Flooring reviews in Hamel, Minnesota

Our garage floor was in pretty rough shape with several cracks and significant spalling. It was time to eliminate the eyesore! We received several quotes, and were debating which company to choose when our neighbor suggested we check out Alamtal. After having Abe come to our home to review the project and provide a bid, we decided to choose them. It was not the cheapest bid, but we felt that they would provide the best product and service. Abe and his crew made the process of repairing the floor and installing the polyaspartic coating as hassle free as possible. The end result looks wonderful, and we anticipate that the floor will stand up to many years of wear and tear.

Coated our garage floor
Abe and the crew did a great job coating our garage floor. We're very happy with the job Alamtal Flooring did for us. All interactions with Abe from the initial quote, to follow-up questions, to installation day were friendly, professional & courteous. There was no hard sell with the quote which is always appreciated. Abe showed up on time for the quote and on installation day.

Overall, we couldn't be happier with Alamtal Flooring and the job they performed. Happy to recommend them to anyone looking to have their garage floor coated.

Abe and his team were excellent. They were on time and the quality of their work was great. I would definitely recommend using them for your floor coating needs.

This is an IMPORTANT follow-up review. October 2022.

Abe and Alamtal came out a year ago and put flake and epoxy on my garage floor and patio steps, and thy did a great job.

You can see from my initial review that I was very happy with the job they did and was supportive of them as an business.

Unfortunately, things have changed.

During the course of this first year, a few cracks opened up - one small, one medium and one large. I reached out to Abe and Alamtal in June asking if they would come out to repair the cracks.

For the next 4 months, it was like the old shell game. I spoke to the business's secretary, the lead worker and communicated with Abe over 10 times via text. They would say there we going to come out and fix the cracks, but then they would cancel. This happened multiple times.

When Abe first sold me on the job, he said there was a lifetime warranty on the work and that it was even transferable when I sold the house. When I spoke with Abe in June, he told me there was no warranty.

Then the lead worker quit and the other lead worker allegedly got injured. Come to find out, all of this time Abe come living in Florida and is not around to take care of business.

I resorted to asking him what needed to be done and that I would do the work myself. Then I never heard from him again.

I had to call another company in town and pay them to come out and fix the cracks.

For whatever reasons, Alamtal is no longer responsive or able to take responsibility with their customers. I have learned first hand that there are other companies in the Twin Cities that will follow through with their commitments.

FIRST REVIEW, September 2021.
I contacted several flooring contractors to repair my garage floor, patio and steps. Abe's presentation, knowledge, sincerity and desire to do the best job possible was far better than any of the other contractors. Abe's bid was at or below the other bids as well. When they came out to do the job, Abe had a group of young men that were focused, hard-working and took pride in what they were doing. It was a joy to watch them in action. I was so impressed with the whole group that I even bought them all lunch!

I have had many contractors do many projects in my homes over the years, but none were as professional, courteous, and took as much pride in their work than Abe and Alamtal.

Abe at Alamtal flooring was great and very responsive! If I had questions, he would respond very quickly. The team that showed up was very professional and worked great together. As the GM for an Electrical, Plumbing and Heating & Air Conditioning company, I really appreciated them taking precaution on protecting my property by putting large floor mats down when pouring their chemical's. If I owned another house, I would use them again. My garage floor looks great! The price was very reasonable too.

We had a great experience with Alamtal flooring. Abe and his crew did a great job! Abe was reliable, professional and educated in his field. My husband enjoyed joking with him a little too! We would highly recommend them!

Abe and his team did a great job on our garage floor! When we initially reached out for a quote, Abe was on the phone calling us the same day! He was able to squeeze us in last minute which was an added bonus. Not only did they have great customer service, the team had a sense of humor and made us feel extremely comfortable. We would highly recommend Alamtal Flooring!

Our epoxy garage floor has only been down a few days and looks beautiful. With a "lifetime guarantee" I'm thinking the performance should be great

Great product, great price, great warranty,
Great job and great people! Wish I had called Alamtal years ago..my garage floor is beautiful! Mary P in Woodbury

Abe did a great job on my basement utility room floor. I had trouble getting concrete flooring companies to call me back. Alamtal was the only one that promptly returned the call, was able to give a bid within a few days, and scheduled me 2 weeks out. All in all, it was a fantastic experience, the job was done efficiently and they kept everything in the finished area of my basement clean. I’d use them again.

We got our floors done in May 2022. We had a new construction townhome. When Chris White came out to our house and did our bid, He was super professional, very nice, and their prices were very competitive.
Approximately eight months later, we started getting a crack along the front by the garage door the team came out and fixed it with no issues. About two months later, we noticed there's a crack going down the center of our garage, from the front to the back. I called the office. Apparently, Chris is no longer there. A nice gentleman came and looked at our garage floor stated that the the lifetime warranty did not hold up to new construction because of the shifting of the concrete. But they would honor it anyways. and I was told that they would do it in spring 2024.
Spring came and I got no phone calls, no follow ups Nothing. So I emailed several times finally about the 3rd email I received a rude response from Abe Ahmed in May 2024 stating this:
"As I stated in my last email, I have you on my list to contact for a redo. And again, this is me helping you not because we have to. I told you in the previous email, when I check the schedule and see that we have some days open, I will contact you ahead of time
At that time".
I NEVER RECEIVED ANY EMAILS PRIOR TO THIS.
I just told him forget it!
Now, it's winter of 2024 and we have a second crack going down this the side of our garage floor.
I do not want our entire floor redone. I would just like them to repair the cracks down the center and the side of my garage.I don't care if it's going to be a different color it's a garage. I don't even mind if you're able to see the difference.
I emailed them again with no response.
Please stay away from this company. They do not uphold their "lifetime warranty".
Update: 1/26 Nothing was ever done to make this right!

Abe and his crew were great to work with. The crew worked hard, were detail-oriented and efficient, they worked great as a team and left the work site clean. We are so pleased with the polyaspartic coating. I would definitely recommend Alamtal Flooring for your floor coating needs.

We had a great experience from start to finish. Abe and his team were excellent with both communication and timelines and the work was beautiful. I highly recommend!!!!

Got a great flooring job. Also got a great business to do business with. I talked to other flooring company but there Professional wasnt even close. Explain everything in detail. I made a great decision to work with them. Excellent communication through out the project.

Abe and his crew were fantastic to work with. From start to finish we felt like we were family. Clear and up front pricing, no hidden fees, top notch quality work and amazing customer service! I would highly recommend them for your flooring needs! The job looks amazing and we love it!

Poor job people. I Spend thousands of dollar to do inside of my garage & my backyard deck area. This happens with 2 months after install. The came out 2 time to repair it but it look so horrible after. Save your money poeple.

I cannot say enough how happy we are with the garage floor Abe and his crew did for us! If I could give more stars I would! Our garage floor was horrible before (and Abe said they have seen and worked on worse). We had multiple other garage floor companies take one look at our garage floor and said they could not/would not do it. Well Alamtal Flooring did it! Top notch work, top notch customer service! A+++ to Abe and his crew. If you are looking to have your garage floor done, you only need to consider one company - Alamtal Flooring!

A quick Google search will show you just how many garage experts there are in the Twin Cities. Abe was the first guy to get over to our house to bid the garage floor. He was responsive, knowledgable, and did a fantastic job. He steered us right when picking out our polyaspartic coating and finished the job in record time. Floors look great, I appreciate the work!

Had a wonderful experience with Alamtal flooring. They were super responsive, easy to work with, always called and showed up when they said they would and our floors were installed within three weeks of our first call to them. Our new garage floor looks absolutely beautiful and it was a total mess before - cracked and stained and downright scary looking. They fixed the cracks and made it look better than new. Worth every penny. They also significantly beat the two other quotes we received for the job, without sacrificing on quality or warranty. We couldn't be happier with our new floor.

What a great company, very friendly hard working guys. Answer ed all our questions and went out of their way to ensure our project was perfect. Once our outside project is ready to be completed I will be calling them again to treat my outside porch

There is nothing like having the guy who sold me on his service actually doing the work. There was another bid I was looking at before choosing Alamtal. It was less expensive, but after meeting with Abe and the assurance he would stand by his work, we were happy to pay a little more and worth every penny. The staff were all professional and very courteous. As I handed over the check Abe assured me if any problems popped up, he would be there to fix it. Very happy the results. Highly recommend.
