Electrical reviews in Minneapolis, Minnesota

Highly recommended. I thought the pricing was very reasonable. We had Al and Chris for a few hours and they knocked out a bunch of overdue random projects. The price was absolutely worth it. I don’t know why I waited so long. I won’t hesitate next time I need an extra light or outlet or whatever.

Called Brothers Electric shortly after they opened, explaining that I needed a diagnosis on a tripping breaker connected to the AC. It's HOT out, and I needed a fix ASAP. Jeff and Swenson arrived that same morning, before their scheduled time, and were the definition of consummate professionals. They quickly and methodically repaired my panel and a related junction box in my utility room. The price was reasonable and fair, and the service was top notch.
This is a local, family-owned business, and has earned their reputation. Spend your money here. -
I had Brian and Swanson out to my home today from Brothers Electric. They listened to the issue I was having and came up with a great solution. They called ahead to let me know they were coming and were very professional. I would highly recommend them to anyone!

Asked for an estimate appointment. Not being an electrician, I told estimator what I think is a fix, and he said no and kept telling me it was wrong. I said good, this is the type of advice I need, let’s talk proper solutions are then.
He was irritated with all the issues I wanted to resolve and grumpily left. I did not end up getting a quote.
Guess I should’ve read up on electrical home issues before even engaging? I was open to hearing his advice on what isn’t worth fixing and what is. Feels like I did something to him. -
I’m very disappointed. I had an appointment scheduled, but they completely wasted my time. I waited for three days and no one showed up — no call, no update, nothing. My time is valuable, and this level of unprofessionalism is unacceptable. If you care about reliable service, I would not recommend them based on my experience.

An estimator, Bob, came to my home to give me an estimate on a couple of small projects I don't have time for. Halfway through explaining what I am looking for Bob gets a disgusted look on his face, interrupts me and tells me that what I am telling him is illegal and against code (junction box in the ceiling that was put there by a previous electrician).
I tried to keep explaining what I was actually asking for and Bob just said "I'm not even bidding this project. Why isn't (other electrician) fixing it?". Because Bob, I have you out and am interested in a solution rather than your dismissive and unprofessional attitude.
Bob says he won't do it so I tell him to have a nice rest of his day. He then leaves in a huff, but not before sarcastically saying "good luck" on his way out.
Maybe Bob was having a rough day outside of work, or maybe this is just the way he is. Either way, this level of unprofessionalism is not appropriate in my home and I have no interest in giving the business any money.
The rest of the team probably does a great job and are pleasant people, but this poor first impression steered me away. I reached out to discuss this with the business and was told the owner would reach out to me several days ago. I have heard nothing since. -
Great experience overall. I'm very thankful that Brothers still gives free estimates. It seems many of the electrical shops in the area now charge just to come out and give a quote. (I do understand that professionals' time is valuable, but as a homeowner, it's a very frustrating experience to pay money just for the privilege of paying more money later.)
I get the feeling that these folks are pretty busy. However, Bob was still responsive when I had questions, and he was honest in telling me what I didn't need. Upselling is so common these days that, again, I really appreciated that the folks at Brothers didn't try to push services I didn't need.
Jeff and Ethan were respectful and very professional. They worked quickly, cleaned up after themselves, and did it all for less than I was quoted. I'm happy with my new subpanel and would happily recommend this business! -
Great service from Brother's. We've had them out 10 or so times in the past 20+ years. Always prompt and professional, and fairly priced.

Horrible, hired to connect an intercom system, system was never configured. Then said they need to move the push bar over a couple of inches on the door. Then ended up breaking the door lock and handle. Then sent an outrageous bill for 2k plus for seven hrs of work that was not done, my issue did not even require two hrs of work. They tried to charge me $2,114.00 for breaking my door bar and not completing any service. (Mind you a new push bar for the door only cost around $150) I do not recommend this company, is a scam. Shop around.
