After seeing their signage in a few yards around my neighborhood I decided to give Blue Ox Tree Service a call. I had quite a bit of work to be done (2 very large trees and several small tree/bushes.) So cost was a concern. Eddie was willing to work within my budget. He and his crew were very knowledgeable and courteous. The job was done quickly and cleanup was through. I cannot recommend them enough.

The absolute best! Our tree needed trimming in a serious way, and Eddie and his crew showed up and did a fabulous job with thinning the tree out and removing many dead limbs. They did total cleanup, and really went the extra mile. Top marks!

We had a great experience with Blue Ox Tree Service! The rates were fair and Eddie was willing to work with us. They came out the same day, had the tree removed, some extra branches shredded and it all completely cleaned up within 30 minutes! I was impressed! Eddie really went above and beyond for our project and we appreciate it! Would definitely recommend Blue Ox for all tree removal projects!

We had Blue Ox come out and remove what was left of a huge tree that was blown over in a storm. Eddie was super quick on getting me a quote and communicated the scheduling just as fast. Price was very reasonable and in the middle of the quoted range. The guys that were on site were very respectful of the yard and my property. They cleaned up everything as expected and were very polite. I will be using them again if/when needed. 100% would suggest to anyone!

Working with blue ox honestly was one of the best experiences I’ve had working with any contractor. They went absolutely above and beyond with helping me out, and communication was absolutely top notch. I value communication even more than work done typically but they did amazing on Botha would HIGHLY recommend, and if I ever have any more stumps or trees that need attended to I’ll be sure to give them a call first. We had a large limb fall off of our elm tree after a storm. I called Eddie at Blue Ox in the morning and he was able to come out and clean up the mess before I even returned home from work — beating any other quote by a long shot. 100% will use again in the future.

We planned on removing some trees from our yard in the next few years, but as we were having our fence replaced, we realized it would be easier to get equipment close to the trees if we had that done before the fence was up. Eddie at Blue Ox was able to fit us into their schedule on short notice and coordinated perfectly with the fence team so both jobs could be completed in a timely manner. The Blue Ox team was very skilled and professional. They removed 8 of our trees, several of which were over 40', and trimmed 3 others. The price was reasonable, they were pleasant to work with, and the result was outstanding. Highly recommended!

Eddie and his team were awesome. From initial contact to finish, they were extremely fast, friendly, careful and clean at a reasonable price. Same day service. Call back within 2 hrs and job completed in under an 1 hr for tree removal.

Eddie stopped by on a Wednesday late afternoon to look over the absolute mess of my 3 very tall Oaks on my property. They needed a serious clean out of dead and broken limbs. Some hanging right over my roof and ready to let go. He gave me his recommendations and provided a more than fair estimate. I accepted the quote and his very professional crew showed up the following Friday around noon. Job was completed and cleaned up by 4:30pm. Totally impressed and extremely satisfied with the entire evolution. Highly recommend Blue Ox Tree Service. Outstanding!

We have used Blue Ox many times from trimming our large maple tree to removing several large bushes. Their service was excellent and timely. The work they did was great and they were very careful not to do any damage to our property. They also did an excellent job cleaning up after all the services they have done. We have been very pleased with Blue Ox’s work.

We called Blue Ox to get an estimate for two trees to be removed and others heavily trimmed. Eddie came out within 24 hours and offered a very reasonable price. Great communication while getting the date scheduled. Work completed was beyond our expectations. Yard looks so much better and they cleaned up everything before leaving. Highly recommended

I want to give a better review. They did good work, and the people I talked to were very helpful. However, lots of issues arose.

They came out quickly to remove debris that fell on my house during the storm in early August. I was hospitalized while they were working, and instead of calling me or my wife to ask, they performed extra work without permission and charged for it. The job ended up going about $4,000 over the estimate, and my insurance deigned not to cover any of the removal work until we received an invoice.

A month and probably a dozen calls later, I still haven't received my invoice. On my first call, I was told it'd arrive on 8/19, and every call since has promised me that it'd arrive "tomorrow."

Again, I appreciate their timeliness and solid work, but the massive upcharge, lack of consideration, and terrible customer service since has made me really upset.

Update: Finally got the invoice after almost another week of calls. In that time, we got a visit from an arborist working with our neighbor's landlord. Blue Ox said they would "only do what insurance would cover" and charged us well over $10,000. The arborist said the whole job should've taken no more than $8K. We also got the news that, because the tree was such a hazard, our neighbor's landlord was threatening to call the city if we didn't get it taken out.

As far as I can see it, I think Blue Ox took advantage of me and my wife during an emergency. We're working with others to take out the rest.
