Home Services reviews in Ramsey, Minnesota

I recently used Mario's Landscape Company for a drainage issue in my yard. I had water pooling in my side yard, eventually making its way into the basement and destroying my finished living space. I called Mario to come out to look at the issue, he was there next day and took the time to walk me through the issue, the proposed solution and drew up a very fair quote. After receiving bids from a few other contractors, it was evident that Mario is not only someone you want to do business with, but a fair, honest and genuinely kind individual who works hard and does projects right. I was on a tight timeline with the water damage in the basement and Mario was able to get a crew out within days, they dug out a new drain system, regraded the yard, sealed my egress windows, and he even took the time to redo the rock around my foundation (adding river rock for a more put together and cohesive look), seal off the foundation by the driveway, install new edging and fix my grass where the project was dug out - Mario took the time to look in my backyard, even though that was not within the scope of the project and he installed a longer gutter under my deck to make sure my drainage was proper in the back of the house and water was moving away from the foundation... (I know very few contractors that go the extra mile like this). On top of this, he did not use unnecessary equipment and Mario and his crew did most of the work by hand to ensure my yard was not torn up unnecessarily and my existing plants and landscaping were unbothered. Mario and his crew are polite, professional, hard-working and they left my yard and home looking better than when they arrived. To go a step further, Mario spent time after completing the project to figure out how to MAKE window well covers for my large egress windows (ultimately saving me thousands of dollars vs a custom order)- making sure that every aspect of the project was buttoned up (and this was unprompted and done late on a Friday night after putting in a full days work outside to complete my project). Mario is one of a kind in an industry where it is a toss up on who you are going to hire and what they are going to deliver - don't hesitate to give him a call for your next project - he is without a doubt the most pleasant contractor I've worked with since owning my home. Thank you for the quick fix and great experience! I would absolutely encourage you to work with Mario's Landscape for your next outdoor project - just outstanding from start to finish - thank you again.

Mario did an outstanding job for us. We needed to install new drains to channel water from the down sprouts and sump pump. Also we wanted to replace mulch with River rock on side of house. He and his crew did an outstanding job and were very friendly. I highly recommend him for your landscaping work.

Mario and his crew installed a retaining wall against my inclined driveway. The wall looks great and is functional and most impressive is Mario’s customer service, professionalism, and sincerity. Thank you!

Mario recently completed a drain tile and patio install project for our house. So grateful for his exceptional work solving our flooding issues in the backyard. Especially since this summer has been so rainy. Mario and his team were very professional, quick, and easy to work with. We are very happy with the quality of their work.

We had Mario's Landscape Company out at our house recently to remove overgrowth of plants and weeds both in the front yard and backyard. The backyard was sodded where the overgrowth was removed and the front and side plant beds were edged out with rock fill around new plants for low maintenance. The quote we got was very reasonable in price and we were impressed with how quickly they were able to complete it. Mario's Landscape Company went above and beyond our expectations. We love the look of our yard now!

My husband and I couldn't be happier with the job well done Mario and his team completed on our backyard renovation. They installed boulder retaining walls, new large patio with pavers, flagstone landing walkway with pavers and finished our firepit area with pavers and stone steps. He went beyond my expectations and added add'l steps to complete the aesthetic look of the project using his expert judgment. Mario is a genuinely kind guy who aims for his customer's satisfaction. I highly recommend them and you won't be disappointed. Thank you Mario and team for creating our backyard oasis.

Don't hesitate to hire Mario and his crew!! Outstanding craftsmanship and pricing! Everything went very smoothly and he always answered any questions we had on our retaining wall project as it was happening. I will be keeping Mario on speed dial for any landscaping needs. A+++

We were referred to Mario’s Landscape Company by a family member, and we’re so glad we decided to work with him! From start to finish, Mario was professional, responsive, and easy to communicate with. His team did beautiful work — it’s clear they take pride in what they do.

There was a small miscommunication during the project, but Mario addressed it quickly and made sure everything was corrected without any hassle. That kind of integrity and follow-through really stood out to us.

Highly recommend Mario and his team — great service, great results, and a great experience all around!
