Zach showed up, took care of business, I am Very Happy with his work and so is my customer. I am normally not a fan of HVAC people but Howell Heating is good to deal with.

I've used them twice now and the service is wonderful. Zack is very polite, friendly and professional. Very reasonably priced and both times I felt like he was there to get the job done and not take another penny more. Will definitely use again and again!

Home town shop with great service and great products. They installed a new AC unit a few years ago. i was getting the run around from another company so i called him around noon, he had a new unit and install by the end of the next day. Since then he has also done some other little jobs for us and he is always great to work with.

we had them install a new ac and furnace 2 years ago and every year we have had nothing but issues during the summer it will be 80-86 degrees in my house. had him come out a few times after to figure out what the issue is and was told well you could put another vent here and that might help but no guarantee it will 20+ years experience but cant help me fix my issue and me and my kids just have to deal with it really sucks and $5000 for a ac and furnace when it did the same as my old one no change i just feel like i got robbed which really sucks wish i had great experience as everyone else here and that was my main reason for going with them and then i found my receipt now and had to come and post.

We needed to replace our AC Unit. Zack came out and gave us a quick and very reasonable quote. He was able to replace the unit the next day and was very quick. 100 percent will recommend.

Excellent service from Howell Heating today. Furnace went out & woke up to a freezing house. Zack was over in no time and had the parts to repair it in his van. Quick diagnosis, quick repair and great rates.

I had a blower go out on my furnace. Howell came out and offered great work at a very reasonable price. Months later I made mistake on a DIY fix and he came out and fixed it without charging. I will never call anyone else again. Honest work and honest rates!

2018-2019 I'm kind of late on the ratings because I wanted to see if the Lennox I bought that was recommended by Zach at Howell heating lived up to the expectations. I purchased a Lennox signature series hopefully the variable timing can save me some extra pennies each month.

So far the installation is 5 of 5 star. The furnace I purchased was installed in a better spot and duct work was phenomenally installed.

5 of 5 heat. So far the furnace heated my house this winter warmly with zero to non noticing sound. It whispers and heats well with the flow being extremely smooth compared to my old one stage furnace.

5 of 5 cool. The summer finally came late this year and finally got the ac running. My house cools down extremely well and keeps cool without working to hard. I got a lower grade ac considering I bought a signature series furnace because Zach explained to me how spending the extra dollar basically only quiets the ac down. As far as I know it's not loud and its cold as Minnesota winters.

I'm very satisfied, Zach not only recommended me the best for my house but, his installation and willingness to better the process of purchasing a furnace and AC truly made it better. He gave me all the insights of what's best and ran through each model of furnaces function.

After everything he even beat his competitors on pricing and fixed a few gas leaking pipes that were corroded. Now I dont know if he can beat everyone's prices but, where I'm at he definitely bested everyone by a good margin.

Hopefully this helps anyone on their purchases of a furnace and Ac which can cost more money than you plan on spending.

2020 Update: My AC was freezing up and I had no clue on the freeze up. I texted Zach and guess what he shows up the next day. I found out that my own mistake caused it to reduce airflow which caused the freeze up. Long story short it had to do with my own stupidy with the dehumidifier settings. Zach is a real honest hard working blue-collar and did a walk around my furnace/ac and found a small leak on my crusty old lines. (Nothing last forever in MN weather.) He patched it and filled me up with refrigerant. Everything works like new! 5⭐ service, installation, customer service, and time management.

My furnace went out the day before Thanksgiving. He was able to come out, diagnose a bad circuit board, drive into Minneapolis to get a new one, and install all in the day so we would have a warm house for family. The best part was, he called a few hours later just to double check everything was working like it should be. I can't say enough about Howell, he saved Thanksgiving!

Do yourself a favor and call Kevin first. He pretty much knew my issue just on our phone conversation, got me scheduled for same day repair and was so kind and informative. He’s been doing this a long time, and that’s apparent. The cost was very reasonable and he gave me insight to help my situation and consider what I may need to do in the future. He’s great at what he does, and he’s also a genuinely great person which made the whole issue way less stressful.

So please, before you call around save yourself stress, time and money by calling Kevin.

In 2012 we had them out to fix our AC...Great service, showed up on time, and fixed our air conditioner for $134.00. Would recommed to anyone!
In 2019 we decided to get a new Furnace and AC (they were 31 years old) and again we had great service. They were in and out in one day, totally clean and best priced! Would totally recommend!

There's a reason why Zack Howell has 16 five-star reviews on Google. When I was shopping for a new furnace and air conditioner, I got in-home estimates from four different local heating and air conditioning companies. The other three laid out heating, air, rebate, and tax credit information in a way that was vacillating, poorly thought through, and confusing. I'm not sure that even they understood the options. When Zack got to my house, he explained all of my options clearly and succinctly, and then made it possible for me to get a top-of-the-line furnace and air conditioner with a state of the art I-pad style thermostat -- for LESS MONEY than I was going to pay for the scaled-down furnace model I was considering buying from the others. I am thrilled to be saving a ton of money on my energy bills, and I absolutely love being able to call my thermostat from my lake cabin to tell it to turn the air conditioning up when I am on my way home. Howell Heating is highly, highly recommended.

Our furnace blower went out on the hottest weekend of the summer. I tried to fix it myself but after two nights of sleeping in the basement I called Howell Heating. Zack came out and fixed it the day after I called and was awesome. The service was fast, professional and reasonably priced. I could not have asked for more. I now have their sticker on my furnace and will be a return customer if ever I have a problem again.
