Foundation reviews in High Ridge, Missouri

I was referred to this business by Yelp. I got a message back from someone who told me they would "call me on Monday" . Not sure which Monday he meant but it's been weeks. How do you justify considering a business when this is the level of service you get right up front?
Official response from representative 07.05.2026 19:24Brian I am so sorry. You contacted us over the weekend and we failed to call you back that Monday. I apologize we let your message slip through. We take pride in servicing our customers but unfortunately follow through with you. -
We called several companies for quotes for the crack in our basement wall. High & Dry were by far the most responsive, best priced, and could come fix it within 2 weeks. We are so glad we chose them!
Official response from representative 03.02.2025 00:27Thank you Robyn! We appreciate your trust in us. -
High-Quality Solution / Work, Competitive Pricing, Professional and Thorough
Summary
High & Dry Foundation Repair was great to work with from start to finish! They braced my basement foundation wall with carbon fiber straps and sealed my cracks with epoxy, urethane, or curtain injections.
Details
Evaluation - In light of the different solutions, and varying price points, provided by multiple foundation repair companies, I eventually had eight different foundation repair companies evaluate and bid on the project. After I completed a thorough review of all the proposed solutions, I hired a structural engineer to evaluate the situation and provide his expert opinion. Upon completion, I selected High & Dry Foundation Repair.
While pricing was certainly important, it was just one of many criteria.
* Attention to Detail - Evaluation / Proposal - Thorough
* Proposed Solution - The structural engineer and I felt this was a high-quality solution.
* Price - Very competitive
* Warranty - High & Dry provided a warranty and the Carbon Fiber Manufacturer (Fortress) also provided a warranty. From my perspective, this was important because it's hard to say if the foundation company will be around in 5,10 or 20 years.
* Contract Language - Easy to follow with reasonable terms.
A few other minor items
* Scheduling - Easy / Flexible
* Office Staff - Professional and Responsive
* On Site Personnel - Polite, professional, and provided the necessary updates on the project.
* Final Solution - Installed as proposed.
JOB WELL DONE! Overall, I had a great experience from start to finish.Official response from representative 09.01.2024 19:20Thank you Gary! We appreciate your business. -
I had a great experience with this company. They came out & gave me a bid without any issues. Totally explained what they would be doing. I was very happy with the bid. They arrived on time to get the work done. All three workers did a great job. Cleaned up the basement perfectly, answered all my questions and also cleaned up the yard where they were making the concrete. I have not 1 criticism!

Had an appointment for him to come out an give me an estimate. Never showed up and never called.
Official response from representative 04.08.2022 18:39Tom I’m sorry to hear that. When was the appointment set for and who was the estimator. We take pride in taking care of our customers. Any info you can provide will help us be better in the future. -
They filled a crack in my basement and did an excellent job. Casey was prompt and efficient. She worked really hard to make my basement look good again! Thanks for the great work!

I decided on high and Dry to perform some long overdue crack repairs in my basement. At the first meeting with one of their staff I was taken with their straightforward honesty and expertise and chose them over another well known firm to fix my basement. Their pricing was very fair and when the crew arrived to do the work they were friendly, polite and capable.
The work was done well and they left the work areas neat and clean, no mess or debris left behind.
Weeks later a heavy rain revealed some leakage behind a couple electrical receptacles I had thought were too much trouble to remove and hoped we could get away with not sealing the cracks behind them. When I called them back they were on it immediately and scheduled a follow-up visit to address the leaks. I was able to remove the electrical boxes to give them access and found another 4 feet of cracks besides.
They arrived right on time, repaired both the hidden and the newfound cracks and did it all at no charge, even though it was no fault of theirs.
I am truly impressed with the quality of their people and their work.
I could not recommend High and Dry any more highly.Official response from representative 08.06.2020 17:05Thanks Rob! We appreciate your business. Thx Tom -
Unfortunately reviewing this company seems to be my only recourse. June 25, Tom came out to give me an estimate. His paperwork detailed what was to be done to make my basement free of water. August 9, the work was completed. I had water in my basement on August 22 and August 26.
When talking to Cindy the first time, she explained that I probably needed a sump pump. I already have one. The second time the water poured in, she said someone would have to look at it. Instead of making sure an existing customer was treated fairly, I actually had to wait until today, October 6, to get someone out here. I have now been told I have a different problem that will cost several hundred dollars to repair. Why didn't Tom reveal this when he came to do the original estimate?
Cindy and I have had several conversations over the past four months. When I asked for the return of some of my money, she said I was under their guarantee. And at least I wouldn't be charged when someone came out again!!!! Really? That's rich.
So now I will continue to have a wet basement because of a " new" problem. I spent $1700.00 of my very hard earned money on the "original" problem. I'm not sure why the guarantee doesn't include this other problem (which was in plain sight when Tom came out), but what I do know is I will not be spending another sum of money to fix this problem. There might be several "other" problems the next time someone comes out. In my opinion, High and Dry is disreputable. Fool me once...
Carol LevittOfficial response from representative 07.10.2019 15:07On June 10, 2019 Carol called the office to schedule an estimate. She told us she had horizontal/diagonal cracks in an unfinished area that were leaking. She mentioned she has had mudjacking and a bowing wall, etc., already repaired by another company. She only wants the cracks injected. On June 25th, Tom met with Carol and she showed him the areas to repair. Tom gave a bid on the cracks she requested saying they were leaking, and also for building up two exterior beam pockets that have po… -
Great job !!! I was under time constraints due to a pending home sale. High and Dry even during this really rainy season were able to come to my home to inspect the foundation cracks, make recommendations and provide an cost estimate within 3 days. They then were able to execute the injection sealing one week later. I couldn't ask for more. Work was high quality. Service was super good. Provided excellent warranty of sealed cracks. These are you go to guys for foundation repair work.

Requested exterior drainage work to carry water away from my foundation. They showed up but suggested an alteration to the plan which I was a little dubious about. But I thought they probably know better than I.This required them to come back out a second time and when that date appeared they said they couldn't do the work (which was scheduled in the early afternoon) due to rain, which isn't according to the forecast, supposed to come until later in the evening. I don't think they wanted to do this job !!!!!
Official response from representative 01.11.2018 20:56Greg, I'm sorry you feel that way. We were only trying to make this project smoother for you. Since it was an exterior job, no one needed to be at the house. Because we were digging in the yard, our concern was if it rained it would make it more messy. Our office sent you a text at 8:37, asking if it would be ok if we started in the morning. At 8:52 you replied by text saying "Im sorry Jessica that just won't work for me at all. Why don't we just cancel the job and if I need to rebook i… -
High & Dry is the best company to complete your foundation work. I needed strapping completed on my home due to a wall beginning to lean in. I got estimates from many different companies, including High & Dry. All of the estimates were over $10,000 (one being $15,000!!!!) - except High & Dry. Their estimate was less than half the cost of the others AND they provided a life time transferrable warranty!!!
Now that we are selling the house, that transferrable warranty comes in very handy! Naturally, buyers have concerns about the straps and the foundation soundness. I have referred them to High & Dry and they have been treated with respect and kindness and the company answered all of their questions! Additionally, I reached out to High & Dry to ask for some detail around the strapping and foundations in general in the state of Missouri. Not only did they stop what they were doing and write a detailed letter for potential buyers, they did it during probably the highest volume time they have ever experienced with the heavy rains occurring in St. Louis recently.
I cannot thank this company and Tom Ely enough for all they have done. They have gone so far above and beyond their original responsibilities that I will never use anyone else if I (God forbid) have any issues in the future. They are a tremendous company built on respect and integrity.
Thank you High & Dry!!! -
High and Dry Foundation Repair came out to my house and gave us a free quote for our basement water problem. Hydrostatic pressure as well as foundation wall cracks was our issue. Tom was very responsive and knowledgeable to our questions. He was also very personable and willing to work with our situation. He was flexible and able to adjust for some unforeseen circumstances, which we were very greatful for. His crew did quality work, we are happy with their installation.

Awesome service!!
The basement in my new home had a crack that seeped water whenever we had heavy rain. My realtor recommended the High and Dry foundation for the repair. I called to have someone come out to my home to give me an estimate before I commit. The owner came out and explained what he would do to fix the problem and looked around for other possible damages in my basement. I was very satisfied with his estimate and decided to go with him. A few days later, a technician came out and filled the crack. Since the repair, like they promised, it has been dry no matter how much rain we get. They also sent me a lifetime warranty certificate to guarantee the integrity of the repair. Very happy with their service.
