The only company that responded to our request for bids. The entire process was simple with work beginning as scheduled and finished as scheduled. It was quality workmanship by very polite workers that completed the job as promised.
We are very happy with the results and the performance of the equipment. I strongly recommend Citywide for anyone planning a security system.

This is one of the worst service businesses I've ever dealt with unprofessional they do not stand behind their work. They are not properly licensed to do high voltage security camera installed Buyer. Beware once I found out their install was not done properly. They want to charge 35 to 55% additional to the original price quoted to come out and fix it and not even fix it properly to what was discussed -unprofessional unethical and will never use again.

Haven't been able to use my system for months because they can't get it fixed, and customer service is appallingly bad. They put you on endless hold and then transfer you to people who relentlessly read from the script, thank you for providing information, feel your pain, yet are unable to do anything to solve a problem. Can't wait until my service contract is up so I can fire them.

sensors brake NR not repaired, communication poor, low availability, I'm sorry to say a textbook example of poor customer service

Great install and quick. The technician was veriy polite and professional. Help with the phone APP and made other suggestion with out the pushy approach that most carriers do. Switch over ADT which was a nightmare and costly.

placed a system on test for inspections, and they said that they would and an hour later fire department showed up.This is the worst company, even the monitoring lady on the phone was rude after I called back and hung up on me, do NOT use them

For a small businesses, I didn't have luck. Owner was simply rude to me on a simple 5 minute Q&A phone call. I decided to look elsewhere. Obvious to me, that He didn't have time to actually discuss services we would get; just wanted a signature.

you have to be a idiot or a fool to hire this company for anything.
they have a road rage driver who ran me off the road photo below.
called the company and it fell on deaf ears, judging by other reviews this bs company has a 1.7 star that alone should speak of their quality of a company . spoke to a diane dickson rep of their company. no response at all on follow up.

please do not use this company unless all you want is bs.

service is still bad and no help from this company when you call them for help. I have been waiting for two months for them to fix an issue on a brand new system.

Not only does the technology inconsistently "work"- and I say "work" loosely, but their unwillingness and inability to resolve the issues is even more frustrating. The equipment is faulty and every time we incur problems, they are quick to place blame on us as the customer, claim our WiFi is the root cause and only offer to send a technician at a full service charge.

The web based part of the system is incredibly non-user friendly, setting up basic recording or alert rules is overly complex and the video monitoring system is very manual. The mobile app status consistently does not match what is actually the status at our house and the cameras are constantly going offline.

The greatest pain point is dealing with their "customer service" person, Talía, who is condescending and highly unprofessional.

I would NEVER recommend this service to anyone.

It is because of the Yelp reviews that I contacted this company. They were visiting me less than 24 hours of my call, and will be installing tomorrow. In total, a 48 hour turnaround. I am most impressed. More to come after the install.

I had excellent experience with citywide alarms. They are friendly, professional, efficient, competitive and helpful.

I recently moved to St Louis and selected Citywide Alarms to install a new residential system. Adam presented options on the equipment based on how we expected to use the system. We are especially pleased with the integrated door locks and web/mobile application. It is so easy now to lock/unlock doors and arm/disarm the system to allow access to trusted workmen, or to just avoid having to juggle groceries while unlocking the door.

The installation was scheduled quickly and Citywide has continued to provide excellent support as we worked thru start up issues caused by poor internet coverage. I cannot say enough about the support when we call in. Taliah answers the phone and provides the kind of one-on-one, friendly, knowledgeable support that is almost unheard of these days.

    I highly recommend Citywide!

One star is one more than I should give. Horrible customer service. After 15+ years, wanted to change as they are charging 300+ for upgrade. They say year to year contract and I have to pay for the rest of the year. Never got an email from them.

    STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY.

Horrible customer service. I would give a zero if I could. Called in to set the alarm on test mode to perform some work. I was transferred between five different people who kept asking me to call in to a different phone number. I asked to speak to a supervisor and was put on hold for twenty minutes and then transferred back to the automated menu. Not sure why the customer service is so very poor. Definitely one of the worst business experiences for me.

Wow! I simply blown away. Just the fundamental differences alone between having a local family-owned security alarm company handle my home's security system versus all those DIY alarm systems...those aren't even in the same league regarding security.
~~Starting with Jim Fogal (the President's own Father); he came to my home and walked the perimeter of it with me to evaluate my risk points. Then, we sat at my dining room table and where he personalized a security plan specific to my home...meaning we discussed what was needed/what was not needed and then he put together the blue print that would be my home's security platform. Not once was there that annoying "pushy salesman" feeling. He left my home and felt excited in knowing that I was an integral part of my securing my own home.
From there--only from having firmed up my proposal on Friday--on Monday morning promptly at 10am, as scheduled, two very clean-cut, well-mannered, and very knowledgeable men arrived at my home to do the install.
Here's the thing; they weren't just "the install guys"...meaning, in my opinion, I felt like they were very well-versed in what I my specific alarm plan would be.
In other words, I didn't feel like they were left out of the loop by asking me questions about what was discussed and they were calling back over to the company to see what was discussed next.
Folks the Citywide Alarms company has this process of security homes figures out. It is streamlined to perfection, to make homes so intelligent without making you feel less intelligent.
It's super affordable and I slept great last night!
    Thanks Jim and Adam!!

    They are wonderful, installed whole
House cameras. They are very professional. Pricing was great and they are had a great turn around time for instillation.
    I would highly recommend them.

Business service left monitored for 2 YEARS but still billing us.

We had a power outage last night and this morning the interface had a trouble code. We called to get a service technician out here. He told me "We haven't been receiving a signal from your box for two years" and that we needed to be upgraded. Then why the heck did they not send a service person out or even call us to get the system that they're billing us for? This apparently had been going on for over two years!

They claimed that they sent a letter, we never received one. We even had them out here august 2018 and they swapped out some equipment so one would assume that they fixed any issue, but apparently not. The tech on the phone said there had been no signal from our equipment since January 2018.

Called customer service again to cancel our service. She said she wants to keep our business and would escalate the problem to her supervisor and they would call me in 24-48 hrs. Yet another TWO days that our security service is not going to be monitored!

I either want it cancelled or I want to be credited for the TWO YEARS that we paid for yet had no service. NO other options will be afforded them at this point.

IF they make this right and upgrade our equipment AND give us TWO YEARS pre-paid then I'll stay with them (since I already paid for it) else I'll just go with ADT.

be very cautious when dealing with Citywide alarms , when i guess it was the owner came out to look at my job and provide me with an estimate to install some cameras and a dvr to monitor , i was very clear about what i was trying to do by having this security system installed ( trying to catch punk kids driving by the house at night or very early in the morning ) vandalizing my mailbox ,vehicles ,garage door . Twice the system he sold me and charged me for ( $1,600.00 ) has failed me . i called the owner after the first incident and he said he would have a technician come by at the end of the day ( which nobody ever did , or call ) so i had another company come over and look everthing over and kept wondering why they used the 4 cameras they did , they have zero or very little night vision or distance capabilities , he used some shitty LTS cameras that if you look up the reviews are all shitty , basically my little system ( 4 cameras and a dvr are all worthless for my application , maybe if you have a bigger job with more profitability for citywide you would be treated better but for a small little guy on a limited budget , id be real careful or knowledgeable before id deal with this jokester
