Reviews of local pros in Sidney, Michigan

Excellent same-day help with tree trimming after winter storm.

They do great work! Matt has extensive knowledge on tree work and landscaping. They were very professional and got the job done! Great prices too!

Completely satisfied, 2 large black walnut trees gone in 1 day. Excellent clean was a nice bonus. Highly recommend

Matt and his crew did an excellent job at a fair price! As noted in other reviews, the clean up was on point as well.

2nd time customer. He was very prompt with the estimate and getting the work done. Good pricing and communication.

Matt is amazing, was down in Hastings/Nashville area a week or so ago. Matt went above and beyond for us to remove some stumps, straightforward, took a look and quoted a really good price IMO, I was impressed and give highest recommendation for this guy!

Matt did a great job on our pine tree. He was quick to come out and give us quote and was there the next day to do the work. He cleaned up after himself and was very friendly. I highly recommend this company.

Excellent experience with Matthew. I had a large tree close to the house that was rotting, I hired Matthew to cut it down. It was quite a job, but he got it done. I would recommend him if you need tree service. Top quality work at a fair price. 2 thumbs up.

Matt plowed out my driveway today. He was courteous and let me know when he was 20 minutes away. Ist plow. I am now on his schedule.

Matt was great to work with and the service and price was great. If ever we need trees removed again, I will use them again.

When it comes to tree removal Matt knows what he’s doing. He’s hard working, careful, cleans up well, communicates, and follows up on his commitments. It might take him a little longer than the larger companies but he’ll stick with it until completed. I would recommend Matt for your tree needs.

Highly recommend! Matthew was quick to respond in communications. He accurately surveyed the project and provided a cost effective quote on tree removals. Did a nice job and completed it quickly. All around great experience!

Great experience with this tree removal service! The crew was professional, efficient, and did a great job cleaning everything up afterward. Pricing was very reasonable compared to other quotes we received. Highly recommend!

I hired Matt from G&R Tree Services to remove three trees and grind the stumps. He offered a significant new-customer discount of 25 percent, which sounded great at first, and he posts all over local social media groups. He was prompt with the quote and quick to start the job, which I appreciated.

Unfortunately, the rest of the experience was frustrating. After taking down the trees, Matt told me he did not want to rent a stump grinder and planned to buy one instead. I paid him cash up front for the full job and was very patient when this delayed things for almost a month. When he finally did come back out with a rented grinder, the stump grinding was done so poorly that now I have to pay other companies to fix it properly. Every reputable company that has come to quote the rework has been confused by how badly the stumps were handled. One area is still so visible that it has delayed finishing my driveway and growing new grass.

When I shared my concerns, Matt told me he would lose money if he came back and became defensive and unprofessional, saying he should never have quoted me the price he did, which is not my fault. He did come out a second time, but the issue is still there and you can see the tree roots as well as a stump rotting out that is well above ground.

In the end, the “discount” has cost me far more money, stress, and time than if I had hired someone else the first time. While a great price, I would not recommend them.

I called Matt when a storm dropped a massive tree on my home. He was up to the challenge and spent as much time as was needed to clear the tree safely and removed the stump as well. Matt does great work and I'd recommend him to anyone who needs tree work!
