Best company I’ve worked with in long time

I have used Total Construction for some major electrical work. Quality staff and management. Job well done. Highly recommend.

Not reliable. I had to call 3x for a completed quote. To set up work - took 2 attempts to get a call back. Project delayed . I understood the rain delays. However, the workman had troubles with his car 2x. Little communications between the office and the workman. I asked for discount and received nothing.

Please refrain from using this company for any of your construction needs or rental needs. We had a lift rental in place for a week ahead of time and come the date of our project we arrived on site with no lift to be found. Called to see where it was and got, “Oh I thought that was for Friday”. I had emails to back up specific directions for date and dropoff instructions. Then, the company proceeds to tell us it will get down there at some point that day, just to call us at 1 o’clock to say something else arose and we won’t be getting a lift. I attempted to work things out and get a new date in place and they say it’s better if you look somewhere else. What kind of company does that, after all we’d been through. All I can say is stay away.

Owner is amazing at what he does! He goes above and beyond to make sure the job is done correctly. We have hired him multiple times to work on our house and business. Very honest and fair prices, you won't be disappointed.

Was on 694 in Woodbury. A guy in a "The Electric Guys" van with a trailer was riding my vehicle really really close (less than 1/2 a car length. So I pet him pass and he proceeded to do the exact same thing the next car. It was very unsafe. So 8 call the phone number on the side of the van. It went right to the driver. I started to explain what I saw and he began to yell at me about how the left lane was for faster cars and I should get the expletive out of the fast lane. Then he hung up on me. I can't say how his work is and it might be great. However when he is in a work van he is representing his business and he was very unprofessional

Kyle is GREAT! We needed an electrician to do some work to get our home ready to sell and so glad I found Kyle. Small business owner, honest, greta pricing and fast friendly convenient service. We hired The Electric Guys at Ace Hardware And Paint in Inver Grove to convert our outside lights to LED and sign over the front door. What a difference in brightness! They also added some outlets in the store. They were very professional and even cleaned up after themselves!

I have used them on numerous occasions during remodels, changing out panels and many other complex things and they always go above and beyond. Kyle does a great job explaining everything and has even pointed out many things not even related to electrical that should be looked at that I didn't catch. I have given his referral out numerous times and have always heard amazing feedback. It is extremely hard to find dedicated people like Kyle and his crew and I would highly recommend them.

We have gotten to know Kyle in the past year. It all started a couple of years ago when my wife had an interaction with his “The Electric Guys” work truck in a parking lot as she was going into a store to do some shopping in Costco. She had been driving behind the truck and witnessed his driving and courtesy with other drivers and pedestrians around him. She knew that we were going to need some electrical work done to our home prior to putting it on the market for sale. Her thought at that time was “I want someone who is responsible and respectful towards others while working in our home”. My wife took a picture of his truck. She wanted to say that she noted his courtesy and that she appreciated that type of driving behavior, but she lost him in Costco and was never able to mention that to him.

Within the year, we were ready to have electrical work done in our home. By other means, we were put in touch with The Electric Guys. My wife noticed the work truck immediately upon him pulling into our driveway and went back into her pictures and found the picture that she had previously taken of The Electric Guys truck in the aforementioned parking lot, same company, unknown if it was the same driver.

But in getting to know Kyle who is the owner of The Electric Guys over the past year or so, I’m guessing that it was Kyle driving through the parking lot. Kyle is an intelligent, thought provoking, middle aged, busy, hard working, family man, with a good sense of humor. I’m honored to call him a friend of ours. The work that he completed on our home was done with an expertise and skill that was unmatched by previous electricians we used in the past. So much so that we hired him to do work at my parents home that we are getting ready to sell. He put many hours in at both homes and we appreciate his efforts and his years of experience!! And yes when it comes to doing electrical work at our new home, we will be calling him up. Thanks for everything Kyle!! Be well!!

I hired Kyle to switch out my ugly fluorescent bulbs to convert my lighting to LED and he did an awesome job! Super fast, efficient, cleaned up after the job was complete, and the lighting makes a huge difference in my workshop. Had ballast go out in my kitchen fixture. Kyle came within 3 hours, converted the fixture from fluorescent to LED in under an hour. Godd job, timely and priced reasonably! Will use again
