The first words out of his mouth when he came over to give a quote were “did (your fiancé) explain to you what work needs to be done?”
We have a large weed removal project that we needed help with, when my fiancé contacted him for lawn help he said that they do it all, but turns out he doesn’t do weed removal.
I’m not upset about the fact that they don’t do weed removal, but I wouldn’t recommend working with someone with the attitude that a woman can’t explain what kind of job needed to be done. He didn’t apologize when I corrected him, either.

I contacted Total Lawn and Landscaping via Facebook because it came up on my feed. I spoke to Robert and explained what I wanted done. We set up a time for him to come out and look. He gave me an estimate for the wall and landscaping edging I wanted done. I also agreed for him to put two down spouts underground. There was also an option for fabric and rocks for $1100 or fabric and mulch for $400. A few days later I sent him a message saying I wanted him to build the wall, do the landscaping edging, do the 2 downspouts and just backfill and put fabric and also that I will have all existing edging blocks and retaining wall blocks gone before they start. He gave a thumbs up and said Ok he'll have a date for me that weekend. He gave me a date, and the day before the work was supposed to be done, he wanted to come over and go over the installation. He came over and saw that all the blocks were gone like I said but said he couldn't do the job now that I brought my rocks. What? You said ok when I said just put the fabric. He got an attitude and said I didn't say that and pulled out his phone and strolled up and was like see nothing there strolled and see nothing there. I said keep going and then he saw the message. I kept saying you really not going to do it? He said I wont make any money on this job now. He started trying to show me where he wont make any money. I said well can you still do the downspouts underground? He said no, he's not wasting his time coming to just do that. I said you agreed with what I wanted. I wouldn't have gone and got my river rocks or pulled all my blocks up. I messaged him later telling him how he was wrong, and he could've tried to compromise the cost, being that he agreed to it. I even said I pulled all the blocks and disposed of them for you. I told him that he was going to charge $400 for fabric and mulch, why couldn't he just say hey how about just $200 for laying the fabric or since I pulled all the blocks and got rid of them just call the $400 even. He suggested nothing. He didn't respond to my message on messenger and blocked me from his business page on Facebook. What a total jerk.

Robert & his crew did a great job on my project!

I was originally looking to just have a new retaining wall & base built for a new shed, but after touring around my yard with Robert during my free consultation, I decided to let him fix it all! It was a very big job and because he priced it so fairly, it was an easy decision to have it all done at the same time so that it matches.

The 3-man crew (Robert plus 2 more) was there promptly every morning for an entire week, re-working each section of my front & back yards. They took care in making sure the new work had the correct drainage & would not be collapsing again. All 3 of them were knowledgable & very hard working and went above & beyond to make sure the job was done right.

I would recommend them to anyone!

Robert was so easy to work with. While I only had a smaller project for him he took it as seriously as a big project. Garden beds are beautiful and one garden bed completely removed and replaced with sod. I couldn't be happier and looking forward to working with him and his crew for future projects. 10/10 would recommend.

Robert and his team did an amazing job giving my lawn a much needed makeover this past month. Beautiful black mulch beds, new berm with plants, and his attention to detail is one of the best. I called a few landscaping companies in the area this spring to give me an estimate and maybe to toss out some ideas on how to beautify my property. Robert showed up on time, walked the property with me and gave me the most appealing ideas at fair prices. He also pointed out some potential water drainage problems and explained what he could do to mitigate any potential issues that might crop up with heavy rain and time.

They put in a good amount of retaining wall, explaining what they were doing and why they were doing it. Buried some downspouts, brought in several tons of river rock and made it all look fantastic. Night and day from what it was before, absolutely beautiful.

Utterly happy with what was done around our house. So happy, in fact, that I recommended this company to my 80-year-old mother, who needed some landscaping work fixed that a different company did a poor job of 10 years ago.
