The time, quality, and care taken to rejuvenate our garden was exactly what we requested. The value for this project was hands down the best decision and to have native plants was key. He also took care of our concerns with planting in the back with dogs, so we wanted to make sure those plants were nontoxic to dogs.

Kris is amazing! Our yard is now one of the prettiest in the neighborhood. He is so friendly and great to work and his pricing is better than many of the other companies we talked to. 1000% recommend!!!

I initially contacted Joanna from Evolving Landscapes after receiving a referral through my neighbor association. I reached out a year before I was ready to have a major job completed. What Joanna provided was transparency, guidance, and warmth.
Since that original project was completed, I have subsequently had more work done. When Kris has made his visits to the property to discuss the scope of the projects, I felt like I was visiting with an old friend. It is very easy and assuring to work with Evolving Landscapes. My questions have never gone unanswered, and I was never made to feel uninformed by asking. The quality of the work continues to be noticed by those in the neighborhood, and I feel proud that the work has added value to my community. I would definitely recommend, and I plan to use Evolving Landscapes again.

Evolving Landscapes is a GREAT company. They do amazing design work, are professional and knowledgeable and the quality of work is unsurprised

I could not be happier than I am with the work done by Kris and his team. My yard was completely destroyed by construction of an inground pool, but Kris came in and provided a vision of landscaping around the new pool that completely blew me away. Kris is friendly, creative, knowledgeable, collaborative and the easiest person to work with hands down. He really wants to ensure that his customers are happy with the work that he is doing. He is also efficient, he and his team completely transformed my back yard from a construction zone to an oasis, working through thunderstorms and hail, in two days. Others may think they have a good team, Kris has the best. A pleasure to work with for sure.

Phenomenal work!! Derek works alone and he is extremely hard working. He gets the job done at the best cost and it's quality work. I would definitely recommend him!!!

Kris with Evolving Landscapes is truly the best landscape company I have ever used. We have been working with them for several years now and they never disappoint. Our project is pretty big with tons of pots and landscaping around our pool. Any project I give them they complete it just as I envisioned. High quality results, very fair pricing and they are quick and efficient. I can't say enough good things about this company. I have referred them to many neighbors!!

I couldn't be happier with my experience with Evolving Landscape. Very professional and communicative throughout the whole process. The final product, which was a new retaining wall in my front yard, exceeded my expectations. I was on their schedule for the hottest week of the summer, and they persisted and didn't cut any corners. Thanks to Kris and his team for the wonderful experience. Highly recommend!

We called Kris Carrell, owner of Evolving Landscapes 816-694-5534. It's their busy season but they managed to squeeze us in quickly to do a bunch of spring yard cleanup including hauling of tree debris, edging beds, adding mulch, and cutting back last year's dead stalks. They did an amazing job very quickly. Couldn't be more impressed! Would definitely recommend!

Evolving did a renovation of front yard foundation plantings. They built a new masonry retaining wall, planted new shrubs, put down landscape gravel, reinstalled landscape border that was being forced out of ground by the weather. They did a beautiful job, came in right on bid price, completed project as projected. Evolving is a very professional, personable and creative company to work with. I recommend them to anyone wanting an outstanding completed project.

Wonderful work by Evolving Landscapes! Very obvious that Kris and his team handled their work with care and a sense of pride. Couldn't be happier to have gone with them. Highly recommended!

Evolving Landscapes work hard to assure customer satisfaction. They design very attractive landscaping, working with customers on choices. They show up on time and work diligently to get the work done efficiently and effectively. We would recommend Evolving Landscapes to anyone who wants to make their yard more attractive at reasonable prices. They have designed our front and side yards and also done work in the back yard - we are very pleased with all the results.

In April of 2019 I contacted Evolving Landscapes about replacing some sod that had been damaged during some foundation work I had done. Kris the owner came to my house almost immediately (I later learned he only lives about 10 minutes from me). He later emailed me a quote for replacing the sod and re-doing some landscape beds.. I told him to go ahead but that it needed to be done by July because I was scheduled for open-heart surgery in August. He agreed at the time and said it would not be a problem. He kept delaying when he could start and then wanted to wait until fall of 2019. When I told him that would not work he said he would schedule me for May of 2020. In the spring of 2020 he emailed me that he was going to delay starting to work for several months because of Covid19. He also stated that again would not be able to do my project until the fall of 2020 and I might want to find another landscape company. That is exactly what I did the first of May 2020, Another landscaper suggested we should visit some nurseries and look at the available plants., While visiting Suburban Lawn & Garden I was totally dumb founded to see Kris with Evolving Landscapes with a pickup load of plants. I don't know why this man chose to lie to me but I have decided to let others know how this man does business. I have the emails to prove this in case he chooses to deny it !!!!!!!!

Quality landscaping in our front yard. Our front landscaping was "tired" and lacked curb appeal. Duffy designed an appealing layout and the end result is a huge improvement. His attention to detail is great. The photos speak for themselves. Note the before picture for comparison. Thanks Duffy, Great Work!!

Evolving Landscapes did a great job on our yard. My husband can no longer work in the yard so it was very overgrown and in need of much repair. Kris was so nice
And professional with us. He kept
In contact as our appointments and needs were considered. There was no pressure to add more than we needed which we had seen in a few other companies. His staff and crew were professional and helpful and Kris was out there working right with his guys. We had to respect an owner of the company being on the job. We had to wait for our job but it was well worth the wait!

Kris and his crew did a great job putting down mulch around our trees and flower beds. We would recommend Evolving to anyone wanting quality landscaping done. We wouldn't hesitate to hire them again for future landscaping projects.

I couldn't be happier with Kris and his crew. He is professional, polite, responsible and on time. He does great work, responds quickly to emails and questions, and my yard looks awesome! He's done two pretty big projects for us and I have currently contracted with him for a third smaller one. The plants he selects are of good quality. I recommend him wholeheartedly!

I have gradually started to garden more towards perennials and bushes to decrease the amount of planting I do. I had a large area and the mulch got everywhere.
Kris and his team put natural stone all along my garden areas, trimmed some bushes, and put in some edging. It looks great!

They were courteous and professional. He even didn't seem to mind my little pestering doodle too much! lol

Would definitely hire again!

Kris and his team did a great job! After a couple of bids, I hired Evolving Landscapes to come out and work on a courtyard area that included extensive cleanout of an overgrown mess along with concrete removal, drainage, and arbor installation. Kris provided me with an initial design and after a review, I decided to go with a "secret garden" type landscape. Kris did a great job revising the plan, working with my ideas and providing suggestions. The completed project turned out beautifully, was completed on time and within a very reasonable price. It's been a year and I can wait to see what the area looks like as it continues to grow.

Because the initial project went so well, we brought Evolving Landscaped back to do a larger scale project in our backyard around to the front of the yard. This included landscape design and installation, the building of a small pergola to be used for a hammock and movie projection screen and a drip irrigation system. The team did a fantastic job. I have a couple of smaller projects remaining that I will bring them back for again in addition to ongoing maintenance.

Bottom line, I have hired many contractors over the years and Kris and his team at Evolving Landscapes are some of the most professional I have worked with. I recommend them without hesitation!

Very responsible, dependable, and hard-working! The crew did a terrific job of cutting down trees and shrubs and generally cleaning up a large, very overgrown yard. Kris is not only a nice guy, but good at communicating and taking the time to learn what needs to be done and making suggestions. Will definitely hire again.

Terrible service. After costing 7000.00 plus there was so little done. It was definitely not worth the money. Several plants died and to get to owner to return is impossible. No one on the crew could speak English which made it very awkward. When you would ask someone a question to the employees they would just look at you and nod their heads. I would NEVER EVER recommend this company to anyone, you do not get what you paid for. I had to replace several dead plants myself.
