We had an awful experience with Erick Marshall Electric when we asked him to remount light fixtures and replace a few outdoor outlets after a residing project. Before scheduling, he told us he would be sure to pull a permit and schedule the inspection the same day. It was a small project, and we came to learn permits are issued in our jurisdiction in roughly 2-3 business days.

After the work was complete and before he left, Erick sat in his truck with the door ajar, took out his phone, and said he was calling right now to set up the inspection. A week passed without an inspection. Unreturned calls from Erick prompted us to contact the MN DLI and then the city, where we were able to confirm that no permit had been pulled. After emailing Erick with this information, he finally pulled a permit. He didn't send us a copy until 10 days after the permit was issued and then called to say he needed to send out another electrician within an hour to correct the initial work. We accommodated so someone would be home. Another 10 days passed, and an electrical inspector arrived. There were yet more issues with the outdoor outlet covers not being up to code. And yet again Erick had to send out an electrician within an hour to correct these. We again accommodated. The electrician who arrived that morning told us he had never had to come out to a home three times before and said, "We really aren't that bad."

It took over a month of consistent follow-up to get any sort of resolution for work that could have easily been completed in a few hours. The icing on the cake was Erick's invoice, in which he billed for labor that included correcting the initial work that was done as well as the time we observed him and the other electrician taking lunch. When we asked he revise the invoice, he again stopped responding. Yes, Erick Marshall Electric really is that bad.

Erick came out to our bathroom remodel and was very quick and diligent. Said he could have our project done that day when a different company said it would take all week and thousands of dollars. He is very cost efficient and saved us time and money. I recommend him to anyone looking for the best
