Thank you to Nick, Shane and Joe. They did a fantastic job. My trees look very nice and all clean from the dead limbs. Nick took time explaining what needed to be done. This was my second time using Travis Tree Service and will continue to use them in the future.

Nick, the owner of Travis Trees is very knowledgeable about trees. He explains everything and will answer any question you have about trees and. there care. He explained how he will do the job. He gives a lot of care and respects the property he work on. He does an excellent job. We highly recommend his work on your trees. His specialty is Oak trees, but he cares for ALL kinds of trees.

Nick and his crew removed three diseased trees from our property along with some smaller nuisance trees that were threatening to take over. We were impressed by their professionalism and speed, as well as the equipment they used. The stump grinder is a remote control robot, that is pretty impressive. Price was also very reasonable. Cleanup was very good and he even helped us bind up an arbor vitae that was damaged last winter. Highly recommended!

Excellent service for a fair price. I needed a good size stump removed from my front yard. In no time at all they had it ground down and good to go. I highly recommend!

We had a dead maple over power lines, house, driveway , and septic field. They carefully cut the tree down not damaging anything . They also removed 4 smaller trees , and cleaned everything up better than we imagined. I can’t express how happy we were with the service provided . We have a large lot with several trees and will be using them again in the future .

We had a tree over our barn in our back yard and nick and his crew came out and did a great job taking the tree down . We are grateful for their professionalism and how clean of a job they did . We will always use them for any tree work we have in the future !

Nick Travis did a remarkable job in redoing all of our landscaping in front of our home. As a single mother in today’s economy, I was extremely stressed about a very dangerous dead tree in my yard and financially being able to have it cut down. There are not even words that could ever describe what this man’s company did for me. Worked with me to get it cut down. Very professional. Literally the kindest person you will ever meet. Every review you take with a grain of salt but I’m telling you right now if you live in Shelby and you do not call this man, you are making a big mistake. Not only worked with me but continues the conversation with me afterwards to see how I was doing. If you left him one star shame on you. Most hardworking man in his line of work I’d put my life on it. Literally will forever will be in this man’s debt. Thank you Nick you are a godsend!!!

With that ultrafast storm (was it a tornado??) that came through on April 29th, a huge branch of an over 100-foot tree snapped off and came at our house, just scrapping it from over 50 ft away. I called a couple of other services, but when I called Nick and saw what others had said, well I knew this was the guy to trust. Honest, to the point of what needs to happen, realistic about the process. No BS. When he came out to provide an estimate, he also noticed lightning and internal pest damage in two of the other trees. No pressure, just the fact that they were going to deteriorate faster than they should. Having tree tags I checked with the city to assure they were OK to take down. After they came out (thank you) I got the 2nd opinion. Definitely not imminent, but they also saw and agreed there was trouble sometime in the future. Called Nick and got it rolling. As the trees are in the backyard, each being 100-120ft tall and 90in circumferences, a bucket truck would be needed. Nick advises we should wait until the ground dries enough. So as soon as that occurred, he checked in during interim to make sure it was good to go, which turned out to be May 8th. They showed up at 8 as promised, and with a crew of three took out 40000 lb and a full truck of chippings by 8pm. Cleaning up so as it didn’t even look like there were three trees that morning. They also took out three big pines for the neighbor during the day, grinding all 6 stumps as well. Great team, great pricing, professional, hard working. Will undeniably use them again and full heartedly recommend.

Great company! They gave us the best price out of three quotes. They were here on time. Took down a huge 60 year old Maple tree that was between two houses and a foot away from a fence. The crew and the owner were very professional and efficient. They cleaned up all debris and made sure I was happy with every aspect of the job. Nick, the owner, also took care of the baby squirrels that were living in the tree by relocating them to our garden and making a tent of wood over them for shade. He assured me the mother will come back for them and take them to a new nest. That shows kindness and respect. I was very impressed with the whole job! Nick and his wife came out and helped me out with a tree that got damaged in a storm. Needed the damaged branches cut down/removed and the tree also needed some trimming. They were super friendly got the job done in a few hours and cleaned up all the mess! Would recommend!

walking by a job he was doing Nick offered a friendly explanation of the work ,their procedure and the equipment they were using , all of which spoke to a highly experienced and educated capacity. Our conversation ended with wood from the removal being relocated to my property , where once again the care and consideration of placing a load 24" diameter logs is no small feat , I would put them at the top of my list when the need arises.

God answered my prayers by sending the owner of Travis tree, nick to help me in so many ways not just his amazing tree work, but he knew that I needed his help. Travis was absolutely outstanding! He took down a large tree in my yard with incredible efficiency, precision, and care. You can tell right away he’s an expert by the way he explained exactly how each tree should be handled and why, and his skill in controlling where the tree landed was amazing, especially given the small space and need to avoid cars and the house. I had 2 large trees in my front yard growing against my house, one of which was severely overgrown. I needed someone to trim them back. I was referred to Travis tree service by a friend and I was not disappointed. They did a great job. Nick came out to give me an estimate and explained that with my type of tree, trimming it wouldn’t fix the problem. It would continuously need to be trimmed to keep it somewhat under control because it had grown so wild for so long. I’d be paying regularly just to keep it from getting worse. The alternative was to remove it for slightly more than it would cost to trim it. I opted for the removal. He kept me updated on his progress and took pictures to make sure I was happy with the results before he left. He also trimmed my other tree so that it no longer touched my house and made it so it would grow better. Because Nick is an arborist, he was able to thoroughly explain what types of trees I had and how to properly maintain them. He gave me various options on how to manage my situation so I never felt pressured to overspend. It’s obvious he really loves what he does and wants to make sure you’re happy with the results. I would definitely recommend using his company if you have any tree issues.

Nick is a super cool person. I had three different quotes outside of him. His professionalism and knowledge is what won me over. When you have a pine tree he told me you need to lay lime so I researched it and he was absolutely correct. After he took the tree down he did me a favor so I didn’t have to hire another service and came out removed all the wood chips, laid lime, then soil and gave me a bag of seed ( I need a sprinkler before I can lay the seed) . He went above and beyond. I have had 2 other tree services and they were not great… I highly suggest this company and I wouldn’t go with anyone else in the future. He ended up grinding a stump for my neighbor and he was incredibly pleased as well.
