There is no other unique place in West County. They have everything from hardware and plumbing supplies, most unique flowers for gardeners, crazy yard art, homegrown tomatoes when in season, baby ducks and chicks in the Spring, firewood, salt licks, live fishing bate, screen repair. Unbelievable people there to help you out! Love this place and have been going there for 30 plus years!

The people at Valley Park Elevator were very friendly and helpful and they explained all the things I needed to know about different types of grass seeds. When and how to plant it and how to often to water. So thanks Guys.

    Longer Review

We moved into an existing home two years ago, and the previous owners had installed bird feeders, for Cardinals and blue jays and many other birds we cannot identify. Ever since then we have purchased the sunflower seeds for the birds at the Valley Park Grain Elevator - they have a great selection.

    In addition...
Last year we needed sod and I purchased 80+ 2x3 foot sheets... so much sod that I had to take two trips. The quality was phenomenal - lush thick grass on top of dark thick dirt. Our yard now looks amazing!!!

I have rarely ventured beyond the register, but on my last visit, for bird seed, I did just that. It turns out the hardware store has most everything you may need - drills and tools, painting equipment, caulk, hoses and other gardening materials. And I am so happy that, after multiple attempts to repair the old hose myself, we now have a Made in USA hose that does not leak.

Thank you, Valley Park Grain Elevator!

Lost two screws the edger when they vibrated loose.

A quick stop with personalized service and back in business.

    10 mins drive

2 mins to find and pay for the parts

So fast, so easy, so perfect, so not a big box store.

    See you next time.

Got a tip from a neighbor on this place. We used their seed and fertilizer on 1/2 acre of dirt and it worked like a charm. Went in and staff was really helpful, courteous and prices were very reasonable. This is my new go to place. Won't go anywhere else. POC is Joe. He will treat you right. They are military friendly too!

This is the place for any of your unique outdoor needs. We go here all the time for our special seeds and they are always helpful.

Parking can be a bit tricky as the lot is small and gravel and getting in and out can be a pain as it's located on a corner with a stoplight.

Best hardware/feed store around! They have a wide variety of products and there is always someone to help with your selection as well as carry it to your vehicle. Support local business!

This is a great little hardware store that has a bit of everything. I usually go here for propane or the random nut/bolt. The folks who work there are pretty laid back but very helpful. Recently I rented a dethatcher and not only got help loading/unloading it and good instructions how to best use it.

They might be a bit pricey vs the big box but the convenience, friendliness, and knowledge more than make up for it.

I just wish their outside fence area wasn't covered in advertising. Makes the area look cheap.

It is hard to believe that there are no reviews for this nostalgic, small town feel hardware store!

This is not your big box, get everything you need home store. It is the Straub's of hardware stores. Visiting here is like going back in to the 1940's. The place is old and the staff has about as much character as the aged wood floors.

The best thing about stopping in here is the convenience. Instead of having to walk miles to get what you need, you can park and take ten steps inside. It is limited in selection, but if you need something basic, it is a quick stop.

I have become mostly a regular patron based on their grass seeds, fertilizer and gypsum. These items are available here and not at most other hardware stores. And the prices are very fair, if not better than other places.

This place is not a one stop shop, but it is nice to have a hardware store where you can get specialty or basic items quick and at a fair price.
