I was charged $1,100 in labor for a simple kitchen faucet installation and garbage disposal replacement—even though I provided all the parts myself. After doing some research, I found that the standard rate for this kind of work in DeSoto County should be closer to $260–$500 total, even on the higher end.

To make matters worse, they also attempted to charge me an additional $200 because a small plastic piece of the garbage disposal I ordered from Amazon was cracked during installation. When I asked why they were trying to tack on $200 on top of the already steep $1,100 bill, they backed off and said they wouldn’t charge me, but that they “had to drive to go get the part.”

This kind of pricing feels extremely excessive and misleading. I’m posting this so other customers in DeSoto County are aware and can ask for clear, written estimates before agreeing to any work. Always get multiple quotes—don’t make the mistake I did.

The work is quality work but extremely overpriced imo, the tech was extremely nice but upon further research you can find good work for simple fixes for much less.

Excellent service. Very knowledgeable about fixing our plumbing issues and took care of the problem quickly and efficiently. The office staff is very responsive, too.

The guys at Stewart Plumbing was simply amazing!. Colin came and diagnosed my leak within minutes of being at my home; after I've had two previous plumber come out and wanted me to pay for water values and other work that still will not stop my leak. Colin was very knowledgeable and explained every step of the way to me.. Never made a cut in my wall without telling me what he was looking for or needed to do.. Day one Brandon relieved Colin and him and Johnny stopped one leak. Day two Colin and Kaleb finished the job. Colin put my mind at ease knowing by the time he leaves my home my water issue will be solved.. I truly appreciate the job well done from the men at Stewart Plumbing. I will highly recommend them..!
