Appliance Repair reviews in Minnetonka, Minnesota

The technician provided updates the day before and day of the appointment about what time he would be arriving. He was professional, friendly and worked quickly. He provided an explanation of the issue.
-
Very thorough, experienced mechanic. Very personable, patient. Taught me how to operate tractor mower.
-
The technicians are so unprofessional, unfriendly and have the worst attitudes. I would definitely look elsewhere where.

The technician lied about being licensed to get out of doing work for the warranty company who sent him. (Literally said he was not licensed in New Hope, MN to work on furnaces- THIS IS NOT A THING. If you're a MN licensed HVAC tech, you can work on standard heating units in NH without a special license). Vish also saw fit to address me as sweetheart and honey and told me that he isn't authorized to operate a normal wall mounted thermostat to turn the temp up on a heating system that needs a CO test. Truly a waste of a service call fee.... I have a full video of the service call from the moment he entered the residence until he left. It is ridiculous.

Horrible service, unable to reach anyone to talk to. They scheduled a repair for us a month after already fixing my problem & the repair was for someone else. The technician was rude when he showed up. Even during our first repair was horrible. The technician had to come out 3 times due to his error. Will never recommend this company to anyone.

Never using Sear's again! We were having issues with our oven and called Sear's to come repair it. They charged $100 to diagnose the issue, which was fine, but they needed to order a part to fix it. The part was supposed to be delivered 2 days later so the technician showed up 3 days later. The part hadnt arrived, but we were charged another $100 for doing absolutely zero work, plus $250 for the future part payment and install. They put the $100 towards the future service when the part would finally show up. 2 weeks went by and the part never showed up, despite us checking in every other day with online support. We asked for a refund because we were so frustrated with the lack of communication. We're now on week 3 without an oven and Sear's stole $350. No wonder they went out of business.

Always easy to schedule and the technicians are knowledgeable and trustworthy

Our furnace was making a noise and Royce fixed it fast. He knows his stuff. He was fast and professional.

Scheduled a return appointment with the technician at the initial appointment the to install the part, but he didn't show up or call to see if part had arrived. Left numerous voicemails to let him know the part had arrived but didn't return my calls. Called Sears Home Service but couldn't talk with anyone to let someone know the part had arrived, just got a recorded message or chatted with a robot. After much frustration I got on You Tube and found out how to replace the part which I did myself. Two weeks after diagnostic appointment I get a call from technician asking if the part had arrived, so he never listened to any of my numerous voicemails. Then I get a final invoice and there was a $144 labor charge for replacing the part which he never did.
I would not recommend Sears Home Service to anyone! -
Excellent technician - on time, knowledgeable and quick. Fixed my mower in minutes and explained the problem well. Would definitely recommend. Sear's messaging system also worked well.

Jeffrey was AMAZING with the repair of my Maytag washing machine. He knew exactly what was wrong with it and fixed it! He is very courteous and knowledgeable. I would not want anyone else to repair my appliances.

Michael replaced our Vent Fan unit and ran the dishwasher. We noticed that we could not read the display information after his repair. It was very fuzzy and blurred. He said it would clear up soon and left. That was not true. A second service call discovered that the sheet of insulation in the door had moved over the display screen causing the problem. The sheet of insulation was moved to its correct position and the display is visible and clear now. Too bad a second service call was needed.

Brett, the Sear tech, did a great job fixing both my Craftsman riding lawn mower and my snowblower. He was on time, communicated with me when parts would be available and when he would be at my house (it took 3 appointments to finish the work), was knowledgeable, and friendly.
-
Even though the repair had a simple solution, we learned several helpful hints about our machine we had never known, even though we'd been using it for 10 yrs.

Absolute SCAM of a company. Contacting BBB regarding their breach of contract.
One broken dishwasher. 14 appointments. 5 no shows by technicians. 3 months of Sears refusing to replace a broken product.
If you have a Sears Warranty contract, cancel it immediately. If you have an appliance that's unrepairable, they will never replace it and continue sending technicians out. Their technicians even state that their supervisors will never approve replacement claims and will never talk to customers. No use calling them, each department is a separate off shore call center and they will keep forwarding you to a different department until you give up. -
He did a great job. He left his flashlight
-
Courteous, professional, and a great value.
I will definitely call, again. -
Bret is an experienced technician in his work. He reviewed with me the repairs needed to be done, and gave me the cost estimate for repairs. He did a superb job and tested the lawn tractor to complete the work. He cleaned the area at completion of work. I appreciate that Bret was the person to do the needed repairs.

Our tech was unprofessional and argumentative. It took four visits over the course of a month to fix a simple oven issue. Would recommend to avoid
-
The technician was very upfront with what it would cost to fix our washer what our options were and let us decide what we wanted to do. Unfortunately, the washer would cost just as much as buying a new one so we decided to buy a new one.

update extremely and i can't stress that enough extremely upset. i would never use this company if i had a choice. we have two appliance to get fixed. one they never have come out just over the phone think they know what is wrong order parts said they would schedule repair once party came in .... over 5 weeks the parts have been here we have tried to schedule service and they keep canceling saying parts aren't here. call to travels it takes me over a 1/2 hour to get a liveP person to schedule appt only to have them cancel via text stating parts aren't here. Same thing on our other appliance as well except a tech food actually arrive found out what was wrong order parts, and hasn't made it back continually canceling saying parts aren't here. so frustrated my husband and I have had to rearrange apps to sit here and wait for them only to be canceled at the end of the day. when I call finally get a live person it is like pulling teeth to speak to a manager. they have a long way to go before I would trust them or want to do business with them. my husband has called 4 times and I am on my third tomorrow. this is awful absolutely awful. I work in customer service and the way they have treated me is just unbelievable. Pleaes note this post is not a reflection of the tech personally but rather the experience from the beginning. We ended having to call a different company after Sears again canceled the two appointments we had set up.
