Wetzel Properties and Remodeling

I'm normally not a fan of leaving negative reviews. But the communication abilities of this company are completely nonexistent.

Initially we reached out to have them estimate some remodel work for us. After ghosting us for a number of days, they responded with an hour's notice of them coming to check out our job. We had to scramble a bit to make sure we were around, but whatever.

They came and checked out the work we were quoting. The guy who came was extremely friendly and willing to answer our questions. He explained that we'd get a written estimate in a few days.

A week+ went by, and we never heard from them with a written quote. I reached back out to them again, asking about the written quote, and the request was never responded to. Crickets after the initial contact.

I'm sure they probably do good work. And when they came for an estimate, they were very friendly. But the complete lack of communication outside of the visit, and the completely ghosting after the initial visit, leaves me unable to trust that they'd actually deliver on what was promised. Your mileage may very, but I wouldn't trust these guys to deliver on their word, if you need something done in a relatively scheduled manner.

Wetzel Properties and Remodeling revitalized my old basement bathroom! Orchestrated a beautiful new bathroom and diligently problem solved old house issues like uneven bathroom floors and odd size lumber in the ceiling. The tile looks fantastic ! We needed several pieces custom made to fit the old space and keep with the aesthetic, including having metal pieces special painted to both match and last. They used quality construction products like the Wedi Shower System, (similar to the Schulter system) which gave me peace of mind that I won't have a mold problem in a few years. Bonus was integrating the bathroom's electrical system with my Philips lights. Now I can set mood lighting scenes with Siri and program the bathroom fan to run when the humidity gets high in the basement!

Very pleased with our kitchen remodel. As a contractor, Tom was detail-oriented trustworthy. Estimates were accurate. Workmanship was impeccable. We've already hired him back for another project. Highly recommend.
