I had my fan go out in my bathroom and the gentleman, named Jimmy Delong from (UES) came right in a completed the job in less than an hour, he had a mask, he was very professional had a great attitude and very knowledgeable of why the fan broke, couldn't be more happier with the top notch service. Via an attorney asked for their services to measure the current of a "hot wire" that is used in agriculture fencing and the charge was $150.00 which seems extremely high since travel time to the job site is 15 minutes. It took the person travel time then maybe 2 minutes to pull out a tester and read the current. If you want excessive costs for electric service call this business.

I recently used United Electric to help with some electrical repairs on a fixer upper in Johnson Lane. I called Branden to get an estimate on the repairs. He was incredibly nice, knowledgable and professional. They were pretty booked solid but the company showed concern for what appeared to be a loose connection so they scheduled me in right away. I thought that was pretty cool that our safety was a priority. The lady who called to schedule was just so sweet and nice. Joey was the electrican that came to the house. He was knowledgeable, professional, kind and efficient. He wanted to be extra sure all was good after fixing the loose connection, so he checked all the outlets. Good thing he did because another loose connection was found in the master bedroom. Once Joey finished, he showed me a tool to buy to test for loose connections so I can be extra safe with the electrical. The price was right, the service was spectacular; they are currently working on an estimate to replace my electrical box so I definitely plan to use them again and highly recommend them to others. Great service all the way around.

Had the security setup with united electrical and worked fine for a bit but once the system went down it took them 4 months to come out and try and fix it. They were unable to fix it and said it would be $2,000 for a new monitor and sensors and another $300 dollar service fee to tell me that the equipment won't work anymore. Ended up using ADT for a little bit more but customer service is way better.

We had a contract with UES in excess of $30k for a new construction. Lots of reasons for a 2-star review:

The on site supervisor quit and walked off the job, twice

The crew took a vacation and we were not notified, which stalled progress by upwards of three weeks

They poked holes in the ceiling above the shower where a recessed light was to be installed so they could find the wire. We explained that the drywall was put in over the wiring but the light is centered above the shower floor. They punched holes away from the center. We were left with a $400 expense to patch the ceiling, texturize and paint.

They drilled a hole into the exterior concrete wall - looking for wire - and left it when they realized it wasn't what they were looking for. The concrete and paint cannot be touched up. This requires plugging the hole they left and painting the entire end to end wall.

When they installed a lightswitch in the kitchen they positioned it in a manner that resulted in the edge of the switch plate cover extending beyond the edge of the wall...it is not flush with the edge and sticks out.

They installed very large pendants over the kitchen island but did not properly straighten the chain so one is crooked. They didn't put on the black covers over the bolts so you can see the metal.

They installed outdoor sconces unsecurely and they literally bobbed against the wall with the slightest breeze. The fact that the worker thought this was OK, and I had to call them to come and fix it says alot.

A few outlets and switches don't work.

They would not send a crew to continue work until they had the necessary LED bulbs for the recessed lights. These are lights they knew were needed but didn't order them until the last minute, and the delivery would be 3-4 weeks. This further prolonged completion of the work. The project manager - who has since left - had attitude when I asked that the crew come and work on other things while we wait for the bulbs. He sent two guys that showed up without a clue of what to do. They were sent home and another couple weeks was wasted.

The sconce in the kitchen was broken. UE was the only one in the house working the day before - when the sconce was not damaged - but it was broken when I returned the next day. Unfortunately, we bought these as a set of two so couldn't buy one and had to replace both fixtures.

We elected to not do hard wiring for the path lights to the front door but UES charged us anyway. Further, I have expressed concerns about lengthy wire in place that needs to be cut - but I don't know if it's hot so I will not cut it myself.

A switch plate was installed crooked.

Switch plates were left off after follow up work was completed.

The light fixture in the powder room was not centered above the vanity.

I've called the owner and office staff a few times and they passed the buck to Davina who has not called me back.

I don't recommend UES based on my experience. They are disorganized, and their workmanship was sloppy, and they seemingly don't care about their customers given they don't return calls. I've called four times over the past year, including a call and message to the owner of UES. I called most recently about two weeks ago. To date, no one has returned my calls.

Ryan installed 4 smoke detectors for us. He was quick, knowledgeable and professional. He answered our many questions, and provided many suggestions for the problems we have had in the past. I don't normally provide reviews, but was highly impressed with his knowledge & skills.
