Tree reviews in Jackson, Mississippi

Great customer service! Called Thursday to set up a quote to remove a dead tree out of my backyard. They were able to squeeze me in the same day for the quote. Worked with my budget and came out the next day and cut down the tree. Silas and Silas Jr. are two very kind men and I highly recommend their services.

Mr Silas responded the same day when called and I was given a very fair price for cutting down and removing three 100 foot pine trees. They actually did the work two days later. Cutdown, removed trees and cleaned up in less than 4 hours. Professional crew all around. Did AAA work.

Extremely polite, helpful and professional crew. They showed up on time, worked efficiently and cleared all debris in a timely manner. Very impressed with their skill and expertise. We will not hesitate to use them again, should we need their services, and highly recommend them to anyone needing tree professionals.

Silas and his crew did a great job removing some large limbs over the house. They were on time with a large crew and first-rate equipment and got it done quickly and safely. A1 is a very professional operation at a reasonable price. I would be happy to use them again.

I cannot think of a more knowledgeable father-son duo when it comes to this area of work. I’ve contracted A-1 Discount Tree Services on two separate occasions and each time they exceeded my expectations. From the beginning to the end of the process, A-1 Discount were extremely professional, very responsive, and listened to my needs. On the most recent visit, they took down two trees from a neighboring property that were on the property line. Additionally, they removed two huge piles of wood from pine trees they took down a couple of years ago that I thought I was going to use but did not. They were able to successfully complete this project and clean up as if they were never here in less than four hours. I completely understand the reason for being name A-1 Discount Tree Services because their estimates were far more affordable than any other arborist and they educated me through the entire process. I highly recommend A-1 Discount Tree Services. These are the people you can trust for precision work.

I would recommend this team highly. They were very professional. Did the best job, very impressed. Cleaned up at end.

This was the second time I have used this company to remove trees from my house. They not only do the job quickly and efficiently, they do an excellent job cleaning up and making the area look great before they leave. I will continue to call and recommend this company any chance I get.

I’ve now used this company again for the third time. To say that I’m completely satisfied would be a huge understatement. This tree service is as good as it gets.

Silas and his team provided great service. He was professional, punctual, and really made sure I was happy with the results of the job they did for me. I was dealing with the aftermath of tree damage to my property after a storm, which can be frustrating. He made it more than bearable. I would highly recommend this service.

Calling A-1 tree service was the BEST choice I could have made in remodeling my home there in Jackson. I had some companies who did not even want to work in the neighborhood where my home is located. They came out, did an excellent and professional job at a great price! I have many more trees to remove and A-1 will be the ONLY company I'll ever use.

Silas and his crew did an excellent job. It was a difficult job and the tree was huge! After learning it diseased I knew it had to go. I got a handful of quotes and A1 Tree Service was the most affordable by a few hundred to a few thousand dollars but also very professional and easy to communicate with. As an out of town property opener they made it very easy for me to sit back and let them do it all.

The absolute best! So professional and wonderful! Will recommend this amazing company to everyone!!

Really appreciate all of the crew. The office staff were friendly, professional and extremely courteous. Mr. Silas and the tree/stump removal crew were very good and took great care not to disrupt the property. Having received a few quotes, I found A-1 Discount Tree Service to be the best quote for the entire project. I am very happy with their work and would highly recommend them to others!

I have used A-1 Discount Tree & Lawn on a couple of occasions to remove dead trees that were close to the house. Silas and A-1 are great to work with and do a fantastic job! I highly recommend them!

Great communication and competitive pricing. I am a military service member stationed on the other side of the country. Lee and Silas we able to manage the job for my rental property without me being present. Additionally, they provided photo documentation along the way which gave me confidence in the quality of their product. Thanks so much!

Silas’s team did a great job removing our 100’ pine tree that the drought and beetles killed. They carefully measured where the top sections and then the majority of the trunk would land to not take down any adjacent trees. They were pretty quick on the job and thorough on the clean up and removal.

A1 Discount Tree Service was the best choice I could have made. Silas Jr (owner) is very communicative and so easy to work with. The crew was courteous and professional. Fair pricing, quick work, and they hauled off all the debris and left my yard looking better than when they arrived- what more could you ask for? You can tell these guys really know what they are doing! I will definitely be a repeat customer.

Extremely professional and very capable crew - with all the right equipment! They removed several limbs that were hanging over my fence and roof without issue.
I highly recommend them.

I have not personally used the service of this company but as a neighbor, I was highly disappointed. No forewarning that they would be cutting down trees over a couple of days, blocking off both entrances to even get to my home and no one watching for traffic because some people houses were between what was blocked off. I was even told I couldn’t come through because of what they were doing. I had to argue that my home is in this block. It’s appears that they do great work but communication could be a lot better.

I recently hired A-1 Discount Tree & Lawn Service to remove a dead pine tree from my yard, and they did an amazing job! The team was professional, efficient, and handled the job with care. They worked quickly to take down the tree safely, and their cleanup was thorough—leaving my yard looking great.

What really stood out was their affordability. Their pricing was very reasonable compared to other companies I looked into, and the quality of service was top-notch. If you need tree removal at a fair price, A-1 Discount Tree & Lawn Service is the way to go!

A1 just removed 8 pines from our backyard - fast quote; arrived as scheduled; careful & efficient work; cleaned up afterwards - would definitely use again!

We hired A-1 Discount Tree & Lawn Service to trim several large, mature oaks in our yard to add more light to the lawn and to remove large limbs from over our house, and we were more than satisfied with the quality of the work and the rates given the complexity of the job. You could also hardly tell there had been large equipment in our yard. Silas Jr. was easy to work with and made sure we were satisfied with the work. A-1 will also get to your job relatively quickly which is much different than the other tree companies around here who schedule jobs months out.
