It seems I am not alone in this post. The customer service is HORRIBLE! I needed a double pane window replaced. When I dropped my window off, I explained that I work and would be getting there right before 4pm to pick it up. The lady said "That's no problem! We are open till 4." I started calling at 340 to tell them I was on my way, no answer. Then when I got there at 3:54pm, EVERYONE was gone! So, I went back the next morning and explained what happened. The guy laughed and said "Guess they dipped out early on ya!" and laughed again. As a paying customer, that is not funny. I wasted my time leaving early from work to pick it up and had to go into work late the next day to actually get the window I had already paid for. From now on, I will be going anywhere but here! Hopefully someone looking for a repair will seek out reviews and chose to go somewhere else too! They do not deserve your business!

This review will touch on several aspects of my experience there:
When I entered the store, there was one woman at her desk behind the counter. She got up and I explained to her what I needed:
All I needed was a small pane of glass, 4 x 13 inches. I had brought a sample glass, which I asked them to replicate, but!!! to just make the new one 1/8 " slimmer than the original, along the 13 inch side. After I had told her all of that, she said that she was not the one who needed to know, but that she needed to call a technician from the back. However, before she could do that, I needed to pay: $ 9.72 for the little pane of glass...OK, no problem... I need it! I tended her my credit card. She refused it, saying they only take cash under 20 $. Well, my car was parked a little stretch away, since they don't have a parking lot. I said to her that while I was getting the cash from my car, she could maybe have them cut the glass, to save time?? NO, not possible. First pay, then service... was her answer. I walked out to get my purse, returned and paid in cash. Then she called a technician from the back.
The elderly employee took notes on a pad, of what I wanted, then proceeded to the back of the place, where they manufacture the orders. The female employee pointed me to the exit door and told me to go to the side of the building where there is another door, and this is where they would hand me the new glass pane. So I am standing outside, in the sweltering heat (100 F that day!)... with the brick wall and the sidewalk reflecting the heat at me, no shade tree... and sweating, waiting... after about 15 minutes, I got my glass pane. I checked it and it was exactly the size of the original, not 1/8" narrower!
Return inside, explain what's wrong... repeat of the first part... waiting... another technician comes back and hands me the new pane: it is 1/8" shorter now, not 1/8" narrower! Reclamation on my part. They go back and do it again....now the new version is 1/8" shorter AND 1/8" narrower.... somebody help me!!! Next round and finally, I get the correct size pane.
At that point, I could not refrain from making a comment to the front employee about how this experience was anything but customer friendly to me. She took offense at that! No "sorry" no nothing!
I will make sure to never even accidentally step into that store again.
There is another glass cutting store about 2 blocks further down. I'll go there next time.

If you're in need of screen replacements OnSite is the company! From initial contact bid with Shannon, communication with job coordinator Tracy & job completion by Max they are the very BEST in providing excellent quality service to their customers before & after job completion.
    Thanks again!

This is an excellent company. The owner, Shannon, arrived on time, finished 9 screens in record time, and kindly helped me tape up a broken window. You just can't beat the quality, value, and service. Highly recommended!

We took a storm door frame to have the (tempered) glass replaced and was told it would take (2) two weeks. We paid the $300+ ahead of time as requested. We waited. My husband called the office at the end of the two weeks and a female answered. My husband replied that we were checking up on the door and that it was at the promised date. She then asked "Did we call you?", he responded no and she then replied "We will call you when it is ready". We waited another (3rd) week. He called back the following (3rd) week and talked with the same woman and got the same response but more of an irritated response in her voice. So when we were now into the (4th) week, I called. There was a voice answering machine and I left a message that this was taking well too long and that we were either picking up the finished door, or the frame and expected a refund that day. We received a call from a really nice guy that apologized that the door was ready and somehow the paperwork had gotten shuffled around. I told him Thank You for the call and we would be over to pick the door up. When we arrived I went into the office and wanted to express my disappointment in how this was handled. The female wasn't cordial at all with me and told me if I wasn't "Happy" then to leave the store. I explained to her that this is not a way to take care of customers or a Business . I did ask for her name and can not remember it. That being said, I will absolutely not recommend using this store unless you don't mind the way this might happen to you.

The best glass and mirror repair in St. Louis. Extremely professional, honest, and respectful. Highly recommend.

Service requested: caulking for a very old wood and glass basement window.

Quality: 5 stars: Gravois glass cleaned and repaired (caulked) the wooden frame and glass. Before the window looked rather shabby and after it was almost thing of beauty.

Value: 2 stars, initially; 4 stars now. I experienced sticker shock. But now I think it was worth the money for restoring the old window.

For repairing aluminum storm windows and screens, I recommend Southside Hardware.

If you are looking for something simple don't go here. I had a large salon type mirror that I wanted cut in half or maybe even thirds so I could mount them on my apartment wall. They wanted to charge me $40 per cut. A cut... that takes what, a minute if that to do?

I took it to another place on Manchester off of Hanley Rd. They were so nice, cut in on the spot for $10 a cut. They even beveled the edges for me.

Onsite Home Window Screens responded within 24 hours, was flexible about scheduling a home visit, offered services on Sunday, did not charge separately for sales tax, and dod not charge separately for coming to my house, which would defeat the purpose of an onsite business. Also. Shannon, the owner, did not have a minimum number of screens before he would provide service. $35.00 per screen, flat.

I had all of my window screens replaced by ON-SITE WINDOW SCREENING, and I am more than pleased. The serviceman, Shannon, came out quickly, gave me an excellent price, did the work promptly, and I didn't have to do a thing. Such a pleasant surprise to find such great service these days. 314-202-7900.

Put in a website request and Shannon responded within 30 minutes. Sent him a quick picture of what was needed. Have a quote via text on price per window. Texted him the next morning to schedule a future date for service and said he could come that day, if it worked. It was fine as long as it was after a certain hour. He texted me about 10 minutes before his arrival. When he arrived windows were in the front of the house. He took them off. We also asked him about a screen door on the patio which did not work well. He helped make sure it worked and the frame was good. We had him also replace the screen door as well. He put it back on and tightened it to make sure it worked correctly. He completed 2 windows and screen door onsite in less than an hour! If we need service again, he will be the first connection to do the work!

We had a screen on our patio door that was torn by one of our dogs. I sent a message online at about 11pm and had a response by 6:54am, which was amazing. Especially considering a different company I tried never responded at all. Not only that, Shannon was able to get the work done the same day and was incredibly friendly throughout the transaction, which I really appreciate when giving someone my business. I highly recommend this business and will use them again anytime I have a screen issue. Please support them too!

Another 'joy' of home owning is trying to figure out who to use (which company is the best) for repairs. I was so thankful when we found Shannon and Onsite Home Window Screening Pros. The screens in our home are probably about 12-15 years old and they were beginning to rattle and some of the screens were torn so we knew we needed rot either get new ones or repair the ones we had.

We called Shannon and he was literally the best for the job! He offered to come out to look at our screens and provide a free estimate. Within a few days, he was knocking on our door. When he arrived, he was wearing a mask (thank you!) and introduced himself. We brought him around the house so that he could see each screen and he gave honest feedback and offered to repair only the screens that truly needed the work. He knows his screens and was sharing all sorts of terms with us and telling us about the work her can do.

After his first visit, we agreed that we needed about 12 new screens repaired and he quoted us a very reasonable price. Shannon took the screens with him and returned less than a week later with them ready to be placed back into our windows. Shannon was so friendly and even managed to make an on-site repair to a single screen in our kitchen.

It's amazing how great our screens look now; they are safely in place (no rattling) and look really clean and matching from the outside. Who knew repairing screens could make our home look so good?!?! I'd recommend giving them a call if you aren't sure where to begin with screen repair projects; honest and reliable company with a personal touch.

Thank you Shannon for helping us with this project.

I spoke with someone at Gravois Glass today about my order. There was miscommunication twice about this order. Once between them and my contractor and another time with me.

Today I called explaining what was going on. The lady was extremely rude. I talked with for a bit but then asked her if she could be more polite. This led to her being more rude. I then asked to speak with someone else because I didn't think we were communicating well. She came back on the phone stating she's the only one I can talk to and she will see if the company would agree to doing our order. This is after measurements and a quote was given weeks ago. I told her again I would like to speak to someone else, she told me I can find another company and hung up the phone on me.

This is probably one of the most unprofessional experiences I have ever had. It was an absolutely horrible experience...not to mention I've been 6 weeks delayed on my job because of their lack of communication!

arrived on time, professional and the price was as quoted sight unseen. No funny business.
