Top not customer service. Called in Friday morning hoping to get service early after July fourth. As fate would have it Joe and his crew were in the area. Called at 11am job done cleaned up and hauled away by 2:30pm. . very professional personable and priced fair. Thanks Joe. Will definitely recommend to others.

Joe trimmed 7 big trees and left the yard cleaner than when he got here. He definitely gave us our money's worth. We've used two others before Joe, and he's been the best.
-
We would highly recommend Joe for any tree work you may have. He did a great job for us by removing limbs around our power lines and a dead tree also located next the power lines. Thanks Joe for a job well done!!

Courteous, came over right away for the estimate, very reasonable pricing. When they came to the work they were efficient and left my front yard in excellent condition. Would use again and highly recommend Joe's!

Joe and his team were great. We had a cat 30+ feet up in a tree for three days and would not come down. Joe took our job when others wouldn’t and they were able to quickly and safely get her back to the family. Thanks Joe!

First, let me say I would not take the time to write this review if I did not feel Joe's Tree Service is so blatantly in the wrong, and so unaccommodating about resolving the issue. I believe in supporting our communities by patronizing small businesses and I am so disappointed that I had this experience. I encourage any reader of this review to take heed of the fact that, as of the date of this writing, the ability to write reviews on Facebook is not available for this company, and ask yourself why a company would do that. In the event the business owner responds to this review saying that I was not a customer, I acknowledge my Google screen name is different than my real name and the services addressed in this review were rendered 3/16-3/17/18 at my home in Springfield, MO.

I paid Joe's Tree Service my entire tax refund, and then some, to remove a large tree from the backyard. Sometime during the removal, our next door neighbor spoke to Joe outside, indicating they would take some of the wood, so Joe understood that to mean he could ditch pretty much the entire tree, except for the small branches, in the neighbor's front yard. There are huge chunks of the tree trunk that one person couldn't even lift by themselves.
I was able to speak to my neighbor two days after Joe's Tree Service dumped the tree in their yard. I asked the neighbor if he intended for the tree service to leave all that wood on his front lawn, he said no, they just wanted a little bit for burning in their backyard fire pit. (I acknowledge that I was not a party to this conversation and concede that it's quite possible the neighbor did not convey his wishes effectively.) So I let Joe know there had been a misunderstanding somehow and the neighbor didn't have a way to saw, split or haul all that wood, and I told him we would really appreciate it if he could come get it and do with it whatever they normally do with trees they remove.
And first Joe tried to tell me he would only come get the wood if the neighbor pays him! Then he backed off that and said he *may* be able to tell the neighbor how to get rid of it, but the neighbor has to call him himself. Until somebody deals with this eyesore, me and all my neighbors get to look at it every time we look outside. And I had to pay a pile of money for the honor of being ticked off every time I look outside. Which ticks me off even more.
Joe contends once a tree has been removed from a property then it's completely acceptable for him to leave the tree anyplace he can find to do so... even if it means the tree is left laying in a yard 30 feet from the front door of the person who payed to have them remove it. Regardless, when it was brought to his attention that there was a misunderstanding between himself and my neighbor, an honorable business person would have made it right for the person who was their paying customer. He just saw an opportunity to dump the tree and take the money and run.
This situation has been a nightmare to deal with and so I encourage anyone to find somebody else if you need tree work done!!! Joe may bid under other estimates, but as the old adage goes, "you get what you pay for." There are plenty of other honorable tree services in Springfield to choose from. -
I had attempted to cut down a tree on my own but the weight of the tree was going to pull it into the neighbors power lines. There's a storm coming this evening and I knew it wasn't safe to leave it like it was. So I called Joe for emergency tree removal on a Sunday and came out same day. He had it down safely within about 10 minutes of arriving. He charged an extremely fair price especially considering the fact it was a Sunday and emergency.

We had a very positive experience using Joe's Tree Service. They did EVERYTHING they told us they would do...from showing up on time for the bid to completing the job. They successfully removed a GIANT tree that was over 100 years old and very close to our home. We will definitely be using them again as well as recommending them to our friends and family.

I needed some tree limbs cut back off a power line and Joe's Tree Service did a great job for me. They were prompt, friendly, and did and good job and cleaned up well afterwards. I would definitely use them again and recommend them.

Strong storm winds blew our tree into our neighbor's home. Joe's Tree Service already had someone in the area and he was here very quickly. Within a few hours he had completely cleared the debris. Excellent work!

I have been working with Joe for years. He does very good work for a reasonable price. Highly recommend 10/10

Joe was amazing. We had a neighbor’s tree fall in in our yard on a Sunday night. Joe came out on Monday evening and had the tree removed by Tuesday afternoon. His prices are fair and his service was spot on! We could not recommend his services more.

Worked with Chad in north Springfield. Very pleasant, professional and assured he understood my expectations of trimming limbs encroaching on my property (one large hedge tree in particular) from the overgrown empty lot next door. He went above and beyond cutting back the limbs and brush assuring my home was not struck.
The response was prompt (worked on a Saturday) and very reasonably priced.
I'll do the ground work (clean up) but he offered to return if it becomes too much for me and I'm sure the price will be just as reasonable.
I suggest you obtain a bid from Joe's Tree Service on any job you have. -
Joe's tree service is the company to use. Communication was very good from the first phone call to end of service conversation. We had a stump removed and the cost was very reasonable. The work was performed quickly and professionally with nice equipment. I feel Joe's is a good honest local company that I would not hesitate to recommend and use again. Dont mess with all the others who wont answer their phones, return phone calls, and are out of business but still have phones and websites. Pick up the phone and end the frustration and move on with your life with Joe's! Well Done!

Fantastic work! After getting multiple quotes from different companies, Joe by far, was the most affordable. He was courteous and flexible as well as professional and did a great job. I will be calling back for all future work on my property!
Update 4/16/17
Called back and got the same great service as the first time. I had a large sweet gum tree removed and some trimming around the property and could not be happier. I highly recommend Joe. -
I never personally used him for tree services but it's Saturday night at 6:00 and he answered the phone very polite guy! there's a cat stuck in the tree that my dogs ran up there whenever I let him outside and I feel terrible but he was super nice and basically willing to help told me just to wait it out and see if it came down and if it's not down by in the morning to call him back but I was just super impressed that he actually answered the phone on a Saturday evening and was willing to help that was super cool so I definitely give him five stars and if I ever need tree service I'll definitely be using him

Wonderful a job on snow removal. Were worried about gouging into our gravel driveway but they did a great job. Sidewalks were done while the driveway was being done. Our next door neighbors saw their work and had theirs done also. Very happy.

Joe rescued my cat stuck in the tree!
Joe and his crew were all incredibly helpful, polite, patient, and professional. They were able to come by on a Sunday and use one of their lifts to retrieve my cat from the top of a tree.
Through the entire process Joe was very understanding and more than fair. He even gave me a consultation on trimming my trees would benefit from in the future.
Here's a huge thank you to Joe and his team! -
Joe's Tree Service was a lifesaver! I needed a tree removed urgently after the ice storm, and he came out the same day I called. He was responsive, courteous, and clearly skilled at what he does. He handled the emergency tree removal with professionalism and efficiency, and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Joe's Tree Service in any emergency situation!
