Air Design Heating & Cooling

We've always used Air Design for our heating & cooling repairs or installations. They've always offered competitive prices and excellent customer service. The technicians are also right on time and so nice!

I called because of an issue with my furnace. I was told I had a transformer that had blown and needed replaced before further troubleshooting. After having the new transformer installed we were told there was an issue with the defrost board for running electric heat on the heat pump. Technician told us to just run off of gas heat while waiting for the replacement part. As soon as we were running the gas heat, i noticed the outside unit kept kicking on. (Thermostat was set to aux heat) I then noticed the thermostat was getting very hot. We ended up having to take it off of the wall. Even when the unit was turned off it was still coming on outside. Taking it off the wall, thus disconnecting it was the only way to shut it off. I made 2 calls asking for a callback from the technician about the issue but never received a call back. Finally I received a call from a different tech saying our part had come in. This different tech, Tyler came out and I told him of our new issue. He replaced the defrost board and found our thermostat had went bad. Just strange it had NEVER malfunctioned until after the first tech disconnected and reconnected a board. I want to clarify that Tyler was great. It just really sucks that we had a whole new issue that I couldn't even get a call back on that started after one repair had been completed. We never had the overheating issue before the work. I previously have always been happy with air designs work, but after having to have my thermostat replaced (when it was woekinf fine before) I won't use them again.

Air Design was able to fit me into their schedule fairly quick! So thankful they were able to get my ac fixed so promptly during these high 90s/ low 100s temps.
