General Contractor reviews in Shakopee, Minnesota

Flexible high quality work. Utilized for an expansion.

We had a flat roof that needed replaced. It was affordable and done well.

Made a purchase believing what I was told. Turns out honesty & integrity take a back seat to money. Don’t waste your time & money unless you have plenty to throw away !

Absolutely A+ operation. If you are doing a remodeling job these guys are the best!

I would highly recommend using them owner of the company Jess is a great guy and all his employees Andy Dave are great people they build great things and satisfy homeowners and as a subcontractor to them they treat me great.

Dave and his team were excellent. Everything was clearly communicated, and the work itself is great.

We are really happy with the screened-in porch that Xpand Inc. built for us, as well as some less significant projects. Jess and his team are great - they were always professional, helpful, friendly and responsive. We highly recommend them!

We definitely give 5 stars to this great team! Loved working with Jess and his crew on our new (old) home renovations. They thought of everything, right down to the last little details, quick follow up to any questions or concerns, as well as updates along the way. We would highly recommend the XPand team for your next home renovation project.

It was such a pleasure to use Xpand Inc on our recent kitchen remodel.

The workers involved showed commitment, craftsmanship, passion and courtesy.

Xpand Inc personnel kept us informed each step of the way and were always readily available for questions and advice.

We now have our dream kitchen that is so inviting and we are proud to use as a gathering space for friends and family.

We highly recommend Xpand Inc company to work with.

I had to have a major repair done to my house, just as the weather turned really cold in MN. The team worked through it and did a fantastic job. I mean, they basically had to take the back wall off of my walkout basement in 10 degree weather, and they still did a thorough job, checking in periodically as they went to show what they had discovered when the extent was greater than anticipated, what they were doing to prevent the problem from happening again. I was very pleased with all my interactions with my sales person Andy as well. He was very responsive, very friendly. I would definitely hire them again.

We've been in our 1949 Bloomington rambler for 20 years and wanted to remodel it since we moved in. It was seriously dated and needed many updates to meet code requirements, and refresh the appearance. Dave Kurschner has a genuine gift for understanding the way we lived in our spaces, and envisioning what they could become. We've worked with him in the past to remodel our basement, so we knew he could adapt to the limitations inherent to a vintage home remodel.

We relied on Dave and the team´s expansive knowledge of the industry and down-to-earth nature to guide our decision-making. Danielle was especially helpful in making several design decisions. We also knew we could trust them to be good stewards of our resources, letting us know what our options are at several price points. Additionally, the Xpand work crews were friendly, and conscientious and produced high-quality work.

The work encompassed a main level house remodel which included new ceilings, paint, trim, doors, carpet, electrical, HVAC, insulation, rebuilding the deck, bathroom update, and new kitchen. The centerpiece has been our new custom kitchen. It was once a jumble of 70's era Formica and thrown-together fixtures; it's now a gorgeous space where well-designed features flow logically into each other within the original footprint. Everything has turned out beautifully. It's hard to believe it's really our house!

Jess and his team at Xpand, Inc. did a wonderful job with our addition. We love the new space and the completely remodeled kitchen. Jess was always friendly and available whenever we had questions. We highly recommend Xpand, Inc. for your next project!!

After multiple remodeling projects spanning over 15 years, we are extremely pleased with the quality of work of the team and subs at Xpand, Inc. Attention to detail and pride in craftsmanship are hallmarks of Xpand, Inc. Our project manager (the owner) does an outstanding job of listening to our priorities, project management and communication regarding the work progress. We would highly recommend Xpand, Inc for remodeling or new construction.

In 2006 they removed and replaced the entire front of our house because of mold damage resulting from stucco - a common issue in our area.

Although we lived out of state at the time, we had a high degree of trust in their team and they they kept us regularly updated with photos and emails.

In 2018 Xpand, Inc coordinated a remodel of our master bathroom, bedroom and closet along with finishing 1000 sf of a basement area to add a guest suite and art studio.

We are currently finishing up a series of projects including a laundry/mud room overhaul, new kitchen counter and backsplash, new fireplace and surround, new doors with hardware and interior painting of trim in the main rooms.

Next year we will undertake additional projects including remodeling a second main floor bath and guest bedroom and garage storage cabinetry and floor.

We were lucky to start working with this company when they were just starting out and they have earned our loyalty.

Dave Kurschner was a pleasure to work with. We did barn doors in the basement, a new deck off the master bedroom, and some extras in the lower garage. Everything was done with the highest quality. Communication was immediate and made the process less stressful. Everyday the crew would do an amazing job with cleanup. I have already told people to use Xpand for projects and I will absolutely continue in the future. I look forward to the next project with Dave and Xpand in the future

Xpand Inc. did a fabulous job on our kitchen project. Everything went just as we had planned, in fact they got everything done even a bit before schedule. Communication with Jess was always clear and concise- he was honest and budget conscious. We definitely recommend Jess and Xpand Inc for any of your remodeling/contracting needs!

A friend recommended Jess Moeding and his company Xpand to us, and Jess's easy-going demeanor and straight-forward approach won us over. Xpand was super easy to work with and adapted to every hurdle that we ran into along the way, including grading issues, finding railroad ties under an old concrete slab, or finding that the house was a 4x4 cedar cabin with no insulation to speak of. Nothing phased him; Jess always had a suggestion or idea that made sense. We put our trust in Xpand and love what they did. The finishes and fixtures are all of high quality. The direct employees of Xpand and the subcontractors they work with are top notch and respectful. My wife and I would recommend Xpand over and over to anyone who is looking for an honest and straight-forward builder/contractor. Thank you, Xpand for helping make a dream come true.

Our experience with Xpand, Inc. has been very positive. We interviewed three different builders and went with this one. They came highly recommended from some friends who, also, explored several builders and went with this one. Our friends' experience from start to finish on their project was very positive. We would echo that, as our project will be coming to an end in a couple of weeks. Jess Moeding, owner of the company, is very personable, easy to work with, very patient with all of our questions and very knowledgeable. The team of subcontractors that he brought in were outstanding! Jess was very responsive and always got back to us quickly. He showed up on sight for regular visits. He was very responsive to our requests for changes and was respectful of our trying to stay within the budget parameters we set for ourselves. I would definitely recommend you include him in your list of folks you are checking out for your project.

Jess Moeding's Xpand,Inc. is outstanding to work with. Our new deck and patio are beautiful. We initially looked at Xpand because a good friend recommended Jess. Ultimately, his offering price came in as the most affordable of the numerous companies we researched. The project was completed exactly as promised. I highly recommend Jess and Xpand for your next project.

The guys at Xpand, Inc did an amazing job on my 4 season porch remodel. Andy did an incredible job of keeping me up to date on the progress of the job, and everyone did quality work every step of the way. I couldn't have expected anything else, and would totally use Xpand again for another project. Thanks again, guys.

Our final addition to our Home is Complete!
Can’t say enough on just how easy it was to communicate our ideas to Jess.
We appreciated his years of experience, creativity and knowledge during our garage addition. With just a few more ideas from Jess, we were able to opened up our downstairs entrance to the new garage and storage area. Who doesn’t need more storage these days! If you are looking for a builder with a fantastic crew, great office staff and the time to work directly himself with his clients, Xpand, Inc is who I recommend to my friends and You…
