We reached out to Litchy Electric to introduce ourselves and see if we could support their switchgear procurement. We were shocked at how unprofessional the owner, Lance, spoke to us in the very first call.Rather than having a normal business conversation, he was abrupt, dismissive, and made it clear he had no interest in hearing about lead time improvements or cost-saving options. He stated he already works with five suppliers (which raises its own questions — most efficient companies don’t need that many overlapping sources), and then told us not to call again.
For context: right now Siemens is ~153 working days out on standard gear. Custom UL 891 switchboard shops are delivering in nearly half that time. When we try to share that, and the response is hostility instead of professionalism, it says everything.
I would not recommend Litchy Electric to anyone — especially in the tilt-up market — if you value modern communication, updated lead-time strategies, and basic professional respect.
The industry is moving forward into 2025. Some companies are still stuck operating like it’s 1995.
