Silver State heating and air is the absolute best company that I have worked with when it comes to HVAC. They are consistent and do a very well job. I have had the pleasure of dealing with Alex when he comes to our community and he is very transparent when he talks to you about the problem at hand. Very friendly very easy to talk to and most of all very professional. I’ve also had the privilege to work with Dave. He runs a good business and is always very helpful. I would recommend this company over and over to anybody who needs good quality work done.

Business Review - We recommend them! They have wonderful customer service, are personable, and understood the needs of our business and service requirement. For our commercial building, we're set up for quarterly maintenance/service, and while it could be a pain, it's a breeze. They have fair prices, are easy to contact, and make sure we're operating in tip top shape.

We absolutely love Silver State Heating and Air. They are honest, reliable, and do truly high-quality work.

We moved into our home a few years ago with a 30-year-old HVAC system that is both outdated and complicated. Our house has four different zone controls (four thermostats), a damper system that’s no longer typical, and the unit runs on propane. Silver State was one of the only companies in our area that knew how to work on a system like ours—I called at least five other places.

We first reached out in the middle of summer, shortly after moving in, when our heater started turning on in the middle of the night. We had a newborn at the time and woke up to a dangerously hot situation. Their team came out the very next day to troubleshoot and fix the issue. Part of the problem was a badly jerry-rigged control board at the main unit. They completely redid the control panel, and the price was very reasonable.

Fast forward three years later—I wanted to shut off one of the zones but couldn’t remember which zone controlled which part of the house. Dave, the service manager, took my call, and even after all that time, they had such thorough notes that he could tell me exactly which zone went where and how to safely disconnect it myself. They didn’t try to sell me a service call—they just did the right thing and helped a mom out.

Dave was fantastic, and the entire team has consistently been helpful, knowledgeable, and trustworthy. We can’t recommend Silver State Heating and Air enough.

Silver State Heating and Air will keep your home or business cozy in the winter, cool in the summer, and efficient year round! Dave and Alex are great - honest and know HVAC!
Did you know hvac techs often are paid commission? This can mean service recommendations are not necessarily based on what your system needs, so higher repair costs for customers. No commission at Silver State! Their people evaluate your HVAC and make recommendations based on what it needs to function well. Thank you Silver State!

Had made an appointment with tech on weekend for Monday. Time came Monday and no show. Called office to find out no appointment was scheduled. Was then scheduled. David came and did a super job but feel was over charged for time spent on job as he did not have part and had to go purchase. Common part thermocoupler should be on truck. They do provide military discount. All in all David was very professional. Heater cleaned and up and running.

one of their tech guy came in to check the furnace and after quite he can’t seem to figure it out he called his boss. then after like an hour or so he told me that they think it’s the control board and it needs replacement. and here’s the kicker the guy doesn’t have one. i didn’t know that they only do diagnosing the problem and didn’t have the proper parts to finish the job and the worst part is he charged me $150! bummer

This company is misleading and dishonest when it comes to billing.

They overinflate their quoted service hours to complete work and do not update their invoices to reflect actual hours worked.

When called out on billing over hours worked, they claim their quote includes ADMIN duties (same billable rate as service tech of course) and travel time.

Lesson learned - ask specifics about the quote hours before agreeing to those terms.

So I scheduled an appointment a week ago, came home on my lunch break to meet the technician. Waited 15 minutes after he was supposed to show up. I called and the technician didn't even know he had an appointment.

Their secretary sucks, if you use them call 30 minutes before the appointment so you don't waist your time if they didn't schedule your appointment.

If you want poor customer service and to be left with a furnace functioning well below the levels it was running at before a routine maintenance visit, definitely use these guys. We called Silver State for routine maintenance and the technician had to come back three separate times that very same day because our furnace was suddenly misfiring. After confronting the owner about this, we were challenged about the health of our furnace because we have space heaters in the house. Anyone who owns an oil furnace knows heating oil is not cheap. We use the space heaters when we lower the temp on the thermostat in order to save on oil. While we may have continued to use Silver State despite the serious hick up in our furnace's functioning post their service, after the way the owner treated us we will not be coming back and will not be recommending them. So, now after a simple routine maintenance visit, we have a furnace that previously worked well and now needs to be reset weekly and a big bill (that includes a part we did not authorize the installation of). If you have an old oil furnace, or if you really just want good work done by respectable and respectful technicians and business owners, perhaps check out one of the other heating and air companies in town.
