Mover reviews in Grain Valley, Missouri

Great company, this our second time using them. They are professional, friendly and efficient. They arrived during the promised window of time. I had a few heavy big items and they handled them like pros. I was quoted 3 movers and a 2 hour time, 3 movers arrived and were done within that time. My final payment was exactly what I had been quoted.

I really enjoyed working with Tim and the other 2 movers on the day of our move! They got us moved out and moved into our new house in 3.5 hours! I was impressed with their efficiency and the price for the time they put in!
Official response from representative 14.05.2026 18:05Thank you so much Bonnie! -
This whole organization is top notch from the owner Cole to my movers Cody & Clyde. They actually did such amazing job I referred them to two of my other friends Hattie & Candice who used them as well and also had nothing but rave reviews about them.
From your first call to them to the care they took with all our items I highly recommend.. wouldn't think twice using them again if needed in the future! : )Official response from representative 30.09.2025 15:10Thank you so much Darci! We appreciate your business and the referrals! -
A few items weren't delivered quite right, lost brackets to some shelves and bolts to fridge handles. May have a little damage to one piece of furniture.
Job took much longer than anticipated, that may have been on me to provide more detail on the load.Official response from representative 23.08.2025 18:45Hi Cary, I would be glad to replace any missing hardware and my repair guy can take care of any damage. Give me a call when you can. With regard to the time the move took, I was given a really small inventory list and I'm now seeing that a 2 man crew knocked out an entire 4 bedroom house in 8 hours which is honestly phenomenal. Normally on a 4 bedroom, 2900 SQ FT house, we send at least 3 guys, if not 2 trucks and 4 movers. We appreciate you taking the time to leave a review and your business. -
The Moving Pros team was great! The movers (unfortunately, I can't remember the 3 guys' names) were on time, quick and professional. We appreciated how they took care of our furniture and still didn't waste time getting everything loaded and unloaded. A great value for the cost. Would definitely recommend their services to others.

The movers were great... very thoughtful. All 3 of our movers were very personable and considerate of our belongings.

I used moving pros for the second time. My movers were Andre and Clyde. They were great. It was very hot. Moving from a 3rd floor apartment. It only took them one hour and 15 minutes to complete the move. I had 5 big item and probably 25 smaller ones. They hustle so much it was amazing. They billed me for 2 hours and it was worth it. I tipped them each 40.00. Thank you Moving Pros.
Official response from representative 14.07.2025 17:53Thank you Raymond! -
We have use Moving Pros on two occasions in the past 4 years. These gentlemen have went above and beyond, not only on protection of our possessions, but also time when our truck was full. They moved us 3.5 hours from home to home and then made sure to unload and place all the items safely in their new destination. The guys made sure to take care of every detail down to making sure that every item was taken care of and secured in the truck. They worked hard, were honest, polite and worked as professionals. My wife and I would not recommend anyone else. They are first rate and deserve all 5 stars!
Official response from representative 15.05.2025 00:53Thank you for the kind words Jason. We appreciate your business! -
When entering a contract with a "5 Star" moving company to move from a 5-bedroom house to a 3-bedroom house, 29 miles you assume the level of service and customer care would meet or even exceed your expectations. After all, this is the 4th time you have moved in 7 years and have never had one issue with the other moving companies. You decide this time to support a small, locally owned family business, instead of using one of the moving companies you have worked with in the past.
Your expectations are that they will be on time or close to it, professionalism, experience, and a sense of urgency. If you are expected between the hours of 8 to 9 AM and call at 8:35 AM to say you are 20 to 25 minutes out, you don't expect them to show up at 9:36 AM. No big deal, they will move fast and make up time, right? These guys are professionals, so when they arrive or at least the 3 other moving companies I worked with in the previous 7 years arrived, they immediately tour the house and start laying down protective runner mats and plastic to protect your flooring from dirty shoes, scuffs, snags, rips and tears. You wouldn't think you would have to stop the movers a third of the way through the move, as you watch them snag and rip your stairway carpet on over half your steps. Finally, they lay down a runner but is dirty and gross barely something I would put in my garage let alone my new house. But these guys are experienced, trained pros, right? Moments later, you walk into one of your bedrooms they just emptied and find a big gash in your wall, accidents happen and the mover after about 20 minutes, took me in to show me the damage. I can live with it, but it will have to be repaired, along with the ripped carpet on the stairs. You stay calm and collected, as you don't want to upset the movers, you want to get this done as fast as possible.
After the old house is packed up, into 1 full truck and a third of a second truck it is time to make the 29-mile drive to your new home. This is a 40-minute drive for me, but I expect the movers to be a little bit slower as they have big fully loaded trucks. I would think since their website states that they have "use the best equipment" that it would take slightly longer to arrive. After 1 hour and 50 minutes the movers arrive (that is an average of 32 miles per hour, give or take). Again, not a big deal if I don't get charged for the excessive time it took to go 29 miles. The move in goes well, until it comes time to pay the bill. My bill is $2500, but since there is damage to my old house, I tell the driver that I will pay $2000 of the balance and the remaining $500 when the repairs are done. Afterall, what leverage do I have that they will come back and do the repairs? Seems reasonable huh? I don't pay any other jobs on my home or car until ALL services are complete. I did fib to the drivers and tell them that I talked to the owner, and he agreed. I did this because I did not want any more hassle, I was tired, frustrated and very dissatisfied with the day's events. The movers were slow and inefficient, and it seemed like they were dragging their feet just to extend the hourly rate. What should have been a straightforward move turned into an arduous, drawn-out process. About 20 minutes later 2 of the drivers appeared at my door asking for the remaining $500, I said no way. They called the owner and handed the phone over to me. This guy was extremely unprofessional. All he kept saying was "you signed a contract". I tried to make him understand that I had no guarantees that he would fix the damage to my old house, but once I was made whole, he would be made whole. Simple. He kept saying this was a routine claim job and I said cool, then when you fix my old house, I will pay you. He hung up on me. I text him, here is his reply.
The next morning, I am checking my bank accounts and credit card statements and notice that the owner had done an unauthorized charge to my credit card (I gave him the CC# to hold the truck and movers, we paid by check because they have a 3% CC fee). I never authorized him to charge my credit card. However, he reversed that charge later the next day, only because my wife had called him (she knows of him through mutual friends), otherwise this would have been fraudulent or theft. I would have disputed the charges, but nonetheless it goes to integrity and how the owner does business. Long story short my wife took off work for over 4 hours to oversee the repairs (they only patched the wall, they cut the snags on the carpet, did not repair the floor at the top of the steps), and we paid the remaining balance, which was reduced by $100, $2405 was the final amount.
This company is not recognized by the Better Business Bureau, his movers are poorly trained or take no pride in their work and their equipment is less than exceptional (they used a dolly that I provided, that was way superior to their carpet snagging dollies). This is an accurate depiction and faOfficial response from representative 18.03.2025 19:19There were a few minor damages on this move. My office manager/trainer was on this 2 truck, 4 man move and there was a trainee on the job. He dented a wall and grabbed a dolly that was not supposed to be in use as it needed the stair climber sliders replaced and they had not arrived yet. This caused the carpet to snag and very minor blemishes on the top wood trim piece. All simple fixes and these things happen with trainees on a large move. At the end of a long move, my manager calls me to do… -
Cole provided some very professional, hard-working young men to help us move from two homes into a new one
They never stopped working and were very courteous at a great price. We would recommend them to anyone and use them again. -
This company was great! I arranged services with Cody the owner and had to move my moving day twice because of bad wintery weather. They were able to accommodate the reschedule twice with no issues. We got a 26' truck and 3 guys and when I tell you they got to work, they got to work. I had everything ready to be loaded and when the clock started and I signed the paperwork, they had already started loading the items I pointed out. The main mover I spoke with was Deandre and I couldn't recommend him and his crew any more than I would! They made the move easy, and had to take apart my fridge doors to get the fridge into my kitchen and did it quickly and no damage or issues happened.
The price was well worth the work and saved my wife and I an entire days worth or more of our time and they did it in less than 4 hours.
Will definitely use their services in the future with my next move (which I hope is never because moving sucks).Official response from representative 14.02.2025 00:27Thank you for taking the time to leave this review. We appreciate your business! -
We had been talking for months about this move. The morning of they called to confirm time. So far so good...I tell them the trailer had been locked since June and animals were in and out of it and it smelled. We get there and without going in they said they couldn't do it. The one walked away. The other just stood there repeating they couldn't do it. I told them to leave I didn't need them
Causing me to loose the day of moving. Because of this a lot of my stuff was demolished with the trailer. Didn't have enough time since it was wasted.Official response from representative 08.02.2025 18:05This is very unfortunate to see. I don't want to sould rude but as you said, the house had been open to weather, animals, etc for months. Had you told me the details when we initially spoke, I would have refused the job but you didn't mention anything about the conditions until the crew was on their way. There was construction going on and there were holes in the floor. As soon as the door was opened the crew was hit with a rancid smell. We reserve the right to refuse service when a move is uns… -
I would never hire Cole again. The reason is simple: he didn't move us. We were supposed to move today, but now we're doing it ourselves. All he did was give excuses.
His employee, Devonte, called me at 12:06 PM, telling us he would be here in about 45 minutes. This was after already rescheduling from 10:00 AM due to his trucks having issues caused by the low temperatures. Then, while we were waiting, Devonte called me again at 1:34 PM to say he wouldn't be coming because one of the three helpers we hired had hurt his ankle, and they weren't coming at all. Devonte was extremely rude and disrespectful during the call.
I tried calling Cole, left a voicemail, but he never called me back. Instead, he just texted me more excuses. The ironic part? We had furniture deliveries today, and I saw plenty of trucks out and about.
Frustrated, I went to U-Haul in Tiffany Springs and rented a truck for less than $50. When I told them what happened, they recommended Dexter from Bunches of Olives. He is now helping us for a very reasonable last-minute price. He has his own truck but gave us an even better deal since we rented a U-Haul.
Dexter is the person you want helping you move.Official response from representative 08.02.2025 18:21Unbelievable. It was negative 7 degrees out so even though we took all possible measures to avoid it, the fuel gelled in my trucks which is common when it. You can see from the texts if you posted them all that we were in touch the entire time. I get your frustration. I informed you as soon as the mechanic got the truck going, then the air brake lines froze so the truck wouldn't move. All of this was out of my control and I did everyting I could to get you moved that day. Regarding the "iron… -
They two guys that handled the move were excellent. We got through it pretty much as estimated.

The guys were great, polite and helpful did as we asked and did not dilly dally around. Would tells friends about them.

This company is absolutely terrible. I'm reading other reviews where they moveed a 5 bedroom house in less than 5 hours. I have a 4 bedroom house and only moved 5 min away that took them over 8 hours. And at the new house I was so irritated I just had them drop 75% of the house in the garage because they were taking so long. The only reason it took so long is because the guys that were doing it kept stopping and playing on their phones and would disappear for 30 to 45 minutes at a time, this happened 4 or 5 different times. Plus they kept smoking in the driveway even after I asked them not to. Then they charged us an extra fee they shouldn't have. And when I called to complain about it they just hung up on me twice and told me not to call back because I said a single cuss word. I'm filing a complaint with a better Business bureau and the attorney general and I will spread the word to everybody I know never to use these people ever.
Official response from representative 23.07.2024 15:52As our reputation indicates, we are absolutely not "absolutely terrible". We have been and continue to be the #1 rated mover on Yelp since 2015 for a reason. My crew did a great job and there was zero damage on the move. A 4 bedroom house taking 8 hours with a 3 man crew is completely normal, if not above average. I dealt with the wife from start to finish on this process and this guy called me after the move to complain about how long the move took. As always, I was prepared to hear him out… -
The more I unpack the worse it gets. I just unpacked a box of toiletries from the master bathroom and found a bottle of Drano all over my items. These packers obviously just three things in a box without any concern whether they would spill or break. I cannot recommend them to anyone. The more I see the worse it gets. We gave each packer $100 cash tip so they were not at all negatively affected by this review. If the owner wants to contact me to try to make things right, he has my phone number but I doubt I'll hear from him.
Official response from representative 26.06.2024 00:09To address a few things... I'm sorry the packers didn't do a great job for you. I wouldn't have known had I not went on here and checked recent reviews. Generally, when there's an issue, I'm given an opportunity to make it right, which I always do. We only bring out wardrobes upon request as they're $20 each and a lot of customers prefer not to pay that. At no point in all of our correspondence including me having to change the entire schedule around the afternoon before your move date to acco… -
I have used Moving Pros three times now and they have been awesome every time. This company provides exceptional service with awesome rates and no hidden fees. Cole is very responsive with quotes and answering questions. All of three of the crews that provided the moving services were professional, fast, and pleasant to work with. Most recently Cary and Ruben helped me move and they were great. They were very efficient and very attentive in making sure everything went where I wanted it. I was impressed with how quickly they got the job done and how easy they were to work with. I highly recommend Moving Pros!

I am a bit late in writing this review as I was moved at the end of July 2023. There were a couple of delays due to weather but I was kept up to date and rescheduled at the earliest possible time, within 1-2 days. They arrived on time, were very pleasant and efficient, professional/friendly. Once I reviewed what needed to be done, they verbalized understanding and allowed me to leave. Prior to leaving I provided information about a tense situation with a female owner and pleaded with them not to leave my things if she showed up. Upon their arrival at my new home, they were so pleasant, never missing a beat as they delivered my things with care to the appropriate areas. They also shared their experience with this woman from the old address including how she stormed their vehicle demanding to know where I had relocated and threatening to call the police on them. They apparently laughed it off while ignoring her and carrying on. I cannot thank these two young men enough for what they did. I strongly recommend this vendor with confidence for every right reason. Pricing, communication, handling of property. If you want the best....call Moving Pros!!

These guys are the best!! Rubin and Johnny were on time, friendly and respectful of my belongings. Their rates were great too. I would look no further for all of your moving needs.
