Handyman/Handywoman reviews in White Bear Township, Minnesota

I just called this place to ask for some caulking along the shower pan in my bathroom. The website says they do caulk/grout repair on tubs so I thought they would work on standing showers. The really weird part was that when I said I was told to look for tile work, they said they don't do tile work. Which their website says they do. So, I'm glad they told me what they couldn't do, but I would recommend updating the website to more specifics on what they can't do.

If this doesn't say they do tile, I really don't know what does. Just make sure you elaborate what you need when you call so that you can be pointed in the right direction.

The experience that I have had with Mr. Handyman in New Brighton that was recommended by Angies list, I believe was totally unacceptable. At this point I would strongly suggestion to people I know that they Not use your service! It was recommended to me to use Mr. Handyman located in Minnesota, so the company did contact me and I made an appoint for them to come out to my place of business. I needed 4 things done ....3 shelves mounted, shampoo sinks mounted, and a tv mounted, 3 large mirrors hung. It took an 1 hour for the man to hang 3 small shelves but it was done well not an issue. Then he began to work on mounting the sinks, he mounted 1 sink and move on to another, then he had to get something he left near the first sink and lean on it and it fell out the wall! Then he mounts it again and moves on to the second sink again. So I ask if I can try leaning on it just make sure its secure and he says yes.... it falls out the wall again. So he continues working on the other sink and puts pressure on it and it falls out the wall. He sits frustrated trying to figure out what to do. I call a plumber and he happened to be near .y shop, so he stopped by and tells me whats needed for the plumbing portion of these sinks. After the plumber leaves the Mr. Handyman contractor tells me he wiil need to open the wall put a piece of wood in the wall then mount the sinks. Luckily the owner of the building stops buy and says there was something he could do to make it so he would need to gut the wall. So now there are several holes in the wall and the contractor slapped some filler on those holes that was not done very well. Then he moves on to mounting the tv that went fine. So now its time to pay, I am charged $512.00 to mount 3 shelves and tv and for the contract to Try to mount sinks......Totally unacceptable I would like 2.5 hours of the charge returned.

Bruce fixed my window that was stuck open. He explained what was going on and gave me tips for how to proceed if my other windows have problems. I was out of their core service area so there was a trip charge, but they were up front on the charges and I felt no pressure to proceed. I appreciated their responsiveness after contacting others who never got back to me or declined my project.

I was very pleased with the quality of the work done by the tradesman that worked on our job. He communicated what needed to be done and completed the job in a single day, even though it required significantly more work than was initially estimated. I would work with Mr. Handyman again when I need a job done in the future.

Bruce went over and beyond to remove our dishwasher and repair the hole in the wall, which was an entry point for mice. And he did this punctually, cleaned up the mess! And all at a price which was quite reasonable. Also, the customer service - reception and scheduling were excellent. We will call Mr. Handyman again and spread the word to others in need of this type of expertise. Thank you!

Loren was great! Friendly and showed us what he was going to do. Job done and done right. We had a kitchen sink and disposal removed and new ones installed. I highly recommend Loren and Mr. Handman.

After roofers removed my large, retractable awning, I had to find someone to reinstall it. I was very nervous about potential damage to my new roof and my composite decking. Bruce and Jeff put me at easy that they could handle the task and did so thoroughly and professionally. I will be a repeat customer.

I needed a small spot in my garage insulated and sheetrocked. I called and they were able to quickly come out and complete the job. He was on time, understood what I needed done. He finished the job in a timely manner and it looks great. Would definitely use this business again.

Mike was very professional and thorough with the work. He installed a storm door and additional shelves in my closet, and he did a great job.

Bruce did a fine job of installing a baseboard heater a door sweep and three outdoor light fixtures. He was friendly and finished the job within a reasonable period of time. We felt the cost was appropriate for the work done. This is the second time we have had a Mr Handyman repair man do work at our house.
We are very satisfied and intend to use them in the future if needed. We would definitely recommend Mr Handyman.

We hired Mr. Handyman of New Brighton and White Bear Lake to install four windows. The entire window project had started with a different company and quickly turned into a year-long nightmare of waiting for the actual windows to arrive. We fired the other company, and when we finally laid our hands on the windows, we scheduled an installation date with Bruce. He was hoping to be done with the project in two days, but came to realize that the windows were the wrong size. The other company had ordered windows that were too big. At this point it was too late to turn back, so Bruce and his partner, Jeff, had to cut bigger openings in the house to fit the new windows. This, of course, involved extra materials and extra work that wasn't anticipated, and turned it into a three day project. All I can say is, they did an absolutely beautiful job with the windows. It's very apparent that they care about and take pride in the work that they do, and that they are committed to taking care of their customers. I am so impressed by the work they did. This has been one of the most stressful home projects I've ever experienced, and I had been trying to prepare myself for the worst. They went above and beyond anything I could have imagined, and have relieved some of this burden that I've been carrying around for more than a year. Thank you so much, Bruce and Jeff! We will absolutely be using Mr. Handyman again.

We were so happy with the work Jeff did. He came to fix a previous botched medicine cabinet installation and made sure everything was perfectly level, cleaned up the area around it, repaired drywall and I think he even fixed our sagging mirror. He kept the space neat and tidy while he worked and cleaned up everything when he was done. Could not be happier. Will use Mr. Handyman again without reservation.

Work repairs for my 2 wood framed chimneys was well done and on time, cost of 2 small modifications was excessive. Overall, I would use them again.

The people who came out to do our project were professional and skillful. The communication was great, we will have Mr. Handyman of White Bear Lake and Roseville back to do other projects.

Michael did an amazing job. And I love my new door. There were some schedule changes that posed a possible problem. He came early to get measurements and I wasn't home yet from my morning appointment but he waited for me. He found some issues at Menards and they sent the wrong handle. He had to go back and get the right one. That inconvenienced him more than it did me.

Justin from Handyman did the project and he was great. He found a cost effective solution for us and did a high quality job.
