For a friend of mine, they totally took advantage of her. If she could give zero stars , she would do that. $8000 for a new boiler is theft.

It's hard to find good old fashioned family businesses these days. If you want a good job, at a fair price with quality products, this is the place. The quote they gave was the same price I paid. The job was done earlier than expected, they explained it all to me and left zero mess behind. Couldn't ask for more.

I called because my furnace was leaking and they were here within the hour! They explained the issue and how I can properly care for my furnace going forward. Great communication and cleaned up the mess before he left!

My experience with A-Bear Heating & Cooling was nothing but great. Our air conditioner went out at the beginning of a heat wave and in spite of having a fully booked schedule, Pat, the owner, stopped by within 2 hours of calling and got the system up and running temporarily. The system was 18 years old and he explained that his temporary repair would need to be followed up with a replacement at some point but did not put any pressure on me to use his company or to do it immediately. He did explain that a/c units are in short supply. When I told him that I wanted to go ahead and get it replaced, he said he wouldn’t charge me for the repair and would call me the following day to get on the schedule but it may be late the following week. He called as promised and much to my surprise he was able to send a few of his technicians out early in the week. They arrived on time and we’re very friendly and professional. I would highly recommend them!

I highly recommend A-Bear Heating & Air Conditioning. After our experience, we will not be using any other company. Our furnace was shutting down randomly and they first told us potential easy fixes (air filter) to try at no cost. Once we tried that with no success, they came out the next day and fixed everything. Matt was so informative and professional. This company was recommended to us by several friends and neighbors, and they were absolutely right. Please call A-Bear if you need anything related to heating and air conditioning. You will not be disappointed!

Pat came out for an estimate on replacing our furnace, AC, water softener and adding a whole house dehumidifier in a very small utility room. He was very professional and quick to reply to any of the many questions I had. He really listened to my concerns and explained his professional point of view. He was honest and did more research when he didn't know that specific answer, getting back to me in a very timely manner!

The install happened as scheduled and went very smooth. All employees of his family run business were courteous, professional and did a phenomenal job!

I own a rental property business. A few years ago I stumbled across ABear during an emergency situation. Let's just say, I now call ABear for my business and my personal home (for heat and A/C). My furnace went out today (Jan 23, 2026, it's -21 in Minnesota)! Not only did Matt work me into his schedule, but he cleaned the air exchange tubes and gave my husband and I a tutorial on our duel-zone system. We highly recommend Tyler and Matt - can't say enough about these people and this company.

Like most folks, I don't know a ton about AC units except that it costs that much to get a unit replaced. In trying to get some due diligence about the process and different costs, the lady on the phone tells me that if I'm going to call around to get information, that I might as well look elsewhere because they're booked until next month. The folks want your money, not your questions. That was my experience.

The folks at White Bear Heating and Cooling are responsive and professional. We've been customers for several years and will continue to request their services for our furnace and a/c needs in the future.

Ty went above and beyond at my house. Came back multiple times to address the issue. And then, when he found something else not pertaining to his work, he fixed it too. Would recommend 1000 times over. They're the best.
