My heat went out on probably what will be one of the coldest saturdays this year. I called multiple places, one wanted to charge $270 just for the call and then $250 an hour and then said they probably wouldn’t be able to repair it because it was a Saturday and they couldn’t get parts. Other places didn’t return my calls and others couldn’t come out till mid week. I called C&S and Chuck picked up the phone right away and was at my place within an hour. He figured out the problem and because my furnace was 23 years old and had never been serviced (I know I know) he recommended replacing it for safety’s sake and I honestly couldn’t disagree. He had a new furnace and replaced my old one by midweek for a very reasonable price. He offered safe portable heaters for me to use but I had my own so it wasn’t necessary. He was professional, polite, had great communication, they cleaned up after themselves, I couldn’t be happier.

I started working with Chuck and his team during the HOT summer of '24 when our central air conditioner condenser failed. He quickly provided an upgraded replacement which has kept our house cool! He also provided a thorough cleaning of the A/C and Heating Unit.
When we purchased our commercial warehouse in Barrington, C&S was my first call. We added (3) new Modine Heaters, 24" Spiral Duct work along with a new furnace to heat the upstairs office.
The service from his team is excellent and they provide great workmanship. I appreciate the follow-up calls after installation making sure everything is performing well. I highly recommend working with C&S for both residential and commercial!

This is a second update I would like to say that this business goes above and beyond to make sure their previous customer are satisfied, let me tell you the owner i believe he's goes by chuck I had an issue in installing a new washer and was having best buy installers install it in my laundry room and for some reason this dumm asses had ended up braking one of the hot water pipes and water went everywhere so I had no one else that I knew that can help with this issue so I went ahead and called chuck from
(C&S Oil Hvacr)he came over immediately he had stop what he was doing and got to my house in no time and had called (Royal Plumbing & heating Inc.) one of he's friend who was a certified plumber. they came and got a new piece welded and problem solve , this place of business that anyone with hvac service ac oil boilers etc I encourage any one to call this guy for any of you're service this is the service you need this is the customer service you should want from a establishment like them you will not have no regrets . You might have a different company you go too but I can guarantee you they won't be as proffesional loyal knowledgeable and will treat you like family like this guys do. Highly highly recommended

I highly recommend C&S! Chuck was amazing. We were having so many issues with our furnace. We had other companies come out, and no one could figure out the problem. Chuck was incredibly knowledgeable, honest, and fair with his pricing. He ended up replacing our furnace and did a great job. He’s genuinely a great guy, and we’re so grateful for his help. I can't thank Chuck and his crew enough for the fast response in dealing with my emergency call on a Friday. My well used furnace had it's end of life moment during the coldest day we had so far. They responded quickly the same day, assessed the situation and recommended a replacement unit. I was surprised at how fast he could get the installation scheduled. The new unit was installed the follow Tuesday and is working flawlessly. They were friendly, professional and so easy to work with. Told them I will be calling in the spring to have my AC checked before I need it. I would recommend them for any of your needs.

Chuck the owner came and did a thorough inspection of the system, checking for draft, CO readings, and efficiency. He was very good at explaining every detail of what he was doing, what might be the cause of my draft issue and he made excellent suggestions for future considerations regarding my equipment. The technician was able to drop by the day after we called, and got us squared away very quickly. Our system is getting old enough that we're going to have to plan for a replacement, and we knew that would be the case. The technician walked us through the issues, and explained everything in detail, so we fully understood the options. Superior knowledge and patient explanations gave us full confidence in Big Al's team and professionalism. Highly recommend!

Technician showed up promptly, as estimated. Frankie did a great job! I explained the issue, he did the troubleshooting and got the heating system back on line quickly. I am very happy with the service provided. I have had Al's do troubleshooting several times with success every time. they have also completed installation of mini-splits for with full satisfaction! We're in the middle of a nor'easter with a bomb cyclone and blizzard-like conditions. I wake to find it's 55 in my house. First phone call finds my usual go-to who installed the system and does my repairs and service in Florida! He suggests my propane supplier. They are closed and have one technician on the road. I'll be on tomorrow's schedule for sure. So much for nearly 45 years as a loyal customer! I see the raves for Big Al's Services all over Facebook so call #3. I left a voice message and received a reply in minutes. Was advised the technician would text when he was on his way. Again I had the text within minutes. We had a challenge getting him in due to the drifting snow but the tech was understanding and very personable. He quickly diagnosed the problem and replaces the failed part. The price was very reasonable. I've never used Big Al's Services before and it was under the worst emergency conditions all around. I can't say enough about how grateful I am. I had a rusty old oil tank with a minor leak. I called several companies for a replacement, but no one could fit me into their schedule. Big Al asked for a few photos of the tank, provided a competitive quote right away, and was able to fit me in on short notice.
