Vitt Heating & Cooling

After speaking with three HVAC contractors in 2022, I selected Vitt Heating and Cooling (Vitt) for replacement of my HVAC system. The bid was competitive and the work was completed quickly and professionally. The system, both heating and cooling, worked well for nearly two years, but during a recent, brief period of hot weather, it became clear that it was no longer cooling. I contacted Vitt and was able to get an appointment to check the system for a time about a week out.

The technician that conducted the initial assessment arrived on time, introduced himself, and quickly got to work. He performed the late-spring servicing and diagnostics and determined that the system had lost its refrigerant. He advised that another technician would follow up the next day to locate and repair the leak and recharge the system. Later in the day, a Vitt supervisor called and explained that if it were determined that the leak was the result of faulty work at the time of installation in 2022, the company would repair and recharge the system at no cost, and that if the leak were determined to be an equipment problem the matter would be taken to the manufacturer under the manufacturer’s warranty. He explained that in such a case the manufacturer’s warranty would not include labor, but that Vitt would advocate on my behalf for coverage of those costs due to the recency of the installation. I found Vitt’s position on the matter to be very fair.

The following day, two Vitt technicians arrived as scheduled and explained in detail what their work would entail. After a couple of hours of work they explained that, despite a thorough check of the system, they were unable to find a leak. They recharged the system at no charge and asked me to contact the company if I experienced any additional problems.

While Vitt was ultimately unable to determine how the system had lost its refrigerant, I was happy with the company’s response to the matter. Vitt addressed the matter in a timely way, and, though outside of the company’s warranty period, recharged the system at its own cost. I would highly recommend Vitt as a company that performs quality work, responds to customer concerns, and most importantly, stands by its work.

They were very quick to respond to my email request for service. They were able to get a technician out same day that I requested help. Technician was friendly and knowledgeable. Did a great job.

After we made it through the repair a few weeks later We decided to install an entirely new system to prevent upkeep in our very old unit. Kevin went above and beyond helping us through the quote, scheduling and installation! Jeff, Nick D, Nick U, and Vic all made sure our gas line work and install was up to code, safe, efficient and comfortable!!! Knocked out the big job in a days time! Theresa and Jess were imperative in getting everything on schedule and complete! You have our business for another 30+ years! Thank You!
