No one wants to need HVAC! Especially in St Louis when it’s over 100 degrees. SmartHouse was awesome. They made it over quickly and provided a reasonable bid to do the work. They brought an individual cooling unit to use while I was being installed. They installed my new system and got everything working quickly and they clean up after themselves! The guys who did the work were thoughtful about the little things like my dogs and blocking the driveway.
It was not a situation anyone wants to be in - when you are I recommend SmartHouse

Very pleasant person who set me up with an appointment. Texted when the technician was on the way. Marcus was prompt , courteous and knowledgeable. He came to install a smart thermostat and in doing so,
identified a previously unknown issue and fixed it pronto. He also gave me information about A/ C systems that was extremely helpful as we will be needing one soon. Highly recommend SmartHouse Heating and Cooling.

Marc and his team are true professionals and Steven’s craftsmanship is incredible. We had some unique challenges in our older home and they took the time to develop a plan that made sense. We replaced two units with them and had both return and supply duct work done and our home is quieter and more comfortable than ever. Thanks guys!!

We used SmartHouse to replace our HVAC and had a great experience. They quickly scheduled a time to give us a quote, answered our questions, and did not try to upsell us. Had some good discounts we were able to take advantage of as well. The work was completed quickly and professionally. Will definitely be using again!

I am giving Ryan and the company this review because Ryan went above and beyond to repair my boiler issue. He was knowledgeable, concerned and very pleasant. He answered and gave input to my questions. I highly recommend this company and Ryan the technician to handle your heating & cooling needs.

SmartHouse Heating and Cooling is amazing. Starting with Marc the owner, he came out and was extremely knowledgeable and down to earth. He went the extra mile to explain the technology and equipment. The install team was very courteous and respectful. They were able to move quickly and efficiently to install a complex system. I am excited about my new system and can’t wait to take advantage of all the efficiencies. I can’t recommend SmartHouse Heating and Cooling enough.

Had ongoing issues with the heating and air unit, partly with cheap workarounds (substandard parts), and some due to a leaking vertical flue (also a cheap workaround). Ended up getting a new system. Started with the tech who tried to resolve the issue but due to the re-occuring problems (noted earlier), we had a consultation to assess our current set up. Turns out the system was not optimized for our home (unit was trying to pull in more air than what the house could handle), so a more appropriate system was recommended. Installation was completed in a day which also included a new horizontal flue. Techs Ryan and Jay were courteous and friendly. The home was left clean with nothing left from the old system. Ryan took the time to explain the new system, helped set up the app, and addressed any questions. Very satisfied with the work and looking forward to the working air!

Recently had heating and cooling installed by Smarthouse. We had a great experience from the initial consultation to the installation. Marc came to our home and spent time reviewing our current system and explained different options. Other companies that we considered didn't come close. We felt confident in using this business.

John was excellent. John responded promptly when I stated my concerns. To summarize John provided me with exemplary service.

The crew did an awesome job. They came out with four or five guys and worked tirelessly to install our new air conditioner and furnace. They also installed two smart thermostats and program them for us. In addition, they made two separate trips to optimize the smart, thermostats, free of charge.

Great company and I would give them my highest recommendation.

Marc was very knowledgeable about the heat pump system I wanted to be installed. The team went out of their way to make sure my wife understood the app and how to control the new system. They installed a properly sized return air duct and took their time making sure everything looked good as well as performed flawlessly. I highly recommend you give them a chance you won't be disappointed.

Amos was a very thorough technician. He was very personable, and took time to explain the the results of the furnace inspection. Appreciated him very much.

Great company. Dispatch fee is $120.00 ! They wont volunteer the info when you call them so just confirm. Doesn't matter if its a minor or major issue.

Everyone that I have ever talked to at SmarHouse has been very professional and personable. The techs not only know their craft but also are curious and professional. Matt, Ryan and Bob installed a new HVAC unit in our condo. It was a full-day effort and I was working from home. I had zero inconvenience and they cleaned up before they left. Super happy with the job and the service. I'd recommend them to everyone.

Stephen, Ryan and Matt did a masterful job of removing and installing my new HVAC. They took their time, no shortcuts and did everything to code and more. The system is working perfectly and we expect it to continue to do so for years to come. Thanks SmartHouse!

Jarius did an amazing job fixing our air conditioner. He also went above and beyond to explain what he found and what is going on. I appreciated him taking the time to discuss everything and made me feel more knowledgeable about my own a/c unit. He took his time, was professional and personable and did a great job. Would definitely recommend!!

Had to replace indoor and outdoor AC units. Great team all around, I interacted with multiple office workers, and three contractors, they were all fantastic! Ryan was efficient diagnosing my issues and a knowledgeable journeyman. Jay his apprentice got there early and was very pleasant to work with! The two of them finished the installation quite quickly and cleanly, the new units are working great and more efficient than my previous ones. The owner of the company, Mark, delivered the units himself, since their supplier couldn’t ship them within our extremely fast timeline. I called on a Sunday and was warned about the emergency surcharge, so I only officially asked for their services on Monday morning, and Tuesday at 3pm I already had my new unit installed, during a heat wave, and a very busy week for the company (when I went into their office the phones were ringing nonstop!).

Had an issue and called the after hours service and received a call back within a timely manner. Jay (tech) came out after he was supposed to be done for the night and was incredibly helpful in resolving the issue. He was quick and efficient and was explaining things that we can do to prevent similar issues going forward. Jay was fantastic and it’s clear this company puts a lot of focus on providing high quality customer service.

Decided to be proactive and replace my 24 year old central air conditioner before it quit during a heat wave. SmartHouse sent out Specialist Tim the same day I called. He answered all my questions, took measurements, fully explained my options and gave me quotes on 2 replacement models. We accepted one bid and were able to schedule the install for the very next day. Because our appointment filled the last opening in their installation schedule, Tim gave us a sizable discount. Ryan and his install crew arrived on time the next day, explained everything, completed the install and gave me another discount for paying with a check. It was a very easy, quick, and professional experience. Thanks to SmartHouse I now have piece of mind for many cooling seasons to come.

I had a good experience with my Old AC/heating system which was installed by Smart House. When my old AC did not work on May, 2025, I confidently chosen Smart House.
And after the installation, I conformed that I made a good decision.

From the initial quote to the install and even some diagnostics afterwards, every employee of this company was knowledgeable professional and kind. I don't doubt you could find a company to do work for you for cheaper but in this case I truly got what I paid for, their attention to detail was stellar. My new system is is quiet and comfortable.
