Chris came out and removed tree parts from a few trees DTE cut down in our backyard.

Told me since I had a veteran in the family they would do it for free. I couldn’t believe it. Asked them free? Said yes. Then said they contract out stump removal which would be about 400. Came back with a bid of 3000. What? This is a tree I could cut by myself. Just really needed stump removal. Said oh you thought I said this I meant this. Would love to know anyone cutting a tree down that is out in the open for 3000. SMH. These reviews must be staged. No review over a year. Use a reliable tree removal service. All for if your starting a business and would probably pay more to help you out but 2000 more. And to say they would do it for free for veterans. Sounds suspicious. Don’t waste your time. And when he gave me the bid he knew I wasn’t going to take it. Was quick to leave. Playing the veterans card

Chris along with his young partner cut down a Red Maple for my mother in her backyard this past weekend. They worked very hard and transported all wood, branches and cleaned up her backyard with no mess on the ground . All this was performed during our first 4” snow storm of the year. Chris is indeed a very personal person and had always showed concern of my requests. I would highly recommend his services and love that he is a local to provide his Outstanding service. In march 2023 I hired Chris to trim a tree for me in the process one of the limbs fell on my fence damaging one panel. He told me then that he had ordered it from Lowe’s. Waited a while text him. He then told me that Lowe’s ordered the wrong color. Waited a while. Text him again. He didn’t informed me that he was on vacation and he did have the panel and he would do it when he got back, well that was the last time I heard from him and here it is a year later March 2024. I am a senior citizen living on a limited income. I can’t believe that he would treat someone that way I would never hire him to do work for me again and I can’t believe all the reviews that are good that he has gotten so just to let everyone know, be careful if you deal with this guy

Prompt, professional, courteous and VERY REASONABLY PRICED! Was the first to come provide a quote and was one of the most reasonable. Chris was very personable and understanding in my queries. He and his team were all business, cleaned up when done and worked as a well oiled machine. Even when my neighbors approached home for future work, he handled it all in such a courteous and professional manner. I’ve already told him I’ll be reaching out for more work next spring! You won’t be disappointed with this service provider.

Due to recent storms one of the large trees in my yard was blown over and through a referral from my neighbor, I contracted with Chris G's Tree Service to cut the remaining tree down and clean up the fallen debris from the storm. Chris and his crew came and completed the job in one day. They were all hard working, professional and a pleasure to deal with. Hired Chris and his team out of 3 estimates I got from other downriver companies based on a referral from a friend of mine to remove a dead maple on my fence line. He is extremely knowledgeable and what stood out was he didn’t just show up, give me a bid and leave, he took the time to talk about options and see where I was at in my budget. He was the only company that actually took that time out to really understand what his customer wanted. His crew showed up 2 days later, got the job done that same day and i am extremely pleased with how everything came out, Even the clean up, it looks like the tree was never there to begin with. I would highly recommend this group of hard working guys, every single one of them was polite and professional the whole time they were here!

Chris, a truly reliable professional, on June 19th, 2025, around 4:30 PM. After a recent storm had knocked down a tree in my yard, I reached out to him for assistance. Chris assured me that he would arrive at my home by 7:30 PM to assess the situation. Not only did he arrive on time, but he was also 30 minutes early.

Upon my arrival, I was pleased to find that he had already cleared the fallen tree from my driveway, which was a significant relief. Although he was unable to haul away the debris that evening because he didn't have a dump truck, he promptly scheduled a return visit for the following day. True to his word, Chris and his crew arrived the next day and efficiently removed the remaining debris. They also trimmed a portion of the tree that was precariously hanging over my home and my neighbor's property.

Chris's pricing was fair, and his service was both quick and professional. I wholeheartedly recommend his services to anyone in need of tree removal or related work.

Foolishly paid before the job was completed because we thought we could trust it would be finished based on past experiences with this guy. Even though before they even started the job, the day they were supposed to start, half the day past by before we even heard anything and that was only to say that they wouldn't be able to do it that day, couldn't get a dumpster. I knew this would happen because it happened 3 yrs ago when we used them and immediately had second thoughts. Never showed when he said he would and then always one excuse after another, broken promises, false hopes, etc. Was left with an entire tree to dispose of after it was cut. Was told four times that he'd be back to get it and never showed up and then just stopped responding. Will not use or recommend him ever again.
