The seller of my home, who did not ever live in the home, hired Snedeker to inspect and service the gas furnace before I moved in. My first morning (Saturday) I go to use the shower the water is ice cold. I called Snedeker and he told me to call someone else if I could because he was already at a job. He said that he probably wouldn’t be able to get to me, even tomorrow because he had other jobs to do. So I called another reputable business owner in Concord who came out immediately even though he was on another job, also. He said that whoever had done the inspection had definitely missed something. $450 (350 for parts, 100 for labor) later, I called Snedeker to inform him of the bill I had to pay due to him missing the problem. He told me that I didn’t give him enough time to come by and check it himself, even though he had told me to get someone else to do it if possible. So after following his instruction and pointing that out to him, he told me it was not his problem because he does not warranty his work. He said it is a one man operation and he apologized. I said that I would not be recommending his services to anyone going forward. He told me I was unreasonable, said “welcome to homeownership” and hung up the phone on me. I tried calling back only to be ignored. Snedeker is not only botching work, he is unprofessional and uncaring. It takes a lot for me to write something up but this had to be done. I’m out $450 now because of his mistake.

Steve took weeks to get back to us for the job. His invoice was more than double his original quote, and his work was less than appealing. He never pulled permits for the work; when we asked him to pull the permits retroactively, he said he would (never did) and then stopped answering our phone calls and texts. If I could leave zero stars, I would.

We had a water heater break and flood our basement on a late Sunday afternoon. Steve responded right away by phone to our situation and had a new like water heater to us by Monday at 830am. His techs were very personable, informative, and provided timely quality service. Thank you!
