Shane has done work around my house ranging from Wallpaper/backsplash installation to painting. He always arrives on-time and ready to work! His work is detailed oriented and clean. I highly recommend him and will definitely reach out again if I need a solid Handyman!

I rarely write negative reviews, but our experience with Shane and Revive Pros has been uniquely distressing.

In December 2025, we signed a contract with Shane for a large bathroom remodel. We were aware he was unlicensed but chose to give him a chance based on his personal story of building his business toward licensure. Work began in early January with an estimated 4–6 week timeline.

    Contractual & Financial Issues:
With only a few days of work remaining, Shane abruptly demanded final payment before finishing the job—a major red flag in any construction project. When we refused to pay before a satisfactory conclusion, he demanded immediate payment, a 30% contract increase, for unauthorized "additional work" as a condition for finishing. This felt like a clear attempt to bypass our right as homeowners to approve change orders or make scope adjustments to offset new costs, essentially using the unfinished project as leverage.

    Professionalism & Ethics:
Since this disagreement began, the situation has devolved into harassment toward my wife and threats against our property, including the filing of a fraudulent lien and legal action. We have since learned that in Nevada, it is a criminal offense for an unlicensed individual to represent themselves as a contractor and to take on projects exceeding $1,000; this project was nearly $28,000.

Shane’s lack of professionalism was a consistent issue, beginning with the fundamental misrepresentation of his credentials and legal standing to perform a project of this scale. This lack of professional standards manifested throughout the project—most notably when a licensed plumber, who was brought in for a consultation, was drawn into a shouting match with Shane inside our home, forcing us to ask them both to leave. From his initial false pretenses to his hostile behavior at the project's end, he has proven to be unreliable and ethically compromised.

    Quality of Work:
While some aspects, like the floor tiling, were done well, the overall quality was inconsistent and amateur:

Mechanical Issues: The toilet flange was installed incorrectly, and sink drainage was placed in the wrong location (requiring us to cut into new cabinetry to make it fit). Shower control cartridge had been mistakenly disassembled and installed incorrectly making the shower unable to be turned off. Existing speakers were glued to the ceiling, causing us to not be able to service or replace them easily.

Aesthetic Issues: Poor miter joints, inconsistent tile spacing, gap issues and attention to detail in many places.

Timeline: It took 12 working weeks of work to reach a usable state.

We ultimately had to hire a new contractor to correct these mistakes and finish the job. If you consider Revive Pros, I urge extreme caution. Keep a diligent eye on the work and, more importantly, the legal and contractual boundaries. Knowing what we do now, we never would have hired Shane and saved ourselves the stress and headaches.

Update: As can be seen from his response, his criminal acts continue. Please review with the Nevada State Contractors Board on his actions before believing any lies.
