I left a message for cleaning if a wood stove through their web page. It was in the evening a few hours later then they closed, expecting a call in a day or two. I received a phone call a few minutes later. The web said they serviced my area, they do not; however, I was impressed with his professionalism. We talked for 30 minutes. He explained what I should look for in a local chimney sweep, explaining some of the errors persons who are not properly trained make that can increase a chance of fire. He also offered to be on the phone answering questions while my chimney was cleaned by another sweep. While in the phone his wife looked up my area to find a certified chimney sweep and came up empty. There is one chimney sweep I can find in Fallon and he is not certified. I would recommend all give this guy a call, he 'CARES'.

We had a fireplace insert that needed to be removed and the fireplace restored before escrow could close. Lee made everything happen and kept closing on time. Always answered my phone calls and was very honest!

I called ABL midday today and asked about booking an appointment in the next few weeks. Being later September and "Chilly Season" fast approaching Lee responded quite energetically bewildered (as chimney sweepers do this time of year) that I could ever expect to be serviced so quickly. ABL is booked until 2nd week of December!!! ☃️

After a moment of letting the "oh chit!" sink in on my end Lee asked what I needed. I exclaimed with a lemans gibberish that a year ago I was told (by another local sweeper seemingly no longer interested in honoring a previously booked appointment and ceasing to return messages) that my chimney wasn't safe to burn in as there were dangerous cracks in that needed repairs. Lee thought for a moment before chiming in "Call me back in 30 minutes, lemme get off this roof!"

... Feeling a glimmer of hope that we may gratefully be able to have a crackling fire this winter I set my alarm to ring him back...

When he answered and I explained briefly who I was it was as if he and Chris (his son and fellow soot rustlin' hustla') had chatted and mulled over my lame explanation of my problem. Without hesitation Lee asked, "what's your address? Will you be home this afternoon?"

Two hours later two of the most stoked on life guys show up eager to figure out what on earth "problem" was plaguing my chimney! They split up with Chris charging into the house (fully invited and I notified him about the welcome towels protecting the carpet) to examine the inside situation. Moments later Lee was flying up the stairs, ladder on shoulder, ready to Santa Clause his way to a solution!

Within 10 minutes, and several perplexed glances shared of "why was the original fear instilled that this chimney is so dangerous," they shared that YES, the crown of the chimney does show some cracks BUT that holds no danger for burning. They then told me exactly how to DIY patch the small area inside the hearth (which shows some fatigue) with some cement from Home Depot. They even shared some details about where to source some good grates and fireplace accessories. No more than 11 minutes later we were shaking hands and Lee said "there's no charge for this call out, this was quick and easy" (that's not word for word but basically the vibes they shared)

I didn't know service like this still existed. Thank you ABL! And cheers for being such a stellar example of how a father-son duo can crush it at life!! Appreciate you both. ABL is the ONLY chimney sweeper I'll use in Northern Nevada.

I contacted Lee, he stated he would get right over to one of my properties. He was on the roof asked me to text him the address and tenant information, which I did. Didn't hear from him. Called back about a week later. On the roof again, gave him the information for the tenant and what needed to be done. Called back in 2 weeks and stated he would get in touch with tenant. Called back about 3 weeks later, he stated he was booked out until the end of January.

Needed my wood stove removed to close on the sale of my house. Lee got out quickly and got the job done with no hassle and no mess. Had everything on the truck (caps, etc.). No shenanigans here, the stove was rendered inoperable in my presence and the certification was sent to Washoe County the same day. Beware those that may resell stoves, offer to "hide" it for the inspection, or attempt other illegal moves. ABL will help you comply with the law and close your deal. Certified by Washoe County.

Fast, honest, friendly and super knowledgeable. Anyone needing their fireplace looked at should call. We found out late for our escrow to close the fireplace needed to be certified. He came out same day so we could close in time.

Same day service. Friendly, knowledgeable. Did not try to "oversell" me on anything. Inspected and cleaned my fireplace insert flue pipe, and no mess inside my house! Will definitely use Lee again.

Walked me through a simple solution to my fireplace damper problem. It would not close . I really appreciated Lee's honesty. Other companies told me I "probably needed a new fireplace" ....will definitely use ABL for chimney needs. Honesty is hard to come by these days

Called Lee this morning for a pellet stove repair expecting to leave a message on an answering machine. I was pleasantly surprised to actually have Lee answer the phone. (That's good business these days.) He wasn't actually able to help me with what I needed, but gave me some great referrals.

To my sweet surprise Lee promptly answered on a Sunday while watching football games. He sounded like a god send with great confidence in helping me out. I see why ABL comes so highly recommended. Called and was told there were no openings until February but to try back in a few days and maybe they could squeeze me in. I actually forgot to call back and when I finally did they were able to squeeze me in same day within literally minutes. I realize that may not always be the case, but I can see why they book up months in advance. Lee and his helper were clean, professional, and fast. I will definitely use them again and would recommend them.
