Five stars for the wonderful job that Viens and crew did! The landscaping plan was just what I wanted: simple, easy to maintain, yet a little unique. I recommend them wholeheartedly!

I have trusted the team at Viens with every aspect of my landscaping and outdoor projects and they never disappoint. They are fair with their pricing, excellent with communication, and the work itself is excellent.

They do my weekly lawn upkeep, I bring them in for seasonal cleanup, and they recently undertook a huge retaining wall and staircase project that went perfectly. I will absolutely continue to use Viens for all of my home’s outdoor needs.

We are so happy with our landscaping done by Viens! Sam and Steve were very responsive with communication, and the work was done quickly and efficiently. Sam was in touch with us throughout the project, making sure everything was being done as we wanted it to be. Their crew was friendly and hardworking, and they delivered beautiful results with planting trees and shrubs, putting in new edging and rock beds, trimming and hauling away brush, and building rock and wood gardens. They were respectful of our space (closed gates, cleaned up after themselves, planted grass in the muddy areas) We definitely recommend their services!

Sam and Steve were awesome to work with! They communicated and walked us through everything about our rather large landscaping project! We had them do drain tiles, grading, put in new sod, and hardscape work. It turned out beautifully, and the price was very fair. They also helped us get an irrigation system put in. Hands down the best contractor we’ve ever worked with!

Sam is a great guy. He was very easy to work with. I needed some paver brick work done. He worked on my schedule. Came out right away, took care of the project, and did a great job. I highly recommend Viens Lawn & Landscaping.

Family owned and operated, Steve Viens and son-in-law Sam Casalenda were hands-on leading a wonderful team of hard working folks who transformed my outdoor space. Adding a lighted wall next to an existing curvy stamped concrete patio, refreshing grading, replacing landscape rock, pavers, plants, plus, plus, plus. Total joy.

They did a project for me this summer and I'm thrilled with the results. They came up with a solution to my problem and completed the project in a professional yet friendly manner. They answered all my questions even some I didn't know enough to ask.

I had several people come out to give my a price on doing some finishing work around a new concrete pad in my backyard and Steve was the best priced, most helpful with ideas, and communicated the best. He genuinely felt interested in doing the work. His crew put in drain tile, edging, rock, and sod down in 4 or 5 hours when it would have taken me a couple weekends. The project turned out excellent. Would definitely use them again.

Great communication regarding set up schedule. Our tree looks beautiful! Very nice guys who put up the lights. We love it and so do our neighbors!

This company was plowing my neighbor’s driveway this morning, and I watched them shove all of their snow straight into the street and pile it along my curb and driveway. And no, it wasn’t the city plows—the city had already come through, and I had already cleaned up their leftovers. This mess was entirely from this company.

When I called their office to ask if they were going to fix it—or if I should get the city involved—the man on the phone flat-out denied they’d been there "in the last 3 hours" and hung up on me. I watched the whole thing happen, including their truck with a huge company decal. As soon as the crew saw me walking toward them, they sped off.

On top of that, pushing driveway snow into the street is illegal in Bloomington, MN. If you want to frustrate your neighbors and deal with companies that don’t take responsibility for their own actions, then by all means use this one. Otherwise, I’d stay far away.

To the company: keep your customers snow on your customers property.

Sam and his team are great! I didn’t know much (anything really) about landscaping, and he walked me through the entire process. They demolished my old landscaping and made the new beautiful. Installed a window well and planted me a tree in the backyard. Everything looks great, they cleaned up after themselves and Dam has checked in several times to make sure everything is going well! Can’t wait to use them for future projects!

Worked with Sam to get a quote for a new paver sidewalk around a newly built garage. He was quick to communicate with me, came out to look a the job and got me a quote all within a few days. Once we agreed on the quote Sam kept communicating with me and the job started less than 2 weeks later. The Crew - Adam, Kyle and Junior were great. Arrived on time (or early), communicated with me, listened to my questions and kept the job site clean. They did a great job. The new sidewalk needed to connect to an existing paver sidewalk/patio area and it looks absolutely seamless. All around a wonderful experience.

The Viens crew was nothing short of fantastic! They removed all the mulch around our house and replaced it with rocks. When they arrived, they walked me though the project again and asked if the scope of work was accurate and then got down to business. They worked hard and got the job done very fast. All the employees were very kind and professional. They even left my yard cleaner that it was before. I’d recommend them to anyone in the market for any sort of landscaping service based on this interaction alone. We will be giving them future business for a patio in the back yard and more. Can’t say enough good things about Sam and his team and the work they did installing our paver patio and steel edging. They’re very professional and pay attention to the fine details and also communicate well. They also have the most fair and transparent pricing there is in the business. Vien’s Landscaping planned and executed total yard for new house. Nicely placed plastic-trimmed beds with recommended river rock. Quality shrubs strategically planted that will thrive and provide a thorough garden look. Well-shaped and good sized maple tree in backyard.

Viens was the faraway the most inexpensive option to replace my retaining wall. Not only were they reasonably priced but care was taken to ensure the wall was constructed correctly, I watched one of the workers use a level on what I assume was every stone as they were being placed.

Not only was the work good, but the communication from Steve was great. He let me know when the project was going to start, updated me when there was something unexpected that came up, was on site almost every day himself, and got me the initial bid within only a few days.

I would recommend Viens for any of your projects. I am super happy with my wall and have received several compliments in just the three days since it was finished.
