Advantage Air, L.L.C.

My air conditioning system stopped cooling my house in the middle of the summer after I spent a weekend out. I need somebody to fix it in a hurry. I found Air Advantage though Google reviews. Their reviews looked good for me. I was afraid to call somebody I had never heard before. But they were the only ones that answered the phone at 6:30 pm, two days ago. Advantage Air came to my house that same evening . A technician (Dana) arrived around 8 pm at my house. That was amazing for me! I was not expecting to have such a good response time from any company. Dana looked everything and she explained me very well a lot of stuff about air conditioning systems. I had zero knowledge about cooling system before. My cooling gas was almost gone. Very low pressure. Dana replaced my cooling gas, which one is a old type of gas (R22?), because my unit is 16 years old. So it is a more expensive gas. It cost me around $380 with parts and labor. My system has never been repaired before since I moved into this house (since 2008). But I expected to have some sort of problems as it is getting old. So changing the cooling gas... was expected. There is a leak somewhere but Dana advised me I should wait before investing more time and money to find out the leak. It may be a very small leak and the gas load may last years. But if the leak is relevant we may have it lasting a summer or a year. Then we would put more money & time finding the leak. While putting everything else back in place Dana seems to find a potential source for the leak. She could not finish the work as it was getting late. So the next morning another technician came (Don) and finished what should be finished and did an additional inspect. He did find other potential sources of leak but he was also honest to tell us to wait to see how much the gas last. The leak can be too small to be worth the money and time fixing the system. He didn't charged me anything else.
So I appreciate them coming so fast (I did paid extra money for off-hours attendance), for being very honest about the issues and for doing only the required work. Their pricing system was very transparent (no hiding fees, no extra fees) and they explained everything. So far I love their work! Thanks Advantage Air folks!!!!

AC quit overnight. I checked the things I could, but to no avail. Advantage Air was nearby and open on Sunday. After my initial call, the technician called back within the hour. Troy came out and was able to replace a blown capacitor very quickly. He explained and showed how the old one failed. Also gave some suggestions for keeping the coils on the outdoor unit clean.

Jose Cortez came over Sunday on his day off and fixed the issue quickly. He was professional and had great customer service. I’d recommend him and this company to anyone!
