I can’t recommend Santiago Landscaping strongly enough. They hand trimmed our rose bushes in the fall last year and when summer rolled around the roses looked 10 times better than any other year. They are really professionals who know what they’re doing. We’ve used several landscapers over the years, and Santiago is the best we’ve found, hands down. Hard work done well. Immaculate clean-up after the job was done. Very satisfied.

I contacted Bill for asssitance with, what I thought was a broken pipe for a property in Reno, He responded quickly and was able to determine that it was a minor issue...no broken pipe. I will now be working with Bill and his team on a permanent basis. They are honest with very reasonable pricing. No one seems to want to call back. Not very cool! I left messages, only received one calle back and nothing the past few days

I called set up an appointment for them to come out to give me a EST on landscaping my yard. They never showed up or called me back to rescedule. I don't recommend this company.

As a local supplier of hardscape products, I see a lot of jobs and work with a lot of companies. Since our recommendations also reflect on our own company, we take it very seriously. I wholeheartedly recommend Sierra Nevada Landscapes as a highly ethical, high quality company. We have their customers coming into our store raving about the great work and service they have received from Sierra Nevada Landscapes and I would happily use them at my own house.

Sierra Nevada Landscape did the landscaping on our new construction home. We worked with co-owner Jeremy. We called five local landscaping companies, and Sierra Nevada was the most professional: they showed up on time, returned calls in a timely manner, delivered plans and quotes when they did they would. A few local places did not meet these basic requirements. The quote came in reasonably priced compared to the competition. They managed the situation process with the Somerset HOA. They took a while to send a team out to do the work, because they are in demand, but once they were able to schedule us, the team was courteous and professional and got the job done well, and quickly. Some companies leave huge piles of gravel or pavers or whatever in front of the house for weeks but this team only delivered what they needed for any given day, and left our street perfectly clean every evening. They brought their own porta potty so they were not tromping though our house, though we said they could use our bathroom. We are delighted with their work.

I'm surprised they are still in business. They did a landscape job for me about ten years ago. Large areas of the pavers have been settling ever since. Poor paver base and sub-base compaction. I think the sub-base has finally stopped sinking. Time to pay somebody else to fix their work.

We hired these guys to put in a large retaining wall and level out our backyard in prep for sod and we could not be happier with the results! Jeremy and his crew were very accommodating and professional while getting this project done. The wall looks absolutely beautiful, has proper drainage and a level yard ready for sod to go with. If we have any other landscaping work that needs to be done, we will definitely be hiring SNL again!

I am writing this to warn other homeowners- specifically pet owners- about the lack of professional expertise and accountability at Sierra Nevada Landscapes, and Jeremy Michaud the owner. Since 2018, I have spent nearly $90,000 with this company, including a recent $13,000 project in 2025 to completely rip out and reinstall a twice failed pet turf area, only to be left with the same unusable, foul-smelling yard.
The core of the issue is a fundamental lack of industry knowledge regarding pet-friendly artificial turf installation leading to persistent urine odors. When original turf became matted and flat, Jeremy's solution was to add more silica sand.I have since learned from multiple other professionals that silica sand is the primary material you NEVER USE for pet turf, as it's porous and permanently traps odors. Even during the complete 2025 reinstallation-which involved ripping out 10 inches of base layer- Jeremy still used silica sand. Predictably, the odor returned and was worse than before.
While Jeremy offered to redo the yard a fourth time, I could not trust a "professional" who repeatedly used wrong materials after seven years of documented failures. Despite the massive amount of money spent, he has refused to offer any form of cash refund. I am now forced to pay a new contractor to fix his mistakes.

If you want a functional, sanitary yard, do not trust this company. Their "expertise" is severely lacking, their communication is spotty and they do not stand behind their work with financial accountability.

Uriah did a great job replacing my fence. Very friendly and knowledgeable. Good communications and prompt. He figured out what I wanted and made useful suggestions. Also did a few small fixes at no extra charge. Highly recommend.
