Working with Capital City was painless and time efficient. This was my second house I remodeled with Chad and Capital City and will continue to use them in the future.

The quality of work is top notch, the materials used are top notch and they let you personalize everything just how you want and provide great feedback if you want recommendations. I have worked with Chad for the planning of both remodels and he is super patient and offers expert advice on what the new styles are and what items will complement each where you might have overlooked.

The biggest take away besides the quality of work, the promptness and courtesy of his entire crew, is that Capital City never sends someone to the job that you wouldn’t be comfortable having in your home. Letting people in your home all day for weeks or months at a time while no one is home can be unsettling. Chad does an amazing job at hiring and you can tell he values great people who are like minded and genuinely care about their work and your satisfaction.

Capital City did a beautiful job remodeling our primary bathroom and guest bathroom. Most recently our kitchen. All three projects turned out beautifully The crew are experts and very talented. They left my home clean after every day on the project We enjoyed working with the team. I was kept informed on the progress on a regular basis. We remodeled our main floor kitchen and flooring with Capital City and couldn't be happier with our experience! Chad was very patient and helpful with us in our decision making and going over costs and project ideas. We got great value and the project was completed on time even with a few setbacks in needing to treat some mold from a previous leak that went undetected underneath the flooring. The team was quick in taking care of the issue affordably and also receptive to taking on some added jobs we requested. After having a pretty nightmare experience with another company on a bathroom remodel, we know how easy it is to get burned with a home improvement project. I can't begin to describe what a night and day difference we had working with Capital City. Everyone was just super professional, courteous, knew what they were doing and got the job done right and on time! I highly recommend this company for any home improvement projects. I was referred to Jeremy Gerten/Capital City by a friend of a friend. I was pregnant and looking to finish our basement before the baby arrived. Right off the bat, I had a great feeling about Jeremy so we hired them to start when I was 32 weeks pregnant. Everyone on their team and the subcontractors were extremely professional and timely. Jeremy was very communicative about what was happening on each day and everyone always showed up exactly when they were supposed to (this is huge for me). A big thank you to Raphy and Fernando who were wonderful and had amazing attention to detail, Tom and Jake for their problem solving skills framing out the doorway to the rooms (we LOVE how this turned out). Honestly, I couldn’t say enough nice things about this team. They ended up finishing ahead of schedule!! It was so perfect. This was not the first remodel I have done or the first company I have worked with but I will 100% call them for our next project. I truly can’t wait, they made the whole process incredibly smooth. We are truly grateful to have been referred to this company.

Mark and his team helped us remodel almost our entire home. From start to finish they helped us achieve our vision and along the way help improve our home even more than we knew how to do. Chad and his crew did a great job in renovating our kitchen. They were friendly and cared about everything they did for us. Everyone, from his employees to the subcontractors he hired, went above and beyond what we expected. Every time they came to our house to work, they thoroughly cleaned up after themselves even if they were coming back the next day.
When we were looking for a contractor, we obtained 3 bids. Chad's bid was the best bid and I just felt he was the guy to work with. My husband wanted to see the quality of the custom-made cabinets before signing any contract so Chad had us visit another customer's home to look at their cabinets. They were beautiful and we absolutely love ours!
We have had many, many compliments on our kitchen. It makes us smile.
We will be having them do some more work for us and we would recommend them to anyone.

Capital city did a project to repair water damage in our home office after a lengthy wait due to insurance. After meeting with Jeremy, our project manager, we decided to have the upstairs repainted by Capital City. The whole project was first class and even better, was completed while we were on vacation. Jeremy did a great job communicating before during and after the project, going as far as sending pictures of the progress and completion while we were on vacation. Upon return everything was perfect...first rate work and a clean work site. Would highly recommend Capital City for any remediation or remodel work...have already recommended to family members. We dealt exclusively with Jeremy Gerten, who provided extraordinary service. He is the consummate professional and exemplary communicator! Jeremy is also one of the nicest people on the planet! His knowledge in all disciplines of construction, dealing with insurance companies, homeowners associations, and claims adjusters paved the way for a successful outcome. Our condo required major repairs and mold removal due to a water leak from the upstairs unit which was allowed to continue for three weeks before the water was finally turned off. As a result it was a total mess! Jeremy was exceedingly prompt in bidding our job, explaining the timeline, and guiding us through the process of having to deal with multiple claim adjusters site visits. Jeremy was there for all of those visits to make sure nothing was overlooked. When repairs were finally approved to begin, Jeremy was on top of everything and communicated with us on a daily basis. It was truly a joy working with Jeremy!

My husband and I had a FANTASTIC experience with Capital City Construction & Remediation. Our first home is a 100-year-old Craftsman that was badly in need of a kitchen remodel and some basement mold remediation. Chad was responsive, enthusiastic, knowledgable and was able to turn a bid around quickly for our mortgage company. His prices were totally fair. I've heard several horror stories about contractors being hard to get ahold of, late, over-budget, careless, etc. Our experience could not have been more opposite. Chad was flexible and easy to contact, responsive (by text!), and all the work was finished on-time and on-budget. When we encountered a few snags (as you do), he had a problem-solving attitude and did the extra work necessary to do the job right or find a solution that would fit within our budget. We trusted him and his people in our home and enjoyed their sense of humor and no-nonsense approach. Something not to be over-looked, he and his team willingly hauled much of our personal trash away for us, which was really stress-relieving and appreciated during our messy move. We will definitely use Chad and his team again and passionately recommend him to anyone looking for a great contractor.

This is the second time I have used Capital City. They are fantastic! I was doing a deck & screen porch repair, and they addressed ALL of my concerns. Tom and Raphael did a fantastic job on the construction, and Jeremy is great to deal with. Highly recommend!

Chad did a great job fixing up our bathroom after some water damage, a year later, we hired him again to remodel our basement. He helped us get what we needed, working within our budget, and planning ahead to make sure everything was done to code. Most importantly, he understood that this was a big investment for us and that we would see it every day. We had only one slight missunderstanding about some insulation, and Chad didn't hesitate to change it, and make sure we were happy with the results. I would recommend him to anyone.

Capital City just finished renovating our basement in Richfield! They did a great job! The project manager Jeremy Gerten and his crew Tom, Jake and Raphy did an excellent job as well. Do not hesitate to hire Capital City Construction & Remediation for your mold removal/remediation and damage repair needs. We have had countless companies work on different projects for our home (to say we purchased a lemon is an understatement at this point) but we have never felt truly happy/impressed with past experiences with any of the companies we hired. So, when we found mold in 3 of our bedroom closets and upstairs bathrooms, we were scouring the internet and neighborhood forums for good recommendations/reviews. Enter Capital City. Right off the bat, their quick, kind, and professional response to our inquiry was reassuring. Our project manager, Jeremy, was so attentive, punctual, and upfront and you could tell he genuinely cared about his work and making sure we were satisfied with the scope and completion of the project. The first group of guys that came in (Andrew, Reagan, Nate, and Al) were over the top professional, courteous, and reassuring (one of them even brought our garbage/recycling cans back up from the curb! Talk about going above and beyond!). Then we had Glen come to do the taping and mudding after all the mold was dealt with, and he was so quick and efficient, and once again, over the top professional and courteous. After Glen finished up, Fernando came to complete the rest including painting. Fernando was extremely detail oriented and continuously checked in with us to make sure we were happy with his work, and even corrected the caulking around one of the bathroom sinks. This was the first time that we didn’t have that weird off-putting feeling of strangers being in and out of our home, because every single person that came through our door for the entirety of this project was top notch. We so greatly appreciate the genuine care they had for the work they were doing. They are the first company that we would not hesitate to contact again when something else inevitably needs work in our home. 100% would recommend!

We asked around for recommendations to repair our roof after a storm toppled a large tree and damaged the roof from front to back. Capital Construction’s name came up more than once. We can see why. They did a great job with all the repairs! They were very responsive, had great communication, and willing to work around our schedule. We’ve even called them back for other home repairs. Highly recommend!

Chad and his crew have done mold remediation for us in the past, and did a spectacular job, very knowledgeable about everything they do. It went so well we had them come out and do a remodel/repair of our main living space and bathroom. They did a fabulous job, were very kind, respectful, and considerate of our schedule, and family life. Chad made great recommendations to make things look good while saving us money. His crew is a very nice bunch of guys. Highly recommend them!

We needed a new custom kitchen island replaced and downstairs ceiling repaired after the dishwasher failed spectacularly. The team from Capital City Construction & Remediation handled everything beautifully. Jeremy, the project manager, coordinated every step of the process making sure we understood all our options. Jeremy was very responsive and on top of all the details. Dave, the cabinet maker, built an incredible new kitchen cabinet including custom door and drawer fronts to match the rest of the kitchen. Glen handled the basement ceiling repair and feathered in the work so well that you could not tell that a 4x4 foot hole had been in the ceiling. Fernando did a great job painting the basement ceiling without disturbing the adjacent walls and cabinets. Frank handled the cabinet stain work, going just slightly lighter on the stain to better match the surrounding cherry as it would darken over time. Travis carefully reinstalled the granite kitchen counter top and sink on the island to match the other counter tops. Dan did a great job plumbing everything, and even relocated the reverse osmosis water filtration system to the basement to reduce the risk of any leaks. Tim, the electrician, professionally installed outlets, switches, and power to the new dishwasher and garbage disposal. It was a great team effort with Jeremy organizing everything, even working directly with the insurance adjuster on estimates. Capital City is an amazing company to work with! I’ve used them for several fire claims and they always deliver above and beyond. All the staff I’ve worked closely Brain and Koehl have also been great with communication prioritizing the steps needed in order to make a smooth transition. I highly recommend them for any construction/ remediation/ fire damage! 10/10. If I could give more than 5 stars I would!

I would like to give a great thank you to Chad and Brian. Exquisite work and great on timing. They did a wonderful job on the front of our building. We had extreme water damage to the face of our building. Not only, did the workers come out, they worked on a Saturday and Sunday, so they wouldn't disrupt our customers.
