Home Services reviews in Allendale, New Jersey

This company is not a landscaper. It is a poor lawn mower at best. We hired them to do spring cleanup which was never completed. We complained, the gm showed up took pictures and agreed it was outrageous and said he would meet with his team. The following week, someone came with a weed wacker and destroyed my Perrenials and damaged our swing set, didn't do any the seeding (I did it). So now I have bald patches all over my lawn, destroyed flower beds and swing set, I spent days fixing this and it will likely take me a month to get it reasonable again.

Do not under any circumstances use this company.

Borst helped transform my over grown pond and waterfall into a beautiful backyard oasis. Kenny and the Garden Care crew did a tremendous job from start to finish. Kenny especially, he took our suggestions and goals for the project, explained every plant he chose and why, and managed to save us substantially by trimming/saving some over grown plants/shrubs and repurposing others on the property. While I unfortunately didn't take a before photo, the difference is truly night and day. My only regret is that their beautiful work is in the backyard and not the front where more people could appreciate it.

Will definitely be working with Borst and Kenny again for our future landscape design, and planting needs.

I had a fantastic experience with Borst. Overall the service and work quality can't be beat. Matt created a beautiful design for my backyard and his team executed it perfectly. I could not be happier with how it turned out. The team was super friendly and extremely knowledgeable. I will absolutely continue to work with Borst for all of my future projects.

We highly recommend Borst Landscaping services. Karl Wahlberg drew up a lovely rendering for our back yard project and the finished project under the diligent efforts of Ramon and Nacho exceeded our expectations!

Kenny Stagg and the Borst crew have been taking care of my yard for 2 years now. The organic lawn care and maintenance has completely transformed my yard into a golf course. Kenny recently redid all my planting beds as well as creating a magnificent surround to my new patio in my backyard. It looks absolutely gorgeous and makes the time we spend out side special.

Borst has been working in my garden for 3 years, they are impeccable.
They trim all the bunches and trees, fertilize, spray, do the mulch and the lawn maintenance.
They are extremely knowledgeable and they were able to personalize their service to my needs. I have a person to call or email every time I have a question or need an adicional service. Her name is Deandra and she makes sure everything is on schedule and running smoothly. Good communication with the client is another strong point on Brost. I am very satisfied with their service.

Roberto has been responsible for my lawn care for many years. Besides his extreme knowledge about lawn and shrubbery care, he is also so kind and patient. He always answers any questions I have about my lawn in an extremely timely manner. I am beyond pleased with the quality of his service and I wouldn’t trust my yard care to anyone else.

I couldn't be more thrilled with the beautiful additions Deandra Hanke and her exceptional team from Borst Landscaping made to our perennial garden. Deandra perfectly enacted my vision and exceeded all expectations!
The rock garden she created in our driveway pocket adds wonderful texture and interest to what was previously an unused space. The miniature Willow tree placed strategically on our deck now provides the perfect amount of shade we were hoping for. I particularly love the pea gravel sitting area that offers us a serene spot to enjoy breathtaking views of our garden.
One of the most impressive features is the border garden with river rock and carefully selected deer-resistant plants. This practical yet beautiful addition has transformed the entire look of our outdoor space.
I must also acknowledge Deandra's outstanding team - Deyvi, Emilio, and Santos - whose attention to detail and professionalism were evident throughout the project. They worked efficiently and respectfully, treating our property with the utmost care.
If you're looking for landscapers who truly listen to your ideas and bring them to life with expertise and creativity, I wholeheartedly recommend Deandra and her team at Borst Landscaping!

We wanted to redesign the landscaping both near our front entrance and the backyard. Our lawn company referred Borst to us. Kenny and his team did a wonderful job. Kenny came and checked out the space while patiently listened all my requests and goals. He also answered all my following questions regarding the contract and the plants. The communication was pretty clear and responsive. Kenny and his team delivered the design beautifully. We loved the trees that Ken picked. The final outcome also exceeded our expectations. Ken and his team also helped us setting up auto sprinkler and helped checking out the plants weekly while we were traveling.

I would definitely recommend Kenny and his team. They do the job with a lot of care. I feel the only regret is that the communication with the job coordinator in the company is missed somehow. I didn't get a call beforehand to schedule a date and the team just showed up one day morning and started to work which caught me unprepared. Overall good experience.

This was my first experience with Borst Lanscape to remove 9 damaged Privet hedges and replace with new ones. First off, the replacement Privet hedges were amazingly good products. Kenny from the garden maintenance division had brought in great products, great crew to get the job done right the first time. Kenny's partner Karl and crew supervisor Hector were at site on time bringing in the new plats, and the hard-working crew; Deyvi, Kelvin, and Gustavo. This was not an easy job, but the crew overachieved and put a masterpiece together. Thank you, Kenny and team, for this great job...well done! I definitely recommend Borst Lanscape and Design for all your yard/garden work.

Ken Stagg and his crew did a beautiful job designing and installing new landscaping for my home. Kenny brought his expertise and knowledge, listened to my plant and color preferences and incorporated them into the design, while also making suggestions that fit my budget and needs. I needed deer resistant, shade tolerant plants, and I wanted year-round color, and he checked all the boxes. I’m so happy with the results!

We have had trouble with our front yard plantings over the years since they are mostly in shade. I've seen beautiful work by Borst so I hired them to help. I met with Karl Wahlberg who was quick to respond to my request for an appointment and quote. He was knowledgeable and immediately came up with a comprehensive plan. He suggested that we first thin out the branches and take down some small trees to allow more sun to reach the beds and grass. He arranged for the tree company to come right away. Then we asked him to choose a variety of shade tolerant plants. He and his team prepared the beds by removing the dead plants and moving around some of what was left. Then they filled in the beds with a variety of new plants and it looks beautiful. He also suggested that we have our irrigation company install a few more spray heads in the beds, which we did.
I am very pleased with Karl's work and I am optimistic these plants will thrive. He is professional, knowledgeable, informative and responsive. It's not easy to get all those qualities in one person! I highly recommend Karl!

We could not be happier and have remained loyal Borst customers over the years thanks to the exceptional service provided by our account manager, Roberto Sanchez. His attentiveness and responsiveness to our lawn care needs are reflected in the beauty of our landscaping, which consistently earns compliments from our neighbors.

Borst Landscaping transformed our property with exceptional skill and professionalism. Their talented team executed multiple projects around our home with remarkable precision and artistry.
The results are stunning, creating an outdoor space that exceeds our highest expectations. I wholeheartedly recommend Borst to anyone seeking top-tier landscaping services, confident they will deliver extraordinary results.

I would like to express a great experience with Borst Landscape & Design. From the start Ken Stagg provided guidance, a wealth of knowledge behind his design scheme and tremendous value for the $$$. He was there at plant installation time and placed every plant and shrub out like an artist. Davey and his crew were fabulous in planting, mulching and the cleanup was spotless. Ken and his Team transformed our yard into an oasis and are very happy we chose them for the job. I highly recommend Ken and his team for any landscaping needs.

We recently switched to Borst for our weekly landscaping servicing even though they cost more. Their organic options and customer service are excellent and after a few weeks we felt confident to engage them in more extensive landscaping design.

Karl and Aaron and their team were fantastic. They removed hedges and rose buses and set up new plantings in our front yard that are so much better suited to our home. They helped us clear away ivy in the back year to reveal a beautiful stone wall and moved shrubs that had become overgrown. They added arborvitae that add visual interest and privacy.

We are thrilled with the results and highly recommend them!
