Tree reviews in Independence, Missouri

Shier’s Family Tree Care did a fantastic job. The trees look great…..all the trees were trimmed appropriately with consideration given to each type and location of the tree. They also did a wonderful job cleaning up all the debris!

Knowledgeable when quoting trimming of three large trees on my property. Professional crew and equipment, thorough, did what they said they’d do at a reasonable price. Would definitely recommend Shier’s Tree Service.

I called several (3) tree trimming services to get estimates for the work I wanted to have addressed and only one showed up; that was Shier's Family Tree Care Service, LLC. Their bid was reasonable and I hired them on the spot. They were on schedule with doing the job task. I think they did a professional job, they cleaned up afterwards, and I am happy with the results. They did some tree trimming and one tree removal, stump removal as well.
Note: the earlier post had a typo in it, they did not do a free removal - they did a tree removal!

I have had their crews out four times over the past few times and each time has been a great experience. Ruby does a great job on estimating and explaining the work to be done and the crew that comes to do the work is efficient and conscientious about what they are doing. I have recommended them to at least four friends for work in their yards and all have been pleased with the service and work done.

Praises to the creator for allowing me the pleasure of meeting Alex😇from Shiers Family Tree Care Services. Thank you so much for the excellent removal service you provided. You and your crews professional attention to detail in protecting my property was outstanding. After receiving numerous bids that I could not afford, you saved me greatly🙏🏽 I want to sincerely thank you for your generosity… such a lovely family, I even had the pleasure of meeting and sharing a cup of coffee with the dad! I can’t say enough about all the love and kindness you and your family showed today. I recommend Shiers Family Tree Care Services to anyone in need ❤️

Hire them NOW! My neighbors were getting tree work done so I reached out for a quote. Ruby, their sales representative, contacted me immediately and came out the same day to get me a VERY FAIR quote. The work the WHOLE team did was amazing! It was amazing to see Alex, the owner, CLIMB A TREE from start to finish! Every time I would check the progress, it amazed me how FAST it was all happening! Alex & the whole team were FANTASTIC! They cleaned up EVERYTHING like it was never there!! I took pictures and can’t wait to post them! If anyone needs a tree trimmed, pruned, or removed, HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!

The crew did a great job! Removed 5 Bradfords and trimmed 2 others, and finished the job, including cleanup, in under 3 hours. Crew leaders communicated well and discussed the work plan with me. Thanks to Ruby Shier for a very reasonable quote and for working with me on the schedule.

Shier’s did an Amazing job on the trees and bushes at my house! My house no longer looks like it’s straight out of the 70’s! Thank you so much!!

We recently had two large trees removed from our backyard and I can’t say enough great things about this company, the family that owns it & their employees. Very reasonable pricing, they did an excellent job, & cleaned up everything before they left. So thankful I haven’t had to worry about broken limbs hitting our house or our neighbors homes. I would highly recommend them!

We had a great experience with this company. They came out and gave us a great quote for two cherry trees removal and grinding down the remaining stump within an acceptable time frame. We were flexible in scheduling and they were able to come out for the job sooner than expected. They were very careful working around existing plants and shrubs and cleaned up the area upon completion. We would definitely use them again in the future and would highly recommend them to others.

These guys are great. Professional, friendly and efficient. They trimmed and pruned a 50-year-old oak tree in less than two hours, including cleanup. I've used them before and I'll call them again when the time comes. Highly recommend Shier Family Tree Care.

We had Shier's Family Tree Care do work on our trees and were so happy we had them do work on our brother's trees. It was amazing the work they do! Wonderful to work with!!! Will definitely use in the future!

Very pleased with Shiers from initial consultation with Jason to completion of work. I was especially impressed with the cleanup. The crew left my yard, driveway, and curb looking better than it did when they arrived. Would definitely recommend.

We hired Shier's to prune our trees. The goal was to keep them healthy and they did an excellent job. They planned the work later in the year keeping the care of my trees as priority. They left my property clean and our trees look much better. I'd highly recommend them to anyone needing tree service. We'll definitely use them again in the future.

I hired Shier's to remove a diseased elm and to trim a silver maple. My appointment was for January 12th, but they had a cancellation and came today, January 9th. It was a big job, with a narrow alley to drop the trees. There was 8 guys, and they finished in 2 hours. They were all very professional. Their customer service is off the charts! I highly recommend Shier's Family Tree Care!

They had to reschedule several times - why I deducted one star. Once here they did the work we contracted for - removing lower limbs from 2 large trees, cutting down 3 medium sized trees and trimming 2 small trees. They did a good job, worked safely and were knowledgeable about tree health. They have excellent and experienced tree climbers, mechanical equipment for efficiency and a wonderful clean up crew. I will have them back.

From our estimator Jacob, to owner Alex and the crew that performed the work, we couldn’t be happier in our choice. So happy in fact, they’ll be coming back soon for some more work we just contracted with them. Would gladly and enthusiastically recommend them to anyone needing tree services performed in a professional and friendly manner.

Thanks again,
Bob and Traci Gercone

Very pleased with our whole experience with Shier's. Communication was top notch. We really appreciated this. Everyone super friendly and our tree removal went as planned. We would highly recommend. We had two large trees removed from our backyard and the stumps ground as well.

Shier’s was great. I had 3 other bids from local companies that discussed pruning all my giant pin oaks & sycamore essentially the same way. The other companies were several thousands higher. Shier’s was great on educating me about my trees, communication was thorough (both written & verbal), they arrived on time & crew was courteous and quick. Will be using them again and would highly recommend to anyone.

Excellent job! We could tell these were true professionals, they had the right equipment and worked together like a fine oiled machine. It actually was exciting to watch!
Thanks Alex for such a great job. Highly recommend them!

We had 2 silver maple trees removed both 40+ years old. The entire crew was very professional, they had a mission and they accomplished it in a timely manner. Our particular job was split up into a few days. Every day they showed up on time and cleaned up at the end of every day. Overall wonderful experience.
