Contacted them for advice on converting our fireplace. Very professional. I dealt with the owner on the phone and his son in person. Clear explanations and exceptionally helpful. Unusually good human beings.

Business with integrity. I was in the process of buying a new home, and we contracted Ashes Away to do a chimney inspection. Josh arrived, informed us that the fireplace was non-vented gas, and therefore we would not likely benefit from a chimney inspection, as our setup does not actually use the chimney. Therefore, inspecting it would neither provide relevant information on safety or needed improvements, nor would it give us information to leverage in our offer.
Josh's honesty and integrity saved us an unnecessary cost, as he didn't charge us a dime. This is exactly the kind of company I want to do business with in the future. Highly recommended. -
Contacted them for a chimney clean. The owner was very informative and responsive. On the day of the appointment he communicated several times to keep us updated on when he would be arriving. Once he looked at our chimney he determined that it did not need a cleaning and said he didn't wAnt to charge us for something that didn't need cleaning. I was completely impressed with his honesty and grateful for how he went about his business. Although he didn't do a cleaning, I will vouch for how honest, professional and strait forward he is. Highly recommend.

Very polite, professional and friendly. Did a good job cleaning as well as educating me on issues with a stove that we have and cleaned up everything. Not a trace of ash left after he was gone.

This company is not certified by the National Fireplace Institute. I paid them over $3,000 to do repairs on my chimney and fireplace, but they did not parge the smoke chamber, as I later learned from a certified technician, and my house would gradually fill with smoke after burning my fireplace for an hour. Make sure you hire a company with proper certification.
