Tree reviews in Maple Grove, Minnesota

It was sad to see the 100 year old massive oak come down, but it's time was up so to speak, Though the tree was in close proximity to the house and in the center of the lawn it was safely and efficiently removed and the stump ground and the resulting lawn defect repaired. Great care was taken not to damage the lawn , covering it with plywood sheeting to protect against the heavy equipment..
Urban was also employed to remove a stand of Amur maples ravaged by Japanese beetles and to trim shrubs and other plantings. Some follow up service was required and attended to promptly. Pricing was fair for the work done.

These folks were great. Adam was clear about the project scope. He saved me a bundle by suggesting ways to save a tree rather than take it down. He had a true appreciation for the trees, especially my anceint hackberry. I would use them again in a heart beat.

I cannot say enough good things about Urban Tree & Landscape. Gabe was extremely knowledgeable and helpful as we decided what needed to be done. He has excellent communication skills and responded immediately to my emails making additional changes to our plan. The crew was great! Everything from start to finish was extremely professional. They were prompt and worked absolutely nonstop for eight hours. They cleaned up after themselves and when they left everything was perfect. I cannot say enough good things about them and highly recommend them!! Julie Hessel

Gabe is the most knowledgeable and honest of the five tree trimmers I interviewed. He cares about his work and about trees.
I had to trim a neighbor's oak tree whose branches were scraping the roof of my house. Gabe was aware of the window for cutting oak, and had further knowledge of injection to protect the tree. He was up front with his advice and well-informed.
His team did a great job of trimming! and protecting the oak by coating the cuts afterwards to prevent the possibility of oak wilt. Fair price. On time! Reliable. Good work! Honorable people! I highly recommend, and plan to use Urban Tree again.

Great service! Their quick and competent crew took out a full tree, trimmed 6 more, pruned a wildly overgrown Lilac and were in and done in under 5 hours. Trees look great, yard looks like someone lives here who cares again.
Thanks Urban tree for getting this job done so swiftly and cleanly.

Exceeded expectations. Wow, my experience was positive from the first call for an estimate to the end. Gabe met me for an estimate, provided one right away, and was able to fit us in their schedule. I'm glad I was able to meet the crew. They look like they truly enjoy what they're doing. They were friendly, professional, and did an awesome job. They've got state of the art equipment and a nice size crew that helps them get the job done quickly. They left our yard cleaned up and exceeded our expectations. Thank you Urban Tree & Landscape crew.

We had a good experience with the Urban Tree team. The came a made quick, professional work of a group of mulberry trees that were becoming a nuisance. Really impressive work and they did a great job cleaning up as well at the end of the job. I would recommend Urban Tree to anyone considering having tree work done!

Great experience from the beginning! Gabe came over and provided a quote within minutes of being in the property. He’s very knowledgeable and responsive to any inquiries, and provides updated estimates quickly. His team is also professional and efficient. They took down 2 trees, raised the canopy for 1, and cleaned up everything, all in about 30-40 minutes! They will definitely be my go-to company, highly recommended!

I needed a single tree removed with stump grinding, Gabe helped me out and got me a quote and got the job done quickly! The crew that came out was quick and efficient and did a great job. I appreciate that I felt like my job was important, even if it wasn't a large commercial job (I contacted a couple other companies before I found Urban Tree and was ghosted at different steps in the process). Definitely recommend!

Always knowledgeable and excellent service. Would never use anyone else. All of my trees look great. Honest and trustworthy when they came out at my request, Adam said, several of my trees did not need trimming.

The people I worked with - including the receptionist who greeted me on the phone, Gabe who came to my house for the estimate, and the service professional who trimmed my tree - were all wonderful to work with. Excellent professionals from beginning to end. The work was done exactly as specified for a great rate. Everything was timely, the site was clean after, and communication was clear at every step. Everything I could hope for in a tree service professional! I’ll use Urban Tree and Landscape for all of my upcoming tree needs - no question!

From beginning to end of my project (tree pruning and emerald ash treatment), Gabe and the crew from Urban Tree were knowledgeable, professional and courteous. I'm pleased with the work done on my property and impressed with the efficiency exhibited. After the extensive pruning and trimming was done, the site was cleaned up better than it was when the job started. I definitely won't hesitate to employ their services again in the future.

We have used Urban Tree & Landscape for a variety of needed services: trimming huge old oak trees, removing a hazardous tree within a few hours of the request, diagnosing and treating diseased trees. The owner Gabe Tschida is a certified arborist (certified by the International Society of Arboriculture-the ISA) Having a certified arborist matters; this is not a fly by night guy with undeserved self-confidence, “sure, we have a chain saw”. This might not be the cheapest but quality matters. The guys are great: prompt, knowledgeable, professional, careful, safe, perfect clean up.

Adam was very responsive to an urgent need to trim branches away from our power lines. Great communication from start to finish. Appreciate the follow up visit to review the health of remaining branches. Highly recommend!

We had an enormous silver maple removed via crane assist and then the stump ground down roots cut. The street was marked off ahead of time, so my neighbors knew where not to park. Gabe worked with us to find a week that worked for our schedule and theirs. I got phone calls the day before to remind me about the tree removal and then again the day before the stump grinding to alert me that they'd be out.

On the day of the removal, the Urban Tree team was incredible to watch! The ease and artistry with which they took out our tree was amazing. The team is professional, efficient, helpful and took the time to answer my questions and make me feel comfortable. They work very seamlessly together—their knowledge and experience comes across very clearly as you see them work.

They removed the tree one day and came back another day to grind the stump, which seems to be typical. Both days they cleaned up the yard and street not only at the end of the work, but along the way. They took care to leave things looking as nice possible.

I would highly recommend Gabe and his crew to take care of tree removal projects you have.

i was recommended to use Urban Tree & Landscape, LLC by another arborist for tree trimming on our mature oaks. Gabe drove out to our property and gave us a very reasonable estimate for the work, which we scheduled this November. However, we were hit by a storm in early July and it took down a large limb, which hung up on our basketball hoop. I contacted Gabe and he sent out a crew to take down the limb quickly. And they also cleaned up all of the debris. The crew was great and Gabe's price for that work was very reasonable. I would recommend this company for all of your tree needs.

Urban Tree has been very easy to work with from initial contact to the job being completed. The proposal was very detailed, every item on the list was clearly described. The work performed matched or exceeded what was proposed. Everyone I interacted with from Urban Tree was very professional and highly customer oriented.

It was time to trim my trees and I also had a tree with a crack in it that I was concerned about and had consulted with the city who recommended chatting with 3-4 arborists. Included in my list was Urban Tree. Gabe went above and beyond others to answer all of my questions. He didn't provide a proposal with a million options, but rather the best options upon discussion about the current state of the trees and my goals for the property. He was also transparent with me about not spending another dime on one of my trees that appeared stressed and giving it a few years before deciding what to do with it saving me from doing unnecessary or even harmful work on that tree. The crew was polite and did a great job cleaning up which was especially important given the neighbor's driveway was required to access one of the trees.

Urban Tree care did a great job removing some tricky trees behind my house. They also were very fair on pricing with some smaller tasks I needed to be completed. Thank you!

We asked Urban Tree to help us with our fruit trees. I appreciated how Gabe was very honest with us regarding the health of our trees, and what it will take to address some problems. Instead of trimming all of our trees, which he had originally quoted, he encouraged us to wait until the fall, when it would not have as great a potential for damage. He did trim our crab apple tree, and is planning fungal treatment later this spring. Gabe removed the excess branching in our crab apple tree and made it look a lot better.

Hardworking crew! Very excellent work done! They cut down the tree and cut it up for us and did very fine work. Thank you!
