Jacob is pleasant and professional. He showed up at the scheduled time and completed the scheduled work in a reasonable amount of time. I would highly recommend Jacob and McClure Electrical Service.

I hired Jacob on several occasions to install new circuits for specialty machinery for my business. He has always been very clear in communication, professional during service, and a fair price for specialty service. Throughout all the challenges of a big project, Jacob was persistent and always on time, and a highlight of the experience. He does great work, and I recommend his services highly!

Jacob is the Best! Prompt, courteous, and knowledgeable. Hooked up my air compressor in no time and the price was very reasonable. I will be using him for all my electrical needs!

We had a ceiling fan removed and new installed. We received a call back upon leaving a message within a few hours and Jacob was out to install within 2 days! Very quick installation, professional and excellent work! Highly recommend!

The electrician that came to look at the work we needed to be done which included replacing an LED fixture in the kitchen and a ceiling fan in the bedroom. They were able to get to the house asap, super flexible, and were extremely professional.

They quoted $400 to replace the light fixture. I found another contractor through Lowe’s to do it for $135. The quote to replace the ceiling fan was $640. I haven’t gotten another quote for that one yet, but it seems really high.

I didn’t end up going with these guys but other than the pricing they were very nice to work with. I recommend if you need work done asap and less price sensitive than I am.

Although the fitting of the new socket (silver) is done satisfactorily, I'm jus perplexed as to why he didn't match it with the existing one (white)? Tony also turned up half an hour late and my husband had to go out on business as he'd agreed to pick up some books leaving Tony to finish the job! Again I just can't understand why he fitted a silver socket when the other one is clearly in view right next to the doorway!

Overall they’ve done quite a bit of work for me. They know what they are doing, but tough to get my list done without them rushing out, they ALWAYS leave at least some trash around, they rarely label changes in the electrical box, and on the last visit they hooked up a line they previously wired but did not validate it worked. Now they won’t even respond to me so I can try to figure out what was done. This was noticed after they rushed out leaving half my list incomplete…even though my appointment was pushed back so they would have time to complete my whole list. But as usual, just wanted to get out. Jacob claimed he didn’t have what he needed to finish, but again, the work was completely defined multiple times via email, they either just didn’t pay attention or didn’t want to do it. Whatever the reason, my time clearly isn’t valuable to them. They said they would come back another day to finish, but I declined.

TLDR: Would never recommend McClure. Awful communication, no accountability, no “making things right” for their own mistakes.

    Background and scenario:
I’m not sure what happened to this company, but we had McClure put three parking lot lights up at our church. Original install went okay in terms of timeliness, but they did not put rebar in the concrete bases. Just over a year after install was completed, a concrete base snapped in half completely causing the light to fall and become damaged. No ownership, no accountability, and no apologies from McClure. To top it off (trying to maintain support of local family owned businesses), they want us to pay another $2200 for them to fix their own mistake.

Putting all of this aside, it has been close to five months since they agreed to look at this, provide a quote, and complete “ASAP.”

Kayla McClure (owner) has had an excuse every time I ask for a status update. I have had to ask for updates over five times, and still nothing has been completed. I take that back, they put new concrete in, but didn’t position the bolts appropriately…so it has to be redone…again.

This was upwards of a $16,000+ job. Close to $20k including the repairs we need to have done.
