My furnace broke last Wednesday, I called my warranty. On Friday morning they called and said they couldn't find anyone because too busy and new years. So after many calls and leaving messages because noone answered. I was beginning to give up . The temps were dropping fast. Then that evening this company called back !! Amber apologized for not answering but she returned my call asap ! Next thing I knew Jake was coming to look at my furnace !! He drove an hour to get here . He was very nice and knowledgeable and professional! Even though it was New Years Eve and Freezing out this company showed up and stayed until fixed and running properly. AND still running ! Avid is definitely #1 in my book ! Thank You !! Cynthia

This is a top-notch outfit. I called early this morning and spoke to Amber, who was very friendly. She got me in touch with Jake, who was at my home within 3 hours of my initial call. Jake was very friendly and knowledgeable. He showed up and diagnosed my furnace within 15 minutes of his arrival. Problems solved!! great job

Dave and team were outstanding. From the first interaction I had with Dave (through a referral) to the quality of communication, the honesty and non-sales'y approach, to the workmanship, everything was exactly what I wanted it to be. Dave came in and double checked everything on my full new heating and cooling system from Trane before he left. Very highly recommended in every respect. Would definitely do it the same way all over again!

HIGHLY recommend Avid Heating and Cooling. Dave and his team are great to work with, take the time to explain any issues, and are very reliable. Originally used them with a house remodel--we have an older home with low hanging pipes from the boiler so they redid our pipes so we could finish our basement as well as converted to baseboard heating.

Called Dave this past week after getting a quote from our HVAC company we have been using for years that we would either need to spend $3,000 to fix our boiler or $17,000 to replace. Called Dave for a 2nd opinion. He sent someone out the next day and fixed the problem for $150 WITHOUT having to replace the boiler.

Everyone we have worked with at Avid has been great. We have cancelled our service plan with the other provider and will only be using Avid from here on out for our Boiler/AC needs.

AVID heating and Cooling responded quickly to our furnace not working. Jake assessed the issue quickly and informed me by showing the broken equipment on our current furnace. The repairs were extensive as our furnace was very old. AVID was quick to schedule a time for replacement of the furnace, and installed the new furnace in record speed! I would highly recommend AVID to anyone as their professionalism and prompt response to our broken furnace was addressed in stellar time.

I wish I could give these guys ten stars. They are 100% professionals, providing service that goes way above and beyond expectations. They are also the most reasonably priced, and install the best brand of equipment (Trane). They are prompt with service and stayed working until very late into the night on a Friday, rather than stopping and coming back later, so that we didn't have to suffer in the high heat. When a hidden wasps' nest tore in half during the replacement of our A/C unit and they instantly got stung over 20 times, they were true heroes and braved the swarm of hundreds to remove the whole nest for us. We had also gotten a new heater from them a few years back and it was the same thing - best equipment, most reasonable cost, and outstanding service. I feel really lucky to have them in business in my neighborhood.

I've been looking for a hvac company for awhile now, someone who I can trust is is going to take care of my hvac needs. Jake was great to deal with and he is very knowledgeable. He did a through check on the system and found a capacitor that was on its last leg. They offer a comfort club that I feel is very reasonable and helps assure me that my system will be up and running on the hottest summer day or the coldest winter night. I am very pleased with the work he did and would recommend them to anyone.

Amazing customer service all around and great AC unit. The receptionist is very kind and Dave and his crew are one of the most professional companies I’ve had the pleasure of working with. Top notch! So it is 9:15 pm and Dave and his team just left our home after Dave initially came out at 8:30 am to troubleshoot our furnace that stopped working in the middle of the night with temps in the single digits. Dave walked me through all of the options of repairing my 18 year old furnace or installing a new unit. There wasn't a pushy sales pitch, just facts and numbers. My wife and I decided to have a new unit installed and Dave and his team stayed until late tonight to ensure the furnace was installed and we had heat in our home! Great experience from start to finish. Dave showed up within 2 hours of me calling early this morning and he and his team didn't leave until our new system was up and running. Awesome customer service, price, workmanship and just overall integrity that often seems hard to find when hiring out any type of service! Thanks Dave!

Avid Heating and Cooling were great. I just moved into my house and the heater was coming on and off at will. Avid fixed the problem and also showed me how to control it. Ten out of 10!

I realized my furnace was short cycling when it was struggling to keep up during a stretch of below-average temps. When I examined my furnace I saw it was flashing an error code that told me the problem was related to the high-pressure switch. After ruling out some of the simpler (read: within my ability to fix) causes, I contacted a repair company in my area (not Avid) and had them come out. An hour later that tech hadn't fixed anything, nor did he have any suggestions that made any sense to me based on my understanding of the issue. Eventually he suggested I replace the pressure switch, which I subsequently did, but that did not fix the issue.

After talking to one of my neighbors, he highly recommended Avid - and now I see why. When Jake got here he listened to me explain the issue and symptoms, looked at the make/model of my furnace, listened to it run for a bit, and told me exactly what was wrong and how he was going to fix it. It seriously took him about two minutes to diagnose it, and his explanation made perfect sense to me given the problem. While he didn't have all the parts he needed to do the repair that day, he was back the next morning to complete the repair. Fixing the pressure switch issue then uncovered an additional issue with my gas pressure being too high, which Jake also took care of. He also fixed a small gas leak on one of the connectors. The furnace has been running like a champ ever since.

Jake's ability to quickly diagnose the issue, his clear explanation of the problem/solution, and willingness and ability to answer all of my questions showed me that he not only knows what he's doing, but he's great about communicating with the customer as well. I will definitely be using Avid for all of my future HVAC needs.

Our furnace died at about 8pm, in the middle of a cold snap, and Dave came out about a half hour after I called. Showed me the cracked heat exchanger and explained all of my options with a now dead furnace. We ordered a new one and him and Jeremy came out the next day and got our new furnace installed! Definitely pleased with their services!

I met a hero yesterday! :) We woke up to a non functioning AC unit on one of the hottest days of the summer(only to find out later it was done for). Not only frustrating for my own family’s behalf, but I also run a in-home childcare business, so I was concerned for many reasons. I was given a referral that led me to Conrad, with Avid. He was professional, communicative, knowledgeable, and very invested in his work! He was given approval, and assisted in making sure we were taken care of the same day! This morning I woke up cold...THANK YOU!!! This will absolutely be my first call whenever I find myself in a situation of AC/furnace repair moving forward! We woke up one morning at the start of a nasty stretch of a record-setting heat wave to find out our AC had stopped working. We had utiliized Avid another time in the past for a minor furnace repair and had a positive experience, so I reached out to them. I spoke with Amber, who was just a delightful, friendly person. Although the schedule was full, she was somehow able to arrange an appointment for repair for us that day, just a few hours after I called. Jake was our repair tech and he was also a delight -- he diagnosed and fixed the problem within 15 mins. He then patiently answered several questions I had about some heating options we had been considering for our lower living area and was very informative and professional and pointed us to Dave at Avid for more information. Our experience has been very positive with Avid, and we definitely recommend them for heating/cooling issues. Dave and his crew were nothing short of awesome. He took the time needed to educate me on the issue with my AC unit and advise me on my best options. We ended up not only replacing our AC unit but the furnace as well all within two days of the issue arising. All around quality family ran business and would recommend them for sure!
