About the business:

Sugar Creek Gardens began with a stall at the Kirkwood Farmer's Market in 1990. We sold seedlings we had started in our basements and divisions from our gardens. The following year Sugar Creek opened up a nursery in Brentwood, Missouri. In 1993 the current Kirkwood location was purchased. We still grow many of the plants at the nursery, starting them from seed, divisions and cuttings. We love all plants and want to try them all...we're proud to be called plant nerds.

Over the years we have been received multiple recognitions as a top nursery and garden center, including being voted the #1 Best Garden Center. We currently grow and sell over 2,000 varieties of plants.
