Adding to this review to make sure Carl Holmstrom gets the credit he deserves too. We just had new outlets added to our home in Apple Valley. Carl was awesome and went above and beyond.

I highly recommend Luke Neslund from Early Bird. He arrived exactly on time, knew his business, and made sure the job was done right. A+ service.

Carl was very knowledgeable and down to earth. I explained what we wanted and he came up with a parts list and an estimate and made a quick run to WinSupply to get the required parts. He is quite meticulous in his work and the entire lighting repair and upgraded fixtures are great. It's just what the wife wanted, complete with a two year warranty.

I originally agreed to a $49 trip fee, expecting a diagnostic of why my outlet wasn’t working. However, when the electrician arrived, he refused to begin unless I signed off on a $350 diagnostic and repair charge.

Caught off guard and wanting the issue resolved, I agreed. The actual fix turned out to be extremely simple—something that felt like it could have fallen under the original $49 service fee, especially since I’ve had technicians from Legendary Care in the past who performed much more work without upselling.

In the end, I went from being ready to spend $49 to being charged $350 to rewire a single outlet.

On top of that, I had a coupon on the counter that I forgot to mention at the time. I called twice the very next day to see if it could still be applied. The receptionist told me the electrician would call me back, but I never heard from him (it’s now been over a week). While forgetting the coupon was on me, I would’ve appreciated a follow-up.

Yes, they fixed the issue—but the price was excessive, the follow-up was nonexistent, and it makes me question if their technicians are incentivized to charge as much as possible. I strongly recommend getting a second quote from another electrician or handyman before going with EarlyBird, as both times I’ve used them they’ve been significantly more expensive than expected.

edit: I've used Homework's (now part of Legendary Care) plumbers and HVAC technicians for years, and always feel well taken care of. This encounter rubbed me the wrong way for these reasons:
    1) He was willing to walk without doing anything and charge me $49 trip fee to just hear my problem.
    2) I was not given any other alternative besides the $350 repair charge
    3) He doesn't call me back to discuss the coupon I had on the counter
I understand they run their business their way and can charge whatever they want. This is just my experience.
