The team was professional, on time, and took the time to make sure everything was done right. We’re already feeling the difference—our home is so much more comfortable. After making an online inquiry late on a Friday night, I received a very quick response to schedule an inspection for my furnace. During the diagnosis of my furnace, all of my questions were answered with detail and patience.

Grey Duct purchased Furnace Doctors, who installed a new A/C and furnace for me in January of 2024. This was my first service call for an annual check-up. The people are all friendly and easy to communicate with.

While scheduling I was specific that my appointment must be 3:30 or later. The scheduler found a day that worked for both of us. The tech arrived about 20 minutes early. Which usually would be a good thing. However, in my case it was not.

While working on the furnace, the tech struggled getting the furnace filter back in place. I warned him to be careful as I have sliced my finger a few times. I checked the filter after he left. Ultimately, he did not get the filter put back in place properly.

While working on the A/C unit, he came to realize that he left a required tool in a different work bucket. After talking about options with myself and then others, close to an hour later we moved forward with the needed tool in hand. Less than an hour later the job was complete. I was billed the full amount and did not ask for any discount.

While wrapping up, I was told that I would be sent a full report of the readings from my A/C unit. It has been 1 full business day since this work was performed. I have not received this information, although the "written diagnostic report" is listed on my paid in full invoice.

Update: The owner contacted me via phone. After a bit of phone tag and back and forth, I received a $100.00 check in the mail. This was very kind and unexpected. With that said, I am leaving my review as a 3, which was also discussed with the owner. Also, the report was indeed sent but not as a PDF email attachment. Instead, there was a hyperlink in the email that was not displayed until I "downloaded images" associated with the email. The technician stated I would receive a PDF report via email and never mentioned the email would actually contain a hyperlink that I would need to follow in order to download the report myself.

I wish I could remember the guys’ names that came to fix my furnace. They were so nice and professional! They were so patient when my cat wanted to help!

We’ve used Furnace Doctors, the predecessor of Grey Duct, for many years, and were a bit reticent about conversion to new technicians. We need not have worried. The Grey Duct people are friendly, efficient, professional, and most importantly, knowledgeable, giving us a full printout of the furnace health.

A brief follow-up: Our in-floor heating system on the lower level was noticed to be not working on a Saturday, ahead of a forecast of very cold temps the next week. I sent an email, expecting a call-back on Monday or Tuesday, and then allow for a lag for an appointment time. Surprise! Sunday morning, I was called and notified that a service tech would be visiting our home within the next 2 hours. He did, and we had a working system half an hour of his arrival. Not only is Grey Duct good . . . they’re also caring.

Garrett was great. Arrived right on time. Professional. Well mannered. Clear in his explanations. High productivity with time- went right tow work diagnosing. Courteous. Knowledgeable. Seemed to enjoy his work and really help the customer. Give him a Christmas bonus!

Woke up with no heat on the coldest day of the year. Called Grey Duct, and they were out within the hour.

Jeff was great, knowledgeable and fast. Would definitely recommend them to help out when when you’re in a pinch.

Our hot water heater died and the guys from Grey Duck removed our old one and installed a new one. It was upstairs in a townhome, which meant a lot of manipulating a heavy hot water heater around tight spots, and they were careful not to bump any walls.

We had Grey Duct & Heating come in for a furnace tune-up work. Garrett was very professional and courteous, did not try to upsell or cross-sell at all, and signed off on the work exactly at the price that was posted on the website. Overall, a very pleasant experience, and we would not hesitate to use Grey Duct & Heating again for any HVAC work that may come up.

Garrett was amazing! He took care of my inspection/tune up and answered a few questions about my return air set up and potential upgrades to my system without pressuring for a sale. Highly recommend.

Great group to work with! My furnace went out, called Nick and he came the same day. So thankful his crew came the next day(on Saturday!) and replaced my furnace. Highly recommend!

Absolute professionalism, install looks amazing. Lucas and Jack did a wonderful job and did it quickly. They both walked me through the ins and out of the thermostat and heat pump system and made it an enjoyable experience. Will not hesitate to use them again and recommend Grey Duct to anyone who needs repairs or a new furnace, AC, or heat pump.

The staff at Grey Duct are great. Communications are fast and easy, they have sufficient response time, fair pricing, as well as solid honest people you want to work on your home!

WOW! Jack (whom I called Jake, sorry) went above and beyond on my home service call. Prompt, polite, knowledgeable and a true master of his craft. He answered my questions and recommended a perfect solution. I can't say enough good things about my experience. These are my HVAC guys forever now.

I have recommended GreyDyct since I knew Nick hung up a shingle, as I knew him and trusted him explicitly in addition to supporting people you know. Now I get to review the work and it was as expected. Great work, thorough look at equipment and Jack stuck with it to find the most economical solution. Call them, you won’t be disappointed.

The Grey Duct employees that did the installing of the furnace were awesome. They explained what they were doing, answered our questions, even laughed at my humor and we had interesting conversations.

Everyone I have had contact with in the company has been top notch.

I would highly recommend Grey Duct Heating & Air Conditioning! From the moment Nick came to our home the first time, to the final install, they were great to work with. Nick gave us all of the options, explained any pros and cons, and answered all of our questions so that we could feel confident in our decision. His team was timely, efficient and communicative during the installation, and we now have a home that is nice and warm, and more efficient! Give them a call if you have any HVAC needs!

Nick troubleshot the issue on a cold February morning right over the phone! Through pictures of the furnace and a call we were able to figure out what was wrong, and after some simple instruction from him got it back up and running! Very grateful to avoid a service call on a weekend and shows some really great integrity that he didn’t take advantage to obtain a fee. Thanks Nick! Will definitely use you guys again!
