Very dangerous driver License plate T4666. Speeding and cutting people off. Speaks volumes to the ethics of this company.

Their driver drives carelessly through Andover area disregarding multiple flashing school zone area in Hanson Blvd.

I just witnessed maybe 15 minutes ago one of the drivers rear end a car at the stop light. The light had been red for some time so the driver may have been distracted during that time.

One of your drivers just rear ended my car on University Ave by Vandalia! HE IS DANGEROUS! I will be contacting you for information on this man. Incredibly reckless, it was at a stoplight that had been red for a minute.

EDIT: When I called, they were incredibly disrespectful and didn't care that their driver is a nuisance on the road! :)

Absolutely the greatest technician’s. Especially a gentleman named Kurt who was very smart regarding the mechanics of appliances.
The office managers and employees are the most dishonest, unethical group of thieves I have ever dealt with in my life. I’m still in shock that I was told, after waiting forever; that they were just about to mail my reimbursement checks that I was anticipating for quite some time. I had been paying $44 a month for so long and 2 of my appliances pooped out on me after many many years. Well over 15.
They only needed the serial number for one of them . I had already sent it once, but was in desperate need of the refund, so I obliged immediately . And I waited. And waited. And waited some more. I finally called and they said oh , they need to look into it and will get back to me . No promised return call from Steven. So I called again. Need to look into it again and promise to call back . This happened 3 more times. And nobody would address it. Finally, I get a message from Steven saying the checks weren’t going to be sent because one of my payments was late. Wait, what ?!? That’s about $1000.00 ! Hello , Steve? Where is your integrity? You had some before. And to top it off , a woman named Regina wouldn’t hear one word that I had to say. I told her that I a message way back from Elizabeth saying that she was about to mail me my checks. I was so upset . I needed that money to make my mortgage payment. “No. The case is already closed” I said that I have the message saved. She said she wanted to hear it. I called back with the recording. Left message to have her call me back. And also asked for them to have either or both of the managers Randy or Karen , to call me back as soon as possible. Not one returned call . Finally I called back and spoke to Asia. I gave her the short version of the story. What’s going on over there that not one out of 7 people could return my customer service call? I was not financially prepared for that monetary hit. I’m a single mother. I would have bought used appliances but if I knew I was going to be lied and robbed to. After insisting that nobody was going to do anything, it’s already closed , I told them that I was going to contact the Attorney General. And you know what she said ? While laughing?
“ Ha ha ! Everyone says that! And they don’t do anything !!” I’m so glad that I recorded every conversation. The office of the Attorney General said it supported my case greatly.
I wonder how they split it all up.
    Now how’s that for

I have had interior electric coverage by HomeSmart Program. I have 3 electric outlet issue that is why I have been calling them since I get an issue. I have been waiting 4 days no one did not contact me back with the right person and right answer. Also, some of the women who work in customer service are not honest, respectively, and polite to talk me back. I have to pay $75/Month for that program of my coverage plan.

Useless service. My air conditioner broke down in July and they told me it would be 2 weeks to fix. Who wants to wait 2 weeks for their AC to be fixed in July. They told me everyone was booked out 2 weeks, yet the first person I googled was able to come out in 2 hours.

Edit: The price form the other company was very reasonable as well. Maybe if June/July are your busiest months you should contract more techs for those months?

The below response from the company should be all you need to know to avoid them. Don't want to wait 2 weeks to fix your AC in the hottest month of the year? Pound sand! And don't expect a refund either.

Xcel Homesmart is very good at withdrawing your payment on the first of every month, on time every time. They’re also very good at signing up as many people as possible for the program despite their volume of capability. Xcel: hire more repair staff, & staff more trucks to accommodate the volume of customers that pay. So far just this year I’ve waited 48 hours for a furnace in the winter. I had to take apart my furnace and figure it out myself so my family wouldn’t freeze. And 48 hours of dirty clothes for my family when the washer had issues. Keep your expectations low when signing up.

This service is a joke; they were suppose to add my billing to my monthly xcel statement, i paid monthly not thinking anything to later call for a service and they said they closed my homesmart account because it was 700.00 overdue..yet no notice or anything, Said they had to escalate it to a manager to call me back.. 5 calls and months later and still no reply from anyone. Called again yesterday and was told it was escalated. still no call, called today and was told rep never escalated..and the rep i spoke to today was rude and then hung up on me! needless to say; i have heard from others they did the same thing to them.. 600+ overdue balance with no billing and no overdue notice. Stop supporting these scam artists. I am reporting them to the BBB. And xcel dont reply to me with your automated reply like you did all the other 1 start review. I wont be paying you 700.00 + for a service i never used but 2 times! that doesnt equate to 767.00.. kindly reverse it or we can take it to court.

AIR CONDITIONER:BEWARE HOMESMART BY XCEL was here to my address on May 10th for my annual Air Conditioner maintenance, just so I don’t have a problem like this. Everything was okay per the KB Service Co. repair person. My air has been out since June 21st and was told they won’t be calling for 3 to 5 days to set up an appointment, in this heat. I left today Friday 6-24 to get in a place that has Air Conditioning before I scream. I had a message from KB when I returned, to which I called back at 3:20PM and I haven’t heard from them it is 9:22PM I am soaking wet from sweating 79 year olds can’t take this heat! I pay monthly for heat and air conditioning, fall and spring maintenance, plus monthly for repairs when needed.

Xcel, which is named with Homesmart by Xcel Energy, in my opinion is a scam. I would not recommend any one get Homesmart. I regret having recommended them to several family and friends. They used to be a reputable company. I pay monthly for Homesmart. Last Friday Homesmart sent a subcontractor, Bilder appliance to complete a repair to my dryer. Bilder appliance, working for Homesmart, broke the gas line to my dryer. Their technician admitted breaking the line but refused to repair his mistake or contact Homesmart to resolve the problem. I had to call Homesmart, which I have now done at least 15 times. Homesmart does not return my calls. The first few times I called they said they would return the call in 1-2 business days. I called again after 1-2 business days and the time frame changed to 4-5 business days. It's now been 7 days since Homesmart/Bilder broke the gas line and I still haven't received a call back, my pipe is still broken. Fair consumer reporting, I advise not to use Homesmart or Bilder appliance. And Homesmart don't bother with your canned response, do something to correct the problem

Terrible! My central air went out on june 20th. I called and said can we get a technician out for repair. They said some will call you back within 48 hrs, strike 1! When they finally called, they said sure your on our callendar, we can get their by JULY 11TH ! Unacceptable! Got my own repair person to my home same day! Quit Xcel plan, should be named Home Stupid, not homesmart!

Absolutely horrendous service. I called them because the boiler of my house wasn't working. When they came to the house they broke a piece of the boiler with their hands when they were turning on the boiler and said the piece needed to be replaced. They claimed the piece had to be shipped from st cloud and everyday they said it would be later. I finally called them and asked for the tracking number for the piece to see what was going on and once I had the tracking number they magically got it shipped the next day. When they got to my house they said the piece didn't work and the entire boiler needed replacement. I called Woody's heating and air because I've worked with him before and I've always loved his work and his honesty. He not only had the same piece that this big company claimed they had to have specially shipped. But he came that very day and replaced the piece in less than 5 minutes. Homesmart left my house without heat for over a week and they gave me difficulty the entire time. I have been a customer of theirs for years because whenever I try to cancel the service I am told that I cannot cancel with them.

They deal with a very cheap 3rd party repair company. They never call you to schedule a repair homesmart said you have to wait fro them to call. I m now without AC for the 9th day and haven’t heard anything from the service company.
Stay away from them homesmart are cheap but worse service.

Home Smart Service is horrible. They didn’t return my call for 6 days after I made at least 4 calls on June 4th. They finally came out 10 days after a heat wave of 90+ degrees every day. And than didn’t fix our service. They said the reason the furnace didn’t work was because the last person didn’t put the door back on the furnace, and they left the door off also. So, the air conditioner worked for about 12 hours and quit. Than I couldn’t get them to come back out. Steve said we had to go to the end of the line again (which took 10 days for someone to come out) the first time, even though it was Home Smarts fault they didn’t fix it. What am I paying for? I even pay for replacement service and they did nothing to fix the air conditioner . I have spent at least 6 hours on hold to get through to an operator, besides 13 days. Steve, my phone operator, said Too bad.....you go to the end of the line. Is that Customer Service? I don’t think so. Home Smart needs to replace my Air Conditioner, since it doesn’t work and that is what I pay for. I’m tired of being patient and polite. Home Smart does not care. I am reporting them to the BBB and Excel. This service is a scam!

Air conditioner broke I called right away all the representatives I spoke to were rather rude the final lady said they are booked until Monday. I informed her I have small kids with asthma and pets in the house that's reading 87° her response was well it's supposed to cool down tomorrow through the weekend. With how much money we pay for this service a month and how little we actually have to use it someone should be able to stop out and actually take a look and at the very least be treated with respect.

Be careful. I tried to cancel my service and was told I could not do so until May 2018. Apparently they sent out a letter that told me I would be automatically renewed and would be on a contract for one year due in May of 2017. I have no memory of receiving that notice. I called on May 2 2018 and told them to cancel my service as I was told on my last two calls my problems were not covered. I was then told I would have to cancel in writing. I sent an email canceling my service and asked for a response. I received a confirmation email which also stated I would receive a letter within 10 days. It is now May 24 and no letter. I am now waiting for my bill to make sure they did not charge me. If they did I will call Attorney Generals office and file a complaint.

For the most part, I have had decent service through the HomeSmart service.
However this Saturday we woke up to an AC that stopped working! With the forecast of 95 the following Monday- I wanted to get ahead of the curve and hopefully get something scheduled. I also reached out to one of my network contacts and had him come out and he determined that the motor is shot and it will need to be replaced. Meanwhile my wife called HomeSmart in the afternoon as we haven’t heard from the contractor yet. My wife WAS Told- we should hear from them on Monday!!! We don’t have an emergency!!! I thought this is a 24/7 service!!! My wife even mentioned that we have a company that can do it, but then we won’t get the $1000 refund... after over the years, we probably have spent $5000 on the plan..
Needless to say, the temp is 96 degrees outside and my thermostat currently reads 77!!! With the service coming (hopefully) tonight between 7-9pm! I can’t wait to see what they are going to charge with the extra fees to make sure the $1000 is in there....

The Excel HomeSmart repair people have been outstanding. It is the customer service accessibillity that is horrible. I've been trying to cancel the servive for my deceased mother and it's taken a number of calls and literally hours on hold. Don't ask for a callback because it can take 2 days. Who can wait around the house that often. Also, be aware that you have an anniversary date for when you started. Each year the service will auto renew without any notice to you. So if you try to cancel mid-year you have to pay for the remaining months. Even if the person has died you have to pay the remaining months if you used the service. My mom had the service for over 20 years and because she'd used it during the last 5 months of her life she had to pay the remaining 7 months - even when the house was sold. On top of this I was receiving auto generated letters from HomeSmart indicating that the service was still open and now had a new renewal date - all contrary to what I had discussed with the phone service rep. HomeSmart's customer service is a prime example for me of how far service has gone downhill in the last 25 years. It's dreadful.
