Solar Energy Company reviews in Springfield, Missouri

Scott you need to call Shane please.
Don’t use this company they flat out lied to us!! Worst mistake we ever made getting solar, now our bill is still high and we’re stuck with it! Do your homework and get everything in writing because they will tell you one thing to get it sold then they will under estimate your usage so you have to spend more money to upgrade! I’m over this place! So mad we got lied too!!!!!! -
Recently had this company installed a system, however the “enphase system” they installed doesn’t allow you to monitor usage without 2 additional CT’s that cost $48, you can only see production on there online app. I reached out to the company and was told it’s an additional $1500 to install. Not at all happy with this monitoring system and the price. Make sure to ask for these CT’s before buying solar. Puzzled these are not standard in every installation.
UPDATE
Owner reached out and after our talk I realized I was a bit hard in my review. I live 5 hrs from the company, which explains the high cost for installing the CT’s. He told me if I get a certified installer to install the CT’s he will take care of the warranty. So after some digging I found a installer recommended by enphase who will install for $200. None the less even if you’re not getting the package with the battery it’s worth getting those CT’s to see usage or consumption data. I gave this company 5 stars based off the fact that they did do a great job on the install and it wasn’t there fault for not including the CT’S. -
The customer service staff was really nice and helpful with any questions I had. The instalation crew did a great job and passed inspection first try. The only very minor complaint I have is the salesman could of done a better job on explaining how the process works

This company lied to me so bad, I now know it started way back in the beginning
Was working with one salesman. I asked so many questions, I told him I couldn’t read their emails he sent as it was too small so he mailed info us mail
I still had trouble reading it as my eyes are not good at all. So I asked many questions anc when you talk to them your always told your on a recorded line but I’m sure they won’t find the recordings with all my questions but I asked many times since my health is failing how this would work with the solar if I wanted or needed to sell was told the new buyer would just have to assume the loan. What they don’t tell you is they immediately put a lien on your property and no bank will loan money with a lien on it
I invested all I had on this small farm 33 acres and got it paid off but now since I was seeking more reasonsonable utilities they now have a lien and I’m stuck here I poor physical health and can’t afford to leave my property where I can be closer to Drs and hospitals
Would I recommend this company. NO because they refuse to tell you everything upfront -
Signed a contract in Aug 2022. NEVER RECEIVED OUR GENERATOR! We have tried multiple times to get someone to talk to us about it but they refuse to return calls. The solar is in and working but we also paid for a generator to be installed. Everytime I call I’m told managers are in a meeting or The person that handles the generator order isn’t in today. This has been going on since December. Once the solar was in. ALL CONTACT FROM THE COMPANY ENDED. That Solar Company has received full payment for the solar and generator. We are making payments for equipment that Never got delivered.

From the time we began the discussion of putting solar onto our roof until we were producing electricity for the house, the people at That Solar have been great. The installation crew were very nice, cleaned up their debris, and handled a couple of weird issues very professionally. All in all, we are very pleased with the outcome, including That Solar's interactions with our HOA. A very good experience.

That solar company has been very professional in all of my dealings with them. They are very knowledgeable when it comes to every step of the process. They were patient and explained exactly what to expect and when to expect it. They took the stress out of getting the project completed thanks for all the hard work.

They lied to me about how many panels I was supposed to get they said they give me more wattage panels and that’s why I got less panels. Now I need warranty work done on the panels and I had to wait on a part to come in now I’m having to wait longer for them to even show up to install part So my panels have been down for three months and they said it could be two or three more weeks my bad it is not all panels it’s just one and how much is that costing me that I not working

That solar company is incredible to do business with. It’s refreshing to see a company value their customers. They make the whole process of getting solar panels super easy. They arrange everything and communicate each step the whole way. The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable! I 10/10 recommend this company.

That Solar Company was excellent. From the planning to the install to getting it turned on, I felt they were with me every step of the way. The team was very professional but also heard all of my concerns and answered all of my questions. Highly recommend for anyone looking to go solar!

Incredible service before and after the sale, would highly recommend for all Solar projects

Incompetence during installation took months of us having to chase them down to get our equipment installed. After finally finishing installation, they connected our 2 way reader incorrectly, so BPU wasn't receiving accurate readings of our energy output for months. In addition to this, they sold us more panels than our energy bill ever cost us, and have been useless in any resolution of this since they already got their money. I would not reccomend them. I would also REALLY recommend to do your own research about what your energy needs are and don't trust a single solar company about what they think you should have.

I had a sales rep come to my house and estimate what I needed to get in February of 2022. She was very pleasant and very informative. I bought 14 solar panels and attic insulation. March of 2022 the attic was insulated. June of 2022 my solar panels were installed. It is now February of 2023 and my solar panels are still not active. I need my electric meter to be swapped to accommodate my new solar panels. When I contacted the company several times, no one could give me an answer as to when it would be done. They only kept saying it was on backorder. After threatening them with a lawyer, I was told that they would not answer anymore of my phone calls and. That the project was estimated to take another 56 WEEKS! DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY OR THEIR SALES COMPANY "DESIGN ONE GROUP"

Stopped by That Solar Company LLC hoping to resolve an issue, but was asked to leave the office. Their customer service is nonexistent. It’s a shame to see a local business, which employs local people, operate this poorly. I can’t recommend them.

I've had my solar panels up since the heat of the summer. They are not in use because it's not been able to pass inspection since day one. I can't get them to answer the phone or to return my calls. It is now the 8th day of January. I call repeatedly no answer, and they do not return my phone calls

WE ahve not been able to see our solar production for 7 months now and no one will call us back or come out and fix the issue. Solar way under performs what we were told it would produce by sales rep and we still pay a $100 or more depending on the season. Really look around and get a lot different pricing on solar. Also do not do it just for tax incentives because you could potentially buy panels and pay someone to install it for 10th of the cost. Which would be more valuable then tax incentives.

While I can say things have been a little rocky during the install and operation of my system, it wasn't because of the install crew. I bought an old hunting lodge in the middle of nowhere and have an ageing electrical system. Scott, who sold me the system, has been nothing but absolutely helpful, even when the problem wasn't caused by the company. On the 4th of July, I lost power, my main breaker on the pole had been overloading for the past couple of weeks and no one was able to figure out why. On the 4th, the power went out, and Scott was the only one I was able to get ahold of, not even an emergency electrical service would answer the phone, but he did. He helped me get my power back on, and shut off the solar, so any power surge didn't ruin my system. As the owner of E4M Gunsmithing & Restorations LLC, I work out of my house, and they have done everything to ensure that everything was working in the system they installed, and then went above and beyond to help me diagnose my electrical problems. When I get my shop built, I am calling them again. When my kids get their own houses, I am calling them again. I will only use That Solar Company for my solar needs from this point on. The crews they send out are only hired contractors and should not necessarily represent the company, the rep themselves. Oh, and I can not forget Mrs. Hutchins, she has been amazing at keep up with and responding to my emails quickly and kindly as possible. You couldn't ask for a better company rep. If she doesn't have the answer on hand, she will find you the right one. Thank you so much.

We started this process the beginning of March '23, The first contact with the company once we got through the sales process was with Hailee on 3/6/23. She was and continues to be great and is always willing to answer questions. She kept us fully informed along the way. I was surprised that the initial contact said it could take 4-6 months for the process but stuck with it. Well we didn't have to wait that long. The system was designed, approved, and running by 4/17/23. I want to also give a huge shout out to my installers: Shane O Neil, Thomas Stubblefield and Kelton McLanahan with Quest Solar. They had the system installed and verified in one day. We had one inverter that wasnt reporting properly after the system was actually switch on and I called in. I was really suprised the following day while awaiting a call back to discuss the issue when Andrew rings my doorbell to check on the system and discuss any other concerns I had. Mind you we are over 6 hrs from That Solar Company. We haven't had another issue since then. The first full month bill 5/2-6/1/23 was $13.32. Same time last year was $178.72 before Evergy prices increased yet again. We are extremely happy with the experience and would recommend this company to anyone looking at installing Solar.

That Solar Company has been an excellent partner from start to finish on our solar project. We installed 25 panels for a 10kW capacity system. That Solar Company's bid design was the most well-thought out and best price. Hailee's communication through the project phases was excellent. Surveying, design and permitting takes time, but we always knew where we were at and all HOA, City and Ameren permits were granted on first attempt. Installation was quick and flawless... the system already survived a couple of storms that took down trees in the area. Today, on the third day of operation, we have blue skies and an excellent output baseline. 100% successful project. Thanks again to everyone at That Solar Company!
Update February 2024: we are still beyond happy with our photovoltaic system. I want to shout out Hailee for her super fast support! I casually emailed her what to do for tax season, and she came through with a copy of the contract, tax form, and instructions right away. Thanks so much for the continued support! -
Well it took about a 6 months to get the solar panels but when they were installed they did a great job. But im really impressed with Joshua Buntin and his electrical crew they did a great job, everything looked straight and professional. Great job to both crew job well done. But I gave 4 stars due to how long it took to get batteries and how the salesmen wasn't fully honest about things. Just a heads up and it might be different in your area but you do not get dollar for dollar back from electric company. It's like .007 cents on the dollar here. Something to think about when installing but it's all installed looks great and hopefully the saving start to come in.

We bought a very large system from this company, and they took forever to install. We bought it in November of 2022, and it was finally installed in May of 2023 after several fiascos where they failed to have the panels delivered even though the workers showed up, and the electric company wasn't scheduled and everyone had to go home (to name a few). They refused to acknowledge their mistakes and constantly lied about it. Then during our first month of service, we had 20 micro converters go out. And do you think we got them fixed right away? No, we're still waiting 2 weeks later. They haven't volunteered to expedite or compensate us. We're just on a list somewhere.
